If He’s Lost Bowie State…

| November 17, 2013

You probably can’t find a better example of bedrock Obama support than on the campuses of America’s traditionally black colleges.

But now, with the introduction of Obamacare, the students at Bowie State University find themselves without health insurance after school administrators were forced to cancel their extremely affordable health care insurance to be in compliance with Obamacare regulations.

Watch this video and tell me that there aren’t some hairline cracks developing in that black bedrock of belief in Obama’s infallibility. And this is happening in the heart of America’s wealthiest black-majority enclave, Prince George’s County, Maryland.

Let’s see how long it takes the White House to slap a bring-em-back Band-Aid on this boo-boo.

$20 says they’d all happily vote for him again if they could.

Yeah-99% of those interviewed doubtlessly just want “MOAR SO-SHUL-IZM”, he’s only lost (he hasn’t, but they’re at least pissed at him to a certain degree) them because he hasn’t “given” them enough.

Here’s Bowie’s official statement, in part, regarding the matter of its students’ health insurance: “Bowie State University discontinued its policy of mandatory student health insurance for the 2013-2014 academic year based on feedback from students who wanted to keep their costs lower with new insurance options that are now becoming available under the health care act.”

I guess the feedback didn’t include the students in the video and that the “lower costs” are unique to Bowie.

Bowie is quite selective in its admissions, accepting less than half of applicants. So, it must be a good school. Um, the average SAT score of admitted students is 1343 and the average ACT score is 18. The graduate rate is 13% for four years but soars to 43% after eight years. So, yeah, it’s the Harvard of the Chesapeake.

Obama can promise all he wants, but he doesn’t have the legal authority to change a law once it’s been passed (and especially since he signed it).

Let the thing be set in motion. The hue and cry that results, if the initial outcry is a taste of what’s coming) should be sufficient to force Congress to scrap the law through repeal.

Dontcha just love quotes like this?

“It’s stupid and it’s Obama’s fault,” one said. “You haven’t done anything, Obama, and I’m disappointed in you.”

Ooops!!!

If textbook prices are even close to as bad as my accounting books were while back, these kids are right: they can’t even afford to pay for their own textbooks. And now, this is piled on top of that. And what makes the administrators of Bowie State assume that all of the students are on their parents’ policies to begin with?

This gets better and better with every passing day.

Nothing better that the salty tears of butthurt liberals to make the day complete

Three “Entitlement” counties run Maryland. PG County is one of them.

@7. Just coinkydinky, that’s all. Same with the fact that the statement that clearly did not prompt his sudden termination was removed Friday morning. That, too, was one of them coinkydinkies.

Want some fun? Google military firings by obama. You’ll find that there have been about 200 sudden leadership changes by The Emeperor. You either kiss his ass and sing a song whose lyrics are false or it’s bye bye.

A Proud Infidel

I’m surprised they’re not already blaming Bush!

Short term memory failure, Proud Infidel.

They’d probably say ‘Who?’ by now.

Sorry, but a demographic that voted over 95 percent for Obama knowing full well (or should have) that things for African-Americans got WORSE, not better, for them after Obama’s first term?

I’m having a hard time feeling sorry for ANY Obama voter, especially after seeing what a SCOAMF he was, and voting for him again anyway.

Everyday I am reminded of how lucky I am to have the super-awesome healthcare plan that I have that was untouched by the Affordable Care Act.

Fuck ’em. They voted for him, let them suffer like the rest of us.

I remember being surprised at the demographic shift in PG County – when we lived there ’79-81 and ’86-87 it was far more ethnically diverse – when my wife traveled through there in 1993 it had changed dramatically, and from what I understand now, it is ethnically totally monotone. I suspect George wallace would no longer campaign there…. but if he did, we would be shot again.
