SEAL Team Six to be released two days before election
Of course, Harvey Weinstein, the Hollywood-based Obama supporter, who produced the National Geographic show which will be broadcast on November 4, two days before the election, claims that the timing of the broadcast has nothing to do with the election. I don’t think anyone in the country is stupid enough to believe that.
Just from the trailer, you can tell that the movie is a free campaign ad for the Obama folks. Here’s the trailer if you’re interested;

National Geographic denies politics played a role in its decision to air the film so close to the election. Mr. Weinstein has remained silent about his intentions, but the veteran Hollywood producer and studio boss, who has hosted plenty of star-studded fundraisers for Mr. Obama, no doubt hopes the film will remind audiences of the administration’s greatest success — killing the man behind the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.
Yeah, and in case you miss the broadcast, the movie will be available on Netflix the following day – that’s not rare at all, is it?
The Times speculates that the plan could backfire and remind Obama supporters that their candidate is a bloodthirsty killer of terrorists. Yeah, fat chance. I think it’s wishful thinking on the part of the Times that something so simple could turn Democrats away from their candidate. They’ve ignored the fact that he hasn’t kept any of his promises to his base in four years, why would this one convince them otherwise?
But, I do know that the Democrats would have been apoplectic over George Bush using the capture of Saddam Hussein in his 2004 campaign.

Yet they are fighting tooth and nail to push back layoff notifications until after the election.
If this movie is anything like his “Hurt Locker” it is going to be full of so much bull spit.
Layoffs? There are 500 people being laid off in Freeport, IL, because a plant is closing there and moving offshore. Maybe the admin thinks it can hide these things by not talking about them, but if it’s in the news, how will they hide it?
It’s also in the news, this morning, that the State Dept refused repeated requests by the Benghazi embassy for stepped-up security because of a high volume of repeated attacks on that office. That entire event is under investigation by the legislature.

Oh, I’m sure the release date of this movie being just before the election is purely coincidental.

I’m sure it will be 16 hours long to show how long it took Obumbles to make up his mind…after Valerie Jarrett handed him back his balls after telling him no the first three times he was asked.

I’ll probably watch it (FWIW-the Hurt Locker was terrible, but I give it a pass for having its heart in the right place and I hope that maybe the film makers have learned from their mistakes). What gets me though, from what I can see from the trailer, is that a lot of stuff that had lefties screeching from 2001-09, like the treatment of detainees with possible intelligence value, is now suddenly all well and good. Oh, and notice the movies that are being made now about the war, as opposed to the garbage from the early days.
I am torn about watching it.
While i love really good aciton flicks I have a serious problem watching them with actors that don’t believe in what they are portraying. I don’t need to have been SEALs or in the military but I need to not be hypocrits.

Like Woody Harrelson. I can’t stand that guy and refuse to watch his shows (sad…I really liked Cheers). the requirements he forces on production and other actors….like in Zombieland. I understand his character looks for a twinkie. Dude doesn’t even like hamburgers and I am supposed to believe he wants a twinkie?
Ex-PH2: I think Twist was referring to the 60-day notice of possible layoffs – which are required by Federal law – that Federal contractors would send out based on sequestration occurring in January 2013.

Yeah, non-federal contractors give you about 30 seconds notice and you can get your sh1t and get out….
I once (2008) had to close a plant in connecticut on a friday after the owners told everyone on thursday not to worry….80 people told they had an hour to pack up and get out, and because the company was going bankrupt they would get their last check but they would have to sue for vacation pay….
Someone needs to file a law suit … preventing the movie from being shown.

BTW … Just between you and me. Don’t tell anyone. They were 100 % sure (for a long time). Sh*t Christiana Amanpour knew about it in 2008. If she knew then the Tier ONE forces knew and been planning since. But that is just between you and me.

BTW, this isn’t even the BIG movie, that comes out in Dec and supposedly doesn’t have a single drop about Obama in it, just the team. We’ll see.
I, and hundreds of thousands of other people, have read No Easy Day. It will be interesting to compare with the movie. I definitely trust a former Navy SEAL over a Hollywood tool in Obama’s pocket.
Oh, and according to the book, the CIA analyst who had been working on it for over 5 years WAS 100% sure. It looks like they added that to make Obama’s weak indecision look like it it was justified and that he was oh so brave to risk his presidency. B.S.
