OWS SF protesters attack police with weapons

| November 13, 2011

Yeah, but if the police were to use tear gas or tasers, they’d be screaming to high heaven; (Mercury News link)

About 3:30 p.m., near the Embarcadero and Broadway, police attempted to prevent marching demonstrators from blocking the intersection where MUNI light rail tracks are located.

A female protester emerged from the crowd and an “exacto razor blade attached to a pen or pencil-like object,” San Francisco police said in an email.

“The female slashed the inside of the officer’s hand and ran back into the crowd before the officer had time to realize he was cut,” police said.

In a second incident, a protester grabbed an officer’s police radio and ran back into the crowd. As the officer attempted to retrieve it, a second protester blocked the officer and tore his uniform and cut his cheek, police said, intimating that a weapon had been used.

No arrests have been made in these two incidents.

So, in every other country in the world, this would indicate an escalation, which would mean the police need to escalate their response. But these are cry baby hippies who need to be coddled by the authorities.

Yup, peaceful protestors.

Wondering why those trolls haven’t been around here lately…gee, questions, questions…

Sparky, either they can’t bum an internet connection, or they’re part of the Occutards who got arrested.

Desperately trying to have a second go at Kent State.

First: protestors with weapons attack police.

Tomorrow: Someone fires into the crowd. There are a number killed and/or wounded. SFPD are blamed initially, but all the entry wounds are from the back, and exit wounds everywhere else.

Most modern police radios have a remote “stun/kill” function, so as soon as dispatch was notified of the stolen radio, they could disable it. Other than a high dollar trophy, it would only be useful as a paperweight.

Anybody got tickets to the high seats for the hippie beat down that is coming?

Ugh, it is bad enough to be slashed. But to be slashed by one of those filthy, vermin infested douchebags is even worse. Who knows what strain of Hep or other bloodborne pathogen was on that blade.

@8 AW1 Tim,

Read my mind…
hope you didn’t get in there.

@#8 And Tasers, lots of them.

The Dead Man

I’m waiting for it to become uglier and the police to actually respond. Or for the plague to swing in, not sure what will come first with this group.

Verum Serum has video of Occupy DC group discussing how they need to “win over at least a section of the military in order for this to be a true revolution.”

He also says “we have people organizing inside the military right now.”

This is the first truly disturbing language I’ve seen come out of the Occupiers. In the old days, we used to call it “sedition.” Hope all the right people are paying attention. Wow.

Poohbah, Lord High Everything Else

jordan, this is Occupy trying to use “FUD.” (Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt), to seem bigger than they are.

The segment of the military they’ll actually win over is the brig rat segment.

The Occutards have nothing but disdain for the military–and everyone in knows it.

The nuclear freezers & sandalistas said the same damn thing in the 1980s–that they were organizing “the military” to not obey orders if war came.

Apparently someone at Occupy Portland lobbed a firework or other nifty exploding-fire gizmo into a group of mounted police and injured an on-foot officer. The officer is doing well and the perp is in the Graybar Hotel. As you say, escalation . . .
