Tuesday morning feel good story

| March 24, 2015

Tim sends us our first story this morning, from Arizona;

According to Phoenix Police Sgt. Trent Crump, a son and his mother were fighting inside of a vehicle in the area around 10:30 p.m.

At some point, the son reportedly began stabbing his mother in the vehicle, and she eventually fell out near the intersection.

Crump says several people tried to help her, but were unable to get the son to stop. A neighbor eventually grabbed a handgun and shot him.

Police say the son was declared dead.

If any of you ever see me stabbing my mother, please shoot the shit out of me.

Chief Tango sends our second story this morning, from Pennsylvania;

Police say a 40-year-old man was inside the barbershop when he started fighting with another person inside. The altercation quickly escalated and the man pulled out a gun and opened fire.

At that point, authorities say, another unidentified man took out his own gun and the shot the gunman multiple times in the chest. He was rushed to Presbyterian Hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The man who shot and killed him later surrendered to authorities at 16th District headquarters, but it wasn’t immediately known if he would face any charges.

“The person who responded was a legal gun permit carrier,” said Philadelphia Police Captain Frank Llewellyn. “He responded and I guess he saved a lot of people in there.”

Yep. When seconds count, the cops are only minutes away. Good for the two citizens who took independent action, and saves multiple other lives.

Two for two. Two down, an infinity to go. Targets of Opportunity.

When someone is engaged in violent, destructive behavior, sometimes nothing else works.
