On the road

| April 3, 2012

Blogging is going to be spotty over the next few days because TSO and I are on the road to Fort Knox, KY for the Casing of the Colors Ceremony for the 3rd Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) which is deploying to Afghanistan soon. They’re making room for TSO on one of their aircraft, so we’re going to give them the publicity they deserve for their great offer as well as their service.

I gave the corporate chauffeur the week off to take his son to boarding school in Switzerland. I’ll have to drive myself eight hours each way. So I’ll be unable to blog as often as I usually do. But the trade off is, we’re going to get meet some of the guys who are deploying so we don’t have to. And I get to go watch one of these ceremonies without actually being in it for the first time. And I get to spend some time with the delightful Mrs. TSO.

Casing the wrong unit… should be the 800th MP Brigade!

We promise to take good care of them.

headhuntersix: Yeah, do please try and send him back without any unsanitary involuntary body piercings. His wife probably will appreciate that.

Godspeed all, and be careful out there.

As this is my favorite blog…..I will keep TSO safe. I think his wife may knife me at dinner for suggesting this.

Ahhhh!!! I just spent 3 years at Knox before I ETS’d. I helped close down 194th Training Brigade for the move to Benning. I love Knox.

I’d give my left nut to shake the both of yours hand.

Go check out Abel and 2nd Dragoons, right there at the track. There just may still be a pair of painted white and red boots with gold spurs hanging off the phone pole. CSM Beaver probably got the ass and had them taken down, though.

Knox is where I found this blog. How sentimental.

Be safe and have fun. 3rd BDE, 1st ID is there now, too. Duke BDE. They deserve a handshake…went through a lot during their 2008 Afghanistan tour. 1/26 Inf and 6/4 Cav.

Stay safe guys.
