Joe doesn’t back down
For all of the media scrutiny he’s endured in the last two weeks, Joe the Plumber doesn’t shrink from being vocal about his political ideology. Yesterday in an online chat with Washington Times readers, he typed that he is scared for America under Obama;
“My gut feeling as he answered my questions? I was scared for America,” he wrote in response to a reader who asked “When you were face to face with Obama, what were you thinking and how did it feel?”
Echoing some of the same things written on this blog, Joe says he doesn’t trust Obama;
“What worries me is that he is deciding that $250k is rich right now, but what’s to stop him from changing his mind?” Mr. Wurzelbacher said Friday..
“As we all know, politicians change their minds at the drop of a poll. Personally, I think it will have to go lower. How else will he pay for all he wants big government to do?” he said.
For Ohioans, Joe may not ever go away;
He also said Friday that he would consider running for Congress in 2010, challenging in the Toledo-area district represented by longtime Rep. Marcy Kaptur.
“I’ll tell you what, we’d definitely be in one heck of a fight,” Mr. Wurzelbacher said during an appearance on the Laura Ingraham show Friday. “But, you know, I’d be up for it.”
I’d love to see him unseat Kaptur the cow who I watched pray at the altar of the IVAW in a Congressional committee room a few months ago alongside Maxine Waters.
My buddy, Skye at Midnight Blue, says she’s Joe, too;

I’d support Joe. 🙂
But what I need to know is what they put in the water over there at the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters. A conservative or moderate farm-boy just graduating from the Local Vocational School who wants marriage to be between a man and a woman, who thinks America’s a pretty good place for any race, and if you’re here LEGALLY- he’ll work along side of you– joins the UA so he can get a job out there in the sticks, and next thing you know he’s a flaming liberal sheep, WTH? I just don’t get it. At all.
The same would happen to Joe. Why?
Jonn,
By the way, Obama’s worker bees here in Ohio have used government computers to dig into his DMV records:
“State and local officials are investigating if state and law-enforcement computer systems were illegally accessed when they were tapped for personal information about “Joe the Plumber.”
Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher became part of the national political lexicon Oct. 15 when Republican presidential candidate John McCain mentioned him frequently during his final debate with Democrat Barack Obama.
The 34-year-old from the Toledo suburb of Holland is held out by McCain as an example of an American who would be harmed by Obama’s tax proposals.
Public records requested by The Dispatch disclose that information on Wurzelbacher’s driver’s license or his sport-utility vehicle was pulled from the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles database three times shortly after the debate.”
