MT woman ends thief’s flight from police
Green Thumb sends us a link from Montana’s Flathead County about 26-year-old Jordan Elliot who was joy riding in a stolen Honda Accord when police spotted him and gave pursuit. Elliot avoided the police until he crashed into a deputy’s patrol car. Elliot then fled the scene until he ran into Michael Stephens who had been listening to the police chase on his radio and left his house to help in the pursuit. Elliot encountered Stephens and hit him Stephens with his own flashlight several times, and then;
Stephens’ wife, Amy, arrived on the scene with a hunting rifle and held Elliot at gunpoint until deputies arrived.
Elliot was arrested and taken to the Flathead County Detention Center, while Stephens was treated for injuries and released from the hospital.
Sometimes the arrival of a gun on the scene ends violence. That’s what happens when level-headed, legal gun owners use their rights in the pursuit of justice.
Was she compensating by using that loooong hunting rifle?
I’m sure Libtards around the country are weeping for this injustice that occurred and will be demanding charges be brought upon the lawful citizen to be charged with brandishing a firearm.
Anti-Gun = Pro-Crime? Looks that way to me.
These are the stories that the leftist anti-gunners don’t want to acknowledge, because it doesn’t fit their narrative. They blabber on about there not being any proof that more guns make us safer, yet ignore data that shows that less guns make us less safe.
Why did Mr. Stephens bring a flashlight to a gunfight?
Hopefully he got some sense bashed into him.
You saw the one out of Atlanta (Loganville) where the woman hid her twins and self, called 911 then her hubby and plugged the punk with six rounds? None of it fits the anti-gun crowd narrative.
I wondered that too, DaveO. Dude must have thought he is invincible or something, LOL.
DaveO, he knew he had a hardass with a rifle in the overwatch position.
9 Jonn: Never count on overwatch. The insurance money might be too sweet.
@9: LOL!!! Don’t tell my wife!! But, it’s one thing if she takes him out, it’s quite another if someone else tries to do it. Maybe she didn’t want someone else doing it for her? All I know is that shit gets real when a woman is pissed and armed.
That heart-wrenching sobbing that you guys are hearing? It’s the staff of Mother Jones magazine being proven wrong again about guns not solving problems. I’m going to try to store their tears in an oak cask, age it for four years and bottle it.
Pax? You going to label it as?
Women and guns.
Scary.
Oddly enough, we did not hear about this on the national news.
or about the woman in GA that shot her home invader in the face 5 times.
BUT! Fear Not… another “Mass shooting” in Aurora Colorado to fear monger on
Streetsweeper, that’s a good question. I’ll need something distinctive yet amusingly ironic. “Nectar of Reality” has a nice ring to it…
Watch out, now they’ll want to ban assault flashlights.
Twice I’ve shown a weapon here in Phoenix to deter inappropriate behavior. And once had the over-watch happen. A guy jumped into our backyard. I went out to confront him while the wife came out shortly behind me with her 1911 in hand. The guy jump back out of the yard pretty quickly.
