Tuesday morning feel good stories

| February 24, 2015

Our first story comes from California;

The incident started as a robbery before 1 a.m. on the 400 block of Acacia Lane in Santa Rosa. The homeowner shot at least one of the robbers during the home invasion.

The homeowner called 911 and told police several armed males tried to force their way into the caller’s home, also occupied by a female and two children. The residents and the suspects exchanged gunfire and the suspects fled in a vehicle, police said.

None of the home’s residents were injured, according to police.

What that article doesn’t say is that, because it’s in the San Francisco, it involved a marijuana grow house, according the SFGate. The police found the pot thieves in a parking lot and used tear gas to coax them out of their car. the dead fellow doesn’t seem to have been affected by the gas, though.

Next we go to Arizona, where they call someone who was shot forcing his way into a home a “victim”;

When police arrived on scene, they found a 31-year-old man shot and killed.

Phoenix police say the man did not live in the home, but was visiting three women who lived there.

Authorities say the victim was involved in an ongoing domestic dispute with one of the women.

Police say when the victim arrived at the house, he forced his way inside and was shot by one of the womens’ friends.

The shooting suspect left before officers arrived on scene. Authorities are attempting to locate him for questioning.

Another fatality happened in a North Carolina burglary;

The homeowner was asleep upstairs when he heard a noise downstairs, officials said. He grabbed a shotgun and went to investigate.

Deputies said that the person who broke into the home died on the way to the hospital from a gunshot wound.

Officials are searching for a second person who also broke into the man’s home. The person ran off when shots were fired, officials said.
