That “One Nation” rally

| October 2, 2010

I was debating with myself last night whether I wanted to go to the rally in Washington today or not. Instead I spent the day at the range blasting little paper targets with my three new pistols. Sorry, I know I’ve let you down. But here’s a video of somone who announced to the crowd that their numbers exceeded those of the Glen Beck event last month;

Yeah, I really don’t think so. This is from CBS;

There are a lot of people, but it’s not as dense as the videos I’ve seen from the Beck thing. You’ll notice that every single news report begins with “hundreds of groups” – because you know, groups is more important than actual bodies. Like I’ve said, we seen rallies, like the protest against the Army Experience Center in Philadelphia, that boasted 30 or 40 groups and like 25 people showed up. So that must be their new strategy – if they can’t force enough union members to show up, if free bus rides to DC don’t bring in the numbers, if a town full of college students are so lazy they won’t even walk across the street to get to the rally, they can boast about the number of two-member groups who announce their support.

I watched some CNN interviews today (I know, me watching CNN, right?) and the people who were interviewed were very careful to explain that they were rallying against Congress…NOT the president. Every single interviewee…like it’s been rehearsed or something. I wonder what that’s about.

Anyway, Donald Douglas, at American Power has aggregated some of the news and blogs that are covering it.

I’m glad I didn’t waste my time and blasted paper targets in Blue-assed Maryland instead.

Even something the left pushes as being spontaneous seems to be so scripted. Sort of like Babs and her hired, illegal alien protesters.
They never cease to amaze me when it comes to acting like children.

I was showing a friend around DC today and accidentally became a part of this rally. I didn’t know it was at the Mall until we got closer to the Lincoln Memorial. There were a lot of people, sure, but many were streaming out by about 3PM. Many of them were foolish enough to wait in line at the Smithsonian Metro stop instead of walking ten minutes to the several others. I was on the lookout for weirdos and was disappointed that there weren’t many characters. I saw one “Free Bradley Manning” shirt and a lot of Truthers, though.

Why would you tout that you had so many people at your rally on a Saturday afternoon? That would just mean you’re un-American and don’t watch football.

Just saw some photos of the aftermath as well as photos of the rally. Not as many people but 10 times the trash on the ground. These people, for all their (reputed) tree-hugging, are PIGS.

Marooned in Marin

I happened to be in DC today (for other reasons) and went by there for about 30 mins. I have photos up here.

At the 40 second mark the guy says more folks now than on the 29th. Beck’s rally was on 8/28. Like I’ve always said, lefties are either liars or idiots. The guy in the video is one of the latter.

Here’s a pic of the rally, not sure what time it was though.

And I’m sure you’all are gonna like this. Video of the trashing (defacing) of the WWII memorial.

Call me whatever, but the people who did this don’t deserve the air they breathe. I wonder how many HonorAir vets were there to see it?

Joseph Brown

I wonder how they got that many idiots at the same place at the same time?

This oughta give you an idea:

Hypocritical bastards. Guess their feeling is that the WWII guys died for their right to trash their monument. Maybe they can spray paint The Wall next.

Sparky’s picture really says it all.

I’ve been DUmpster diving today and apparently Glenn Beck’s rally had a few dozen people but the entire population of the free-thinking world showed up at the Tard-a-palooza yesterday to demand greater freedom by embracing socialism.

The left only likes to “join” things. They don’t actually get out and stand up for it. Hypocrites is spot on. And that effing mess they left at the memorial is beyond the pale. Sigh. Some things will never change.

UpNorth

In what little I saw of the coverage, the only people who were doing anything were the organizers. The rest seemed to stand around, looking like they were waiting for their buses back to the hood.
And, yeah, the left has no respect for anything. Evidenced by the mess they left at the WW II Memorial.

Claymore

You know, you’d think that with all the DUI and other court ordered mandatory public service crap these people are used to having assigned to them, they might know how to pick up their trash a little better.

I don’t much care for rallies and big speeches, it all seems silly to me whoever is doing it.

But those fuckers that left the WWII Memoral that way should have their asses beat. To them, it seems, it was only a place to sit in the shade and stroke each others egos.

Man, that really pisses me off.

Durka-Durka

Yah it pisses me off. When I had that video sent to me of the WWII memorial, I could’ve literally choked a liberal to death at that moment. My great-uncle landed in Normandy on D-Day +6, as a half-track gunner, and did his tour throughout all the major battles. He doesn’t want to go on those HonorAir flights, and after this I don’t have the stones to ask him to go again.
