The Nuge Says!

| July 2, 2012

This post – posted without electricity BTW, was actually prompted  by Jonn’s post even if somewhat off topic.

NUGENT: Celebrate when good conquers evil

There is so much good news that goes largely unreported that it makes me want to scream. As I write this, just a couple of days ago, a 14-year-old boy in Phoenix who was watching his three siblings at home shot a punk who busted through a door and pointed a gun at the young man.

This is an incredibly wonderful news story that should be the lead story on the evening network news. It should be the front-page story in the New York Times. The Sunday morning talking heads should talk about it.

But it won’t be covered by the media. Outside of the Phoenix area and this opinion piece in The Washington Times, this wonderful good-news story will not be heard or read. What a shame.

I thought I was paranoid, but The Nuge explains why  I’m not.

I love Ted Nugent. That is … figurativley of course. His banter is refreshing, simple, and reflects what good hard working common Patriots all accross this great express either outwardly or in their silence. Good on you Mr. Nugent!

Veritas Omnia Vincit

The only problem with Ted, is Ted….he has told about a dozen different stories in relation to his physical classification and his deferment from the draft not all of them can be true….today he certainly has some nice rhetoric, but I am as suspicious of him as I have always been of Dick Cheney…two guys who talk a lot of shit but avoided the draft the best they could and never a served a day in their lives…

I agree with #2 Veritas. Nugent is showing signs of over compensation.

My dislike of Ted knows little limit….but the event in which he writes is indeed uplifting.

The problem lies in his application and amplification of one local event that he believes should be national news, in order to score political points. He does have a point, but the truth of it isn’t contained to one end of the spectrum.

If this (the Nugent quotation above) is the form in which a man such as Mr. Nugent shows his character — whether or not he made past errors — there MUST BE AN ENCOURAGEMENT, in some form.
There MUST BE, a reward for GOOD behavior; there are many for the bad.

#6 I find flaw with calling the necessity of a 14 year old boy having to shoot an armed intruder “a wonderful news story.”

That the boy did the right thing is unquestionable. That it was “wonderful”…I would leave that judgement up to the boy and not Nugent.

Bottom line: Ted’s draft number was not called. The poop his pants story was to fuck with the reporter’s head. Apparently it worked too well.

Other bottom line: Cheney deferred in 1964. 1-9-6-4. A full year before the battle for Ia Drang. Hardly a hot time in the ‘ol jungle tonight. Since then he has served our country honorably, faithfully, honestly, and with American interest always at the fore.

Facts have a hard time swimming against piled on bullshit.

#4/#7 Yes, it should be a HUGE political point shouted loud and often. Otherwise all we will still hear about is nutballs shooting up work/schools/houses/restaurants. To front page the demise of a bad guy, at the hands of a young but well armed good guy, who also saved the lives and innocence of his brothers and sisters, would put OUR side of reality in the face of America and the Brady bunch. More guns, less crime. More guns, less criminals.

Yes, this is truly wonderful. The lad didn’t take a life; HE SAVED THE LIVES OF FOUR CHILDREN! That he got rid of a worthless puke is simply a bonus for us all.
