Tuesday morning feel good story

Police line

Good morning, TAH, here’s your feel good story for this Tuesday morning from Jackson, Mississippi where yet another fine American was forced to defend his family against evil that came in the bright light of the afternoon.

Police responded to a shooting call about 1:30 p.m. at a home in the 1100 block of West McDowell Road, authorities said.

Jackson Police Department officers found a 19-year-old with a fatal gunshot wound to the head, authorities said. Police said the teen, who lived next door, climbed in through a window.

The homeowner, whose name was not released, was taken in for questioning, police said.

And the good guy gets to go home once again.

Next door neighbor’s child!?
It would be interesting to see the profile on the yoot, his family and the neighborhood.
And being next door, I sense a civil lawsuit in the making, and quickly. “But he was always such a GOOD boy, trying his best to turn his life around. Why did that mean mean neighbor man have to kill my angelic boy with that eeeevil gun.” (/sarc off)

The only time my house was broken into, it was the neighbor’s 19 year old son.

The kid went to jail. The hardest thing was having the kid’s mother show up at the door to apologize for her son, and to offer to pay for the loss and the damage. She wasn’t trying to get us to excuse him; she was mortified because she knew us personally. Her life went in the tank when her thug son moved back home.

How does Frankie like his coffee? Cuban, black with sugar, and a Real Good, Feel Good Story on the side.
Love it.

Since this was on the local news I’ll fill in some holes…
The youth had a record, including burglary. The homeowner had been burglarized just last week as well. Seems like “taken in for questioning”
Was more for his own protection. *homeowner is white, dead burglar is black.

Ya don’t say??? Huh; who woulda thunk it (the part about the bad guy having a record and the homeowner already have been burglarized previously)??

LebbenB

Damn shame that someone had to defend their lives and property from a next door neighbor.

Old Trooper

Ok, I have a general question/observation: Haven’t these bad guys figured it out, yet, that there really isn’t that much of value in someone’s home that is worth dying over? This kid hadn’t thought about what would happen if the homeowner was home, and armed?? It appears that most don’t and that’s why we have these “feel good” stories pretty much on a daily basis. I know that there is nothing in my house that they would want that is worth them dying for, but if they insist, then I will have to oblige them.

This makes my coffee taste better this morning.

BOILING MAD CPO

Had a kid break into my house while I was sleeping. I did not have any weapons at the time, so just sat on the upstairs top step, and told him to help himself to the tv and VCR, but DO NOT TAKE ONE STEP ON THIS STAIRWAY. I was unarmed and scared shitless but my wife and 2 kids were more important than any electronics. It worked, and he skedaddled empty handed. I shook till morning. BZ
