ElBaradei vows to defend Gaza from Israel

| April 5, 2011

Do you remember when Mohamed ElBaradei was the UN’s International Atomic Energy Agency chief and assured us that Iran was not involved in developing nuclear weapons? Well, now we find out why. He has promised to scrap the Jimmy Carter-brokered peace agreement between Egypt and Israel in the event that the “Zionist regime” assaults Gaza to stop missiles from raining down on Israelis.

He also stated that “Israel controls Palestinian soil” adding that that “there has been no tangible breakthrough in reconciliation process because of the imbalance of power in the region – a situation that creates a kind of one way peace.”

Clearly, ElBaradei is blind to the actual political and military events between Israel and the Palestinians. Apparently, he was rooting for the Iranians to develop the capability to nuke Israel while working at the UN.

I wonder if the Obama Administration is still enamored with his candidacy for Egypt’s president.

Jonn; There is a bit more to this ElBaradei story that needs included too. Discussing his agenda for Egypt, ElBaradei said that distribution of income between the different classes in Egypt would be his most important priority if he were to win the upcoming elections.

“I wonder if the Obama Administration is still enamored with his candidacy for Egypt’s president.” Of course he is, and by extension, so is his administration. O doesn’t support Israel, so anything to keep them on edge is good. Samantha Power is a foreign policy advisor to Ears, and she feels that we need to be “more evenhanded” in our approach to Israel and Palestine. Even handed apparently meaning to cut Israel loose and “invest” the money in Palestine.

Probably Bush’s fault: all that stress trying to verify whether or not Iraq had WMD, sometimes yes, sometimes no. It’s Bush’s fault that El Baradei got a Nobel Peace Prize for publicly opposing Bush (the signature requirement, btw).

It’s hard to be a pimp.

“…because of the imbalance of power in the region.” hey Egypt, why don’t you try to “correct” that imbalance. Remember the previous pasting you’ve gotten? I dare you go ahead!

It’s “pastings.” Plural. Egypt hasn’t won since that whole Red Sea incident.

… forgot the “s”. Couldn’t remember if pasting had an “e” or not.
