Yes, I am still in mourning.

| January 21, 2011

Seriously, Old Yeller getting shot was party time compared to my house Sunday night. I went to bed at 8pm in the fetal position with tears on the pillow. I woke up still weeping. Bambi’s mom getting shot? That was a trip to Disney World compared to the epic bedshitting on Sunday. I’d rather be tea bagged by the homeless guy with the Golden Voice than go through that again.

I tried (I really tried) to focus on pitchers and catchers reporting in a few weeks. Nope, as Bush the Elder might say “Not gonna do it. Wouldn’t be prudent at this juncture.”

Finding a little solace in Fitzy, but honestly, not much.

Totally NSFW warning.

By the way, the homeless guy with the Golden Voice is named Ted Williams.

Yeah. Imagine that. Half of Boston would have loved to be tea-bagged by Ted Williams, but not that one.

Just A Grunt

I have sooooo been waiting for this video, but only because misery loves company. You see I hitched my wagon to the 13-3 Atlanta Falcons and am now left with figuring out who to root for now, GB or Chicago. I will probably go with GB since the Prezbo is backing the Beers and I sorta like GB from childhood.

Originally being from Chicago, I gotta go for the Bears. Rather happy with the way the season is turning out….

Since my Sweet Home is Chicago, I am of course rooting for the Bears this Sunday against the hated CrumbPackers. I have been looking forward to this game all week with more excited anticipation than I was the week leading up to the Bears-Colts Super Bowl a few years back.

I am SO sick of hearing how god-like and perfect and unstoppable is Aaron Rodgers and how the Bears stand no chance at slowing down him and the amazing CrumbPackers. I hope the Bears D slams his arrogant, overconfident ass into the Soldier Field turf so many times on Sunday that he’ll have to attend the post-game press conference with ice packs on his entire body.

And I hope Martz comes up with a great offensive game-plan to dissect the supposedly equally Rodgers-esque, god-like CrumbPackers D, and Cutler and Co. execute it and shut up all the know-it-all “experts”.

All I know is nothing would be more painful to Bears fans than to have to watch the hated CrumbPackers celebrating a trip to the Super Bowl on our field. I am going to be MAJORLY pissed off if the Bears don’t show up to play Sunday and lay an egg and allow the CrumbPackers to celebrate on our field.

I hope Marinelli lights a fucking fire under the D-Line’s asses and they have Rodgers running for his life and his face eating Soldier Field turf all afternoon the way the ’85 Bears did to Phil Simms. I want Peppers to do his best Richard Dent impression.

I’ll be rooting for Bears-Steelers in the Super Bowl, because I don’t want to hear all the Bears-haters saying that a Bears win over the Jets was not as impressive, since it was ‘just the Jets’.

Beat the CrumbPackers, beat the Steelers and all the Bears-hating, Cutler-hating “experts” can shove it.

GO BEARS!

Steelers win number 7! How sweet!

Would absolutely love a Bears-Steeler Super Bowl. Two really old NFL teams duking it out. Actually Packers Steelers would be good also for the same reason, but I just remember the Pre-Chuck Noll years where the Bears and Packers used to eat the Steelers lunch every year. I’ve always been a kindof closet Bears fan and a buddy of mine who was on 2 Super Bowl Steelers teams father played for the Bears.

I’m really a Carolina fan….how sad is that.

Can’t wait until Sunday!

AirCav, all respect for you. . . out the window. ha ha like I said I CAN’T STAND THE STEELERS

NHSparky

Good, now maybe Brady can cut his fucking hair, burn those fucking Ugg boots which are more show than function in a New England winter, and take his fucking balls back from Gisele.

Doc…let me know how that brick feels Sunday night! Better start the Metamucil today. Try the Orange flavor. Easier to get down.

It was nice to be respected…especially by a Doc, if only for a short time. 🙂

I don’t follow ‘professional’ feetball much.

But… I remember the Ditka Bears. Real football!

So I’ll go with them even if The Steelers ARE in my backyard.

Born and raised in Pittsburgh. Gotta love that the game will be at home tomorrow night. Git aht yer terrible tahwls!

Stop being such a wuss, at least you have a respectable team this year. Me? All I got was a QB that liked to send pic of his Johnson to uninterested women and the collapse of the stadium roof that mirrors the overall success of this years season.

Oh please. You know what I had to deal with when I moved to Michigan after graduating from Purdue in 1999? I had to hear about how the Blackhawks sucked and the Red Wings ruled. I had to hear about how Purdue wasn’t a real school and the Michigan Wolverines ruled. Constantly. Day after day after day.

Now, I already hated most Detroit professional sports teams — that was solidified after the “Bad Boy” Pistons walked off The Palace court before the game was even over when the 1990-1991 Chicago Bulls swept their asses out of the Eastern Conference Finals — but I eventually became a die-hard Ohio State Buckeyes fan, because I had gotten so sick of the arrogant, condescending jackasses telling me how godlike and perfect was the University of Michigan in everything and how my alma mater, Purdue, was crap.

Also, listening to Sports Talk Radio here the last 5-6 years (97.1FM The Ticket), it is pretty obvious that there is a major hatred they have for all Chicago Sports teams. And it’s pretty obvious to me that it stems from jealousy of Detroit going down the tubes — both the city and its sports teams, sans the Red Wings — and Chicago being seen on par with New York and Los Angeles. These guys *never* miss a chance to rip on Chicago and say how they don’t think the teams are any good, regardless of whether they are in 1st place or not. Hell, this past week, all they kept whining about was how the Bears are frauds, because the Lions almost beat them twice.

So yeah, while Michigan sports teams suck *now*, Michigan and Detroit Sports fans were as arrogant, stuck-up pricks as Yankee fans are now.

So to say that I have no sympathy for the suffering of the fans of any Michigan and Detroit sports teams right now is an understatement. I have been especially thoroughly enjoying the demise of Michigan football and basketball. heh

Mike, that Purdue win yesterday was unbelievable. Just a phenomenal game for them, after looking relatively lackluster against PSU.

Yeah, that was definitely a big win for us. Now we’ve got a huge test @ #1 OSU this TUE. I don’t expect us to win, but hopefully we at least are competitive and use it as a measuring stick to see how much we may need to improve.

Doc, it was a really good game, well the second half if you’re a Jets fan. In the new spirit we have found in this country since the Arizona tragedy I’d like to say…BWAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! Jets my ass! 1 yard rushing in the first half???? BWAHAHAHAHAH!

If we go to the Super Bowl….let’s sit together to show the country how we have learned how to get along.

Bubblehead Ray…..STEELERS VS PACKERS! Time for #7 for #7.
