Attack of the Astroturf: “Worried Women of America” short on women, long on XY chromosomes…
I love a good faux-grassroots group. A poster over at Little Green Footballs noted a Youtube user going by the name McBushBINLying and questioned who was bankrolling him. Anyway, I started hunting around a bit. Seems McBushBINLying just started up a few weeks ago, and doesn’t like the Republican nominee. He also seems to have a friend named McCainsNotAmerican who is pressing this ridiculous Panamanian thing. I won’t even go into how retarded that is. Anyway, that second person joined on October 17. BinLying joined the day before.
BinLying likes to compare McCain to Hitler, which is like *SO* original. My personal favorite video of his is cleverly entitled “ALL RACIST FOR MCCAIN-MCCAIN IS NOT WHITE HES PANAMANIAN.” Because, as you all know, Panamanians aren’t white. A lot of the charges this asshat makes appear to be based on the website ProgressiveOhio.org. His video either uses the same info as that site, or they both get it from the same source. Either way, note the picture of McCain at the top, and the prolific use of it in his videos. (And once again, using fallacious votes, just take a look.)
That isn’t really dispositive of anything, so I kept digging. Seems BinLying here also is a big fan of Worried Women of America. He Favorites all their videos. Ever heard of ’em? Nope, me neither.
So I went to their website. Look for the “Who We Are” page. It ain’t there. There is no indication whatsoever as to who these Worried Women are. But, if you are a worried woman, you can make a video and send it in to them:

Wait a minute…..Worried Women of America is run by a dude? Not just one dude, 3 dudes. Here is CommCore’s website. There’s Andrew, Jerry and Nicholas, the women who are worried. They aren’t worried about using small children in their hit piece videos though. Not even a little:
Their actors are just that, actors. Those videos are no more grassroots than Star Wars. I’m going to keep digging, but I just love these groups. Love ’em. Here’s an idea: if you aren’t actually dudes, how about proving that.

I am worried that you seem to be so worried about the Worried Women of America. What’s important is that John McCain finished near the bottom of his class at our fine alma mater, The United States Naval Academy. That is truly worrying, and as an aspiring midhipmen, I am concerned for McCain-Palin.

LT Nixon is an honorable man, unlike yourself who spends all of your time supporting McCain. And regards to his arrest at a rest stop along I-90 in western South Dakota, LT Nixon had no idea that tapping your foot twice and knocking on the adjacent stall twice was code for anything lewd. He was merely trying to make sure the undercover police officer using the bathroom was okay.

I do however love that I am the one pegged as supporting McCain. I dislike him only marginally less than the other guy. I will vote for him, but he wouldn’t be either my 1st or 101st choice.
