More Schepansky antics
Someone sent us a link to the Plymouth Patch article about a letter that Schepansky has submitted to the Canton Board of Education as proof of his claims that he is a Special Forces officer.
A commenter at the article pretty much covers everything that is wrong with the letter;
First the zip code from this letter is North Carolina, not Indiana. I was stationed at Ft. Ben in 1991, I don’t remember this command there.
Also, that seal, the “United States War Office” hasn’t been used in decades.
Also note the zip code is wrong for the “Griffin Consulting”, allegedly in New York, listed in the address line.
There also doesn’t appear to be a 1670 Jefferson Avenue in White Plains, NY…Jefferson Avenue in White Plains is a residential street.
Finally, all U.S. Army officers are commissioned by the President, with advice and consent from the U.S. Senate.
Not to mention;
The letterhead on the stationery, dated Sept. 19, 1999, appears to be from the Department of the Army’s Personnel Administration Center, based at Fort Benjamin Harrison, IN. But the fort was closed in 1995 and turned into national park and residential area.
I hope this shitbag gets some jail time for this obvious forgery.

What a knucklehead. The letter is obviously and undoubtedly fake, and not even a good fake. By the way it shows his MOS as 13, not 18.
Reposted from the other Schep link:
Re “Commissioning Memo” – it is obviously a fake. Just on first glance, here are the problems that I see: all above “Subject” is not correctly formatted; “Attention to Orders” would not be on the subject line; spacing after “subject” incorrect, memo paragraphs are bullets with 1., 2., etc., not indented; date line would not have a comma after the month; officer MOSs (13A4px31 in this case) do not include anything beyond the branch code (13A), because all after identify enlisted skill levels and ASIs; 13A is a field artillery officer, not an SF officer (18A); if he were commissioned effective 30 Jun 1993, he would be YG 93, not 94; no one would ever put the phrase “Command Headquarters, G-1? in anything; report times and dates are in orders, not memos, he would have to have orders to report for pay purposes; there is no such thing as an “allegiance ceremony”; there is nothing called “special instructions” in a memo; orders to a school are in orders, not memos; the Command and General Staff College is CGSC, not C & GS; majors attend CGSC, captains attended CAS3; given the TDY and not PCS “order” the assumption is that the “C&GC Course 00-3? refers to the RC summer course which required a year of classroom study before attending the two week summer phase that could not have been completed given the time line; an officer would not get “DISCHARGE orders” after completing a 2 week school; TDY reimbursement requires travel orders, not discharge orders; the “xxxx” line is not part of the memorandum format; and the signature block should be “LTC, AG” without the spaces between.
I’m just a stupid 11A, so you’d think and an AG corps LTC commanding a PAC would be able to spot those before signing.
“Finally, all U.S. Army officers are commissioned by the President, with advice and consent from the U.S. Senate.”
While all of us held (or hold) our commissions from the President, the Senate advice and consent requirement is limited to promotions to 0-7 (general officer) or above.

That said, I join in with the rest, and hope this guy’s ambitions are flattened by a bus.
Did anyone notice in the .pdf (http://canton-mi.patch.com/articles/us-army-schepansky-no-special-forces-major#pdf-7546194) that he lists being present (C = Military Conflict) in Panama, Grenada, Barbados, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq, Syria, Chad, Angola, Mozambique, and Saudi Arabia? He also list peacekeeping in GITMO, Guyana, Lebanon, Yemen, Somalia, Germany, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand, Borneo, Brunei, Israel, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Bosnia. Interestingly, no HSM, no SW Asia, no AFEM, no MNFO, no NATO or UN, and no anything else to indicate all of that time in combat or peace keeping missions in his 2-1.
That’s funny. 1670 Jefferson Ave is a nice looking neighborhood:

And what is Griffin Consulting? The only Griffin Consulting I found where some healthcare and web design businesses:

After completing school, you don’t receive DISCHARGE orders. You receive a different DD form (can’t remember it right now) that shows that you went to school.
ASI’s are never shown pretty much anywhere except an OER/NCOER or MTOE or UMR.
Never heard of an allegiance ceremony.
Also, I have never seen any orders assigning someone to a year group. Why would it matter?
If he really was fancy-smancy Special Forces, why did it take 6 years to make Captain? Average is 3-4 years.
Give him extra time for being a dumbass.
My opinion is: Send every one of these sonsaguns to Leavenworth and let ’em but rocks until they get it straight in their numb little skulls they ain’t what they thought.
Also, he is a “Cpt.” Captain not a “CPT” Captain.
Old Cav- Sorry, as a Reserve Navy officer, I should know that!
Brian – usually they do year group because that matters to when you are promoted later. Not that it matters in this case.
And they did turn most of the former Ft. Ben base over to private enterprise, but as in most of these cases, there is still some military activity there. But the offices in this letter don’t check out.
Bobo, I agree with everything you said. There’s just SO MUCH WRONG with this letter.
@Robert Carr: I was promoted to Captain in 2009. No mention of my year group!
It’s so cool that the War Office returned after being defunct for 50 years just to grant this guy a commission! He deserves to be in Extra Special Forces!
Extra Special Forces–is that where they drive around in short busses instead of Humvees?
Or a Kia. Either works.
Brian- I got Navy LT in 2008. We include year group in ours, that’s how we know when we’re up for promotion. Our rectangle must be better than your train tracks.
In the Army, arent MOS/ASI identifiers seen as 3-digits followed by a single alphabetical letter? IE, as a warrant, which is what I am TRYING to become, I am not claiming to be one, Im in the accessions process to become a 153A, or Rotary Wing Aviator. My current MOS/ASI is as a 15D10-or Basic Aircraft Powertrain Repairer. It would go to D20 when I become a Sgt, and a 30 when I hit SLC. (Thats if I remain enlisted). Either, this guy is about as useful as a football bat. The moron can t even make a good fake, and even with that letter, isnt that forging a Federal Document? What is that, 225,000 dollars later and 10 years in jail at minimum?
Nice work, Schepansky.
and I also invite all of us here at TAH to come along and smear the living bejeezus out of him on his own support page.

I’m sure some judge will let him off because forgery is, after all, just an expression of free speech.
@robert: Do you include sexual preference too? 😉 Just kidding.
Discharge orders from TDY? Even a Reservist or Guard has to return to home station before coming off of title 10 status. This things just reeks phoney. Any S1 clerk would pick up this stinky, hold their nose and dump it in the nearest shitcan.
Last I checked Reservists don’t go on TDY per se. It is the old ADSW. At any rate, he would have gotten a DA Form 1059 (AER). So where’s that?
The letter is dated 19 September 1999, to acknowledge an alleged promotion that occurred on 30 June 1993? I know bureaucracies move slow, but that slow?
And, peacekeeping in Germany?
Wow! the retards on the Free Schepansky page are completely clueless. Some idiot is saying it’s ok that he lied who are we to judge we should look at our own dark places. I asked if Ray claimed to be a Surgeon would it be OK if he operated on your child then?
Not only did he list serving in all those places, he took leaves of absence from school to go serve! Twice!
Good luck getting through to any of the ding dongs on that facebook free shepansi (schepanski) website. WIsh someone could get acopy of his DD214 and the separation codes. His lawyer and Schepansi refuse to release the info.
I still don’t get the NC zip code… This zipcode is in the middle of no where: http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&safe=off&q=28020-5602
however…
According to this, the military is still partially using Fort Benjamin Harrison:
“Today, the military maintains a strong presence at the former base. The Department of Defense retains an Army Reserve Center at Fort Harrison…”
http://www.fhra.org/about/History/default.aspx
According to this, the “War Office” seal may still be used for legal purposes: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Department_of_the_Army_Seal_and_Emblem
I can’t find much more info… probably because I don’t know what phrases to use etc.
The seal used here, looks a lot like 1997 style Microsoft clip art…
