Trump- Fix the UN

Exclusive — ‘MUNGA’: Ambassador Waltz Unveils Trump’s Plan to ‘Make the UN Great Again’
Matthew Boyle
NEW YORK — U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz told Breitbart News exclusively that he, at the direction of President Donald Trump, is pushing to “Make the UN Great Again.”
Waltz, in a lengthy exclusive on-camera interview on the floor of the General Assembly of the UN taped on Oct. 23, took Breitbart News inside the nitty gritty of how Trump and his team are accomplishing this feat—using the strength of American taxpayer dollars to force reforms that have now been embraced at least to an extent by the Secretary General of the UN, Antonio Guterres. After the interview, Waltz took Breitbart News for a walk through the UN headquarters in Manhattan down the famous “Hall of Flags” where he handed Breitbart News a “MUNGA”—or “Make the UN Great Again”—hat. The hat, which is white and blue—UN colors—closely resembles the president’s red “MAGA,” or “Make America Great Again,” hats.
Waltz told Breitbart News that the UN has grown far too “bloated” with woke insanity since its founding—much like other bureaucracies such as USAID, which Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio gutted earlier this year.
“So just like we saw with USAID, this progressive ideology has infected so many aid organizations and then here at the UN—which has been around again since the end of World War II, set up in the wake of it in the 1940s—it’s now proliferated and bloated and grown like so many other bureaucracies would and do over 80 years,” Waltz said. “There are seven agencies that say their number one objective is dealing with climate. Seven. Regardless of how you feel about it, what you want to debate on it, let’s get that down to one at best and cut out the other six. What they call the Secretariat, which is kind of like the executive branch, has grown to tens of thousands of employees living here in one of the most expensive cities in the world. We’re going to cut that back.”
Case in point, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) a London-based United Nations body comprised of 176 member countries, is responsible for regulating the safety and security of international shipping and preventing pollution on the high seas.
The IMO crafted and approved a plan to curtail the shipping industry’s carbon emissions by imposing the world’s first-ever global carbon tax. The plan would require shippers to pay a fee per ton of greenhouse gas emissions above a certain threshold. The fees would then be pooled into a fund and distributed to support the development of alternative fuels and decarbonization in developing countries. In other words, a self-licking ice cream cone for the UN.
Trump declared the proposal a “global green new scam tax on shipping” and withdrew from IMO negotiations. His administration began pressuring member nations to abandon the deal by warning that the U.S. was considering additional tariffs, visa restrictions, additional port fees, and sanctions on countries that voted for the IMO plan.
So much for the plan.
Waltz points out that UN bodies and agencies set global standards that can affect every aspect of Americans’ lives, and that is why the United States must engage with the UN- to ensure that the United States’ competitors and adversaries do not rig the system against America.

How can anyone “make the UN great again”? It wasn’t ever great, might’ve been good once or twice, but has been a historic failure from day one.
SFC D
I was just thinking the same.
It’s way past time for the US to defund the UN and kick them out of NY.
On second thought, if Damn-mammy is elected…….let the UN stay. That would be a socialist-a-socialist (can’t say “mano-a-mano”) cat fight worth watching.
Stock up on popcorn and libations……….
The ONE good thing that I can think of that the UN has done in all its history (and which was quickly regretted by most of them) is to recognize Israel as a sovereign state.
They’ve been working to undo that one accomplishment ever since.
Time for the UN to move. I propose we pay for the moving service to the nearest sea port, air freight terminal and say there’s your shit, you’ve been evicted. The cost is on you now for storage and final moving expenses. Of course, the carbon tax fee that they are all in favor of will be quickly rescinded when the tax is figured in the final shipping bill.
Contract with Mayflower moving company. It was good enough for us to get here, it should be good enough for them to leave here.
It can move to Davos, Switzerland with all the other globalists/SPECTRE agents. Notice how Chy-na seems to be exempt from all the green global initiatives?
Let the UN pay for moving itself. Not one more American dollar should be spent on that organization.
Give them 90 days to find a new location and move out. On the 91st day, lock and shutter the building and arrest anyone attempting to gain access.
The building could be repurposed for something useful, or torn down.
Turn to UN building into a pre deportation holding center
I wasn’t talking about moving them back to where they came from, but moving them out of the building. We can show a little class by moving it to a shipping port where the seagulls can do seagull stuff to it instead of dumping it on the street where the homeless and rats can pick it clean. Now that I type that, that doesn’t sound like a terrible idea.
There is a reason why terrorists have not flown a plane into
the UN building. I can only guess what that reason is.
Hard to fly a plane or drive a truck bomb into a building you’re actively sitting inside of.
Blowing up your funding source is stupid. Even indoctrinated jihadists know that.
I wish them well but won’t hold my breath about any improvements.
Well, like all institutions, they will get hijacked by the Left again, regardless of if Trump can fix it now or not.
Eternal vigilance is the price of freedom. Or something like it.
I say dump that shithole. Too many factors outside American control.
Brings up an interesting question: can the UN be fixed or is it too far gone?
I was thinking the acronym MUNGA was Make the UN Go Away.
I like my definition better.
Remember way back when France kicked NATO out of their country? Not sure why we can’t do the same thing with the UN.
When France booted NATO and us out of the country, President Lyndon Johnson told Secretary of State Dean Rusk to ask DeGaulle if his order included the 60,000 American soldiers buried in France during World War I and World War II.
One of my favorite quotes of all time.
You can’t have “FUN” with UN….
And you can’t have you can’t have “FUN” without FU….
so put em’ together and whadda ya got!!?? Bibbity Boppity BOOO!!!
Oh, no, I meant to say “FU UN” !!!
IMHO the United Nothing has been FUBAR from day one!
Come on
They are almost as effective as the League of Nations
