Monday morning feel good story
Chief Tango sends us our feel good story today, this time from Dallas, where Muhammad Samaad caught someone fiddling around with his livelihood, a Lincoln Town çar that he uses for a limosine;
“Young guy, gentleman about 5-9, 5-10 working with a crow bar or tie handle trying to get into my window,” Samaad recalled as he shows us the damage to his 2009 Lincoln Town car. “Then he came here to this back window and busted this window and I could hear the noise.”
It was Sunday about 4:45 a.m. Samaad woke up, grabbed his handgun and went outside. Then the guy at his town car jumped in a white sedan a few feet away where someone was waiting and they drove off.
“I fired three shots and hit the car and it looks like I think I might have hit someone in the car,” said Samaad.
Samaad says in the four years he’s had his town car, it’s been vandalized in front of his home six times, costing him about $3000 out of his own pocket as the damage is always less than his deductible.
Muhammad hopes that this incident sends a message to the crooks to quit messing with his ability to earn a living. He also says that he may have hit someone in the car with his gunfire. Maybe that will affect their ability to make their living by preying on folks who work hard.

See, now up here in Minnsota, he would have been arrested and charged, because the perps were fleeing and he wasn’t in danger.
To the range for him! Night time firing practice! Lots of it!
OT is right – in many states, once an aggressor has decided to back off, if you shoot him, that is no longer self defense.
@1 and @3 Same here in Washington State. If they are unarmed and retreating, you have to allow them to do so. Otherwise it’s your ass if you take a shot.
Sparks, that’s why out here in the boondocks we have the S.S.S. policy. Shoot, Shovel, Shut up. If they came by car or truck you just need to dig a bigger hole. We have a Coyote problem over here so nocturnal gunfire arouses little suspicion or comment. Country folk do not dial 911 for gunfire. I had a neighbor a few years back who used to shoot the mangy critters with a Sten gun.
Do you remember when the retired Coastie in Seattle shot three home invaders in the back as they were running away. Killed one, shot one in the back, and shot the nut sack off a third. No Charges! Norm Mailing, King Co. prosecutor, said that the homeowner was afraid they would come back so he was justified in shooting. Good call, in my opinion.
