Friday morning feel good stories

| November 7, 2014

Once again, Chief Tango sends us links to our feel good stories, the first is from Texas;

A man named Thomas Lopez, 74, said two men came into his apartment and attempted to rob him. He told police that he was armed and feared for his life, so he shot one of the men before the pair escaped. Lopez says he had trouble with his phone, so there was a delay in him calling 911.

So the “friend” of the fellow who was shot dropped off his lifeless body in a gas station parking lot. There’s that honor among thieves thing again.

The next story comes from Portland, Oregon. When I first read the story, I thought that maybe we knew the perp because of his choice of businesses in which he hid, but no;

Officers say when they arrived to the 4800 block of Northeast 106th Avenue, the homeowner said the suspect entered the mobile home and that’s when he confronted the suspect with a handgun. The suspect fled the mobile home as the homeowner fired the gun.

The suspect then climbed on the roof of “Passionate Dream Lingerie Modeling” and climbed down the roof hatch. Police found the suspect and took him into custody.

Trinidad Alatorre, 30, was not injured during the shooting and police say he appeared to be under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
