Tuesday Tidbits

| September 9, 2025

Let’s open with Mr. Trump and Mr. Epstein. Ever since our hopefully-soon-so-be-former Attorney General, Pam Bondi, said there was no Epstein list (after years of Trump demanding release of the list!) Trump has been decrying the list as bogus and fake, leading many to think he figured prominently on it.

Survivors of Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse — and Ghislaine Maxwell — said they never saw President Donald Trump engage in misconduct, even as scrutiny of his ties to Epstein continues.

In interviews with NBC News published Wednesday, several survivors and their families said they never saw either Trump or former President Bill Clinton involved in wrongdoing.

That last was the figurative nail Trump has been hanging his hat on – expose Clinton! – but it seems that is not to be. But the MAGA faithful can take heart that Mr. Trump was notably absent, too. In interrogation of Ghislaine Maxwell (Epstein’s right hand lady) she said:

“I don’t recollect… ever seeing him in any other context,” Maxwell said of Clinton, explaining she never saw him at Epstein’s residences or private island. She described Clinton as “friendly on the plane” but added, “I didn’t see President Clinton being interested in Epstein. He was just a rich guy with a plane.”

Maxwell also said she never saw Trump behave inappropriately.Dallas Express

Hey, if the plane was going where they wanted to go and had room – they sponged on Epstein for a ride. Ecocrusaders should rejoice that the Presidents reduced Epstein’s carbon-per-passenger-mile numbers, right? Greta should smile.

Transgender-Day-of-Visibility

Moving laterally into the Department of Justice, they are reportedly floating a proposal to ban transgendered folks from buying guns.

The proposal, according to CNN, comes in the wake of a mass shooting at a Minneapolis Catholic church allegedly committed by a 23-year-old trans woman, which has fueled conspiracy theories and right-wing outrage baselessly alleging trans people are predisposed to commit violence.

Restricting trans people from firearms is designed “to ensure that mentally ill individuals suffering from gender dysphoria are unable to obtain firearms while they are unstable and unwell,” a Justice Department official told CNN.

“The DOJ is actively evaluating options to prevent the pattern of violence we have seen from individuals with specific mental health challenges and substance abuse disorders,” a spokesperson told The Independent.  The Independent

Think this one is a non-starter. The National Rifle Association has already come out against it, for one – you start disarming people by class and you are on a very slippery slope indeed. Prove someone is dangerous, use due process – go for it. Ban a whole class of people? Bad policy.

Closing with troops being sent to cities – Posse Comitatus is the law of the land and I personally think the current deployments are bad policy. But if they are a catalyst for change, maybe it would be worth it. Ran across a good reason why they may not be that bad:

Washington, D.C., activist Malik Shabazz, whose past controversial statements have included antisemitic and anti-White rhetoric, is calling on gang members and “hardcore men” to unite in opposition to the Trump administration’s crackdown on crime in the nation’s capital city.

In an August Facebook post, Shabazz, who is an attorney and one of the leading figures resisting the Trump administration’s crackdown, called on gang members to come to a ceasefire and “see the real enemy.”

“We are calling on all GANG MEMBERS and hardcore men in the community to a CEASE FIRE against each other; and to see the real enemy; and now come to the table. We are the men you can trust.

Shabazz is the former chairman of the New Black Panther Party and founder of Black Lawyers for Justice, a law firm that has pledged to sue National Guard troops and officers from the Washington Metropolitan Police for “illegal activities” participating in the Trump administration’s crackdown, according to local outlet ABC 7 News.

Shabazz also called for Fruit of Islam (FOI), the paramilitary wing of notorious antisemite Louis Farrakhan’s Nation of Islam, and other controversial Black groups to be the groups that the Black community leans on for security versus National Guard coming into D.C.Fox News

Just who we need running our cities.

Shabazz was the one who called for attacks on Jewish grocery stores and then seemed surprised when people attacked Jewish grocery stores.

Green Thumb

That guy is a dangerous clown.

The surprise by people like this is always very convenient. For them.

I could talk about how antisemitism is affecting people here where I am (in the Pacific Northwest) but I’m trying to stay cheerful, at least until my kids get on the bus.

A Terminal Lance Coolie

Another PNW person. Small world.

Maybe one of these years I can escape this beautiful hell.

Fyrfighter

Has there ever been anyone with that name that wasn’t a POS?

Sure sounds to me like his comments are a call to insurrection, and IMHO he should be charged with such. Until these terrorist / criminal supporters are held to account for their actions, they will continue.

HT3

So when they deploy the national Guard and it effectively lowers crime and improves the lives of many of the folks living in those areas (lots of black people), black “leaders” are upset? For guys like shabazz, he becomes irrelevant when black are no longer living in fear. He needs the crime and violence to have a job. Same as all these politicians: their policies created the environment for crime to thrive, but only their other policies can fix the problem they created. If DJT comes to town and lowers crime and increases their safety, Democrats will be out of power. They’ll stack up black bodies like cord wood to stay in power, and that’s black politician’s as well.

I saw a informative poll last night, it was on the news so I don’t have a link. Essentially the division is on support for the intervention is 42-58.

There was a second poll that was a good explainer.

Support among people who believed the intervention would help was 75-25. Among people who thought it either wouldn’t help or make things worse support was 15-85. So essentially if they didn’t believe that it would help, despite all evidence to the contrary, they didn’t want it. They didn’t even want to try it.

The other facet of this is that there hasn’t been much negative to report about the intervention. Believe me, if there was anything negative to report they would be screaming it from the rooftops. This kind of makes it difficult for Democrats to create opposition. With the murder rate in DC suddenly dropping to one a month and if it stays there, well this argument is over.

Keep in mind that several dem politicians have labeled Veterans as damaged and should be considered practically terrorists. In short, Vets shouldn’t be allowed to have guns either. Jumping on the block groups from guns can and almost certainly will come back to bite you.

IMO the solution to the mass shooting at schools / churches and other areas declared to be “gun free zones” is to stop making gun free zones. All you are doing with them is creating a “safe place” for a terrorist / homicidal criminal to attack with little to no reason to expect anyone to fight back.

Secondly place security at those locations. When confronted the mass shooter stops being an issue when they get dead.

Toxic Deplorable Racist SAH Neande

Secondly place security at those locations. “

And/or allow those teachers/admin that aren’t totally anti-Constitutional to carry in the school. (with a stipend to buy the gun, ammo & training, and a small boost in monthly paycheck).

OAM

How about just letting “concealed carry” be literal. Course, that requires removing the “no gun zone” rules, but once gone, let the loonies try to guess who is and is not carrying. Same net effect without the risk of push-back against those teachers, admins, and school personnel being outed, attacked, canceled, etc., by the other loonies.

Also, a stipend then puts the onus to act on those individuals, and lets the loonies know which ones to either ambush first or avoid.

Again, I really support the “concealed” part.

Graybeard

In (God bless) Texas the churches have the option to prohibit (default is allow).

There are a cruise-line boat load of folks who carry in my church, plus and active cadre of church security folks (most current/former LEOs) and paid LEOs patrolling the campus.

Our pastor has said from the pulpit that were some shooter to to enter our sanctuary his plan of action is to hit the deck because he knows how many of us are packing.

Warriors II coming to a theater near you. Watch as 1st squad, 1st Platoon, A CO, 369th Infantry, Harlem Hellfighters, is accused of the murder of Cyrus Shabazz, who is trying to bring in a ceasefire between gangs in NYC. See the excitement as SSG Swan, a squad leader in the New York Army National Guard is blamed for the murder.

He leads his squad through the night, fighting off surprise ambushes all night from rival gang members before a surprising finale, a battle royale with Luther, the bottle-clinking gang kingpin who actually killed Cyrus.

The movie ends in a stirring scene as our heroes climb the steps of the guard armory in Coney Island while “in the city” plays in the background.

Special guest appearances by GOVs Hochul, Pitzker and Newsome, playing themselves as enemies of the state, Mayor Bass who decries law and order, and candidate Mamdani who, with an electric performance against type, plays the conservative alderman trying to fight crime in the city.

Will Corn Pop be cast as the gang overlord?

Prior Service (RET)

Thanks for the suggestion; I heard he’s one bad dude. If we can find him, he’s in.

rgr769

Make sure he brings his rusty straight razor, for authenticity. We all know if one wants to cut someone long and deep, a rusty blade is the way to go. If they don’t bleed out, tetanus will get them.

Cptsmith

He was a bad dude. Sleepy Joe wouldn’t lie

Green Thumb

A lot of the NG dudes are working logistics or picking up trash. Also, freeing up LE to focus on more important issues.

But on the flip side, I imagine a few are enjoying it. Probably a free trip to DC for someone who may not have the coin or ability to see it. Single, yes. Married, maybe not so much.

Hack Stone

Liberals: The military is just being given make work of picking up trash.

Military Veterans: Yeah, like that has never been done to keep them occupied before. 🥴

Odie

Paint the rocks, when dry, turn over and repeat.

5JC

Police don’t pick up trash or do logistics so they aren’t freeing anyone up that way. What the guard is actually doing that the police would normally do:

Half are doing police work:
Patrol tourist heavy areas like the areas around DC monuments and other tourist heavy areas. Patrol Metro Stations. Traffic control. These are all armed and prepared to deal with threats. Presence patrols reduce crime quite a bit. But the DC police can’t do them because they are at half strength because black lives matter so they defunded the police. Solid work there. Idiots.

Half are doing Area Beautification such as picking up trash, raking leaves and laying mulch in the same tourist areas.

The French have had military patrols in Paris tourist areas for years since the terror attacks picked up. It is not unusual to round a corner and see an infantry squad kitted up and walking a patrol. Last year the governor of NY had the NG patrolling subway stations. Liberal media didn’t bat an eye.

Thoughts on the NRA’s position?

On he one hand, no guns for trans seems to be a common and rising theme. But the NRA, the granddaddy of them all, says no.

Toxic Deplorable Racist SAH Neande

You mean that same NRA whose initials stand for “Negotiating Rights Away”?

A Terminal Lance Coolie

I almost want to see DOJ try it just to find out if “No Rights Allowed” would actually fight it.

NRA feels a lot more like controlled opposition than an actual 2A group these days.

FuzeVT

If the counter is “if we do that, then when Dems get control of the government they will try to make things like being conservative count as a mental illness”, then I gotta ask what’s to stop them from doing that anyway?
The Dems run amok when they can wield power in a blatant attempt to garner more power every chance they get.
Republicans, when in power, sit back and hold off saying “well the dems will retaliate”.
Screw that – they are doing those things anyway. They are playing for keeps and it’s time to raise our game, too. We, at least, have sanity and 80% of the public on our side for most issues.

All that said, seems pretty sound thinking to take guns from people who have such little grasp on reality they think they are the opposite sex because they cross dress and slam chemicals that screw their body up – not to mention all of the prescribed “mental health” meds.

11B-Mailclerk

Weird does not equal dangerous.

Unless someone is demonstrably violent, when said violence is inappropriate, leave them be.

Otherwise someone will likely declare veterans “proveably dangerous” and call to disarm them. Because obviously crazy, poor things.

Graybeard

I have to agree that group-wide bans are a slippery slope that must be avoided. History warns us of that.

Concerning the NRA, after they finally got rid of Le Pee-eww and his minions they seem to be getting back to basics and more on track. I’m cautiously optimistic about them.

They’d be putting Vets, Christians, non-conformists et al on The List next time the (D)emon-rats had a chance.

Toxic Deplorable Racist SAH Neande

I look at this “trans” thing the same as I look at the drug question on a Form 4473.
It should be worded like this, “are you now under a doctor’s care with drugs and surgery to convert your gender from male to female, or female to male?”
That would raise a red flag to deny a gun purchase.
(some tweaking may be required to not totally deny gun rights, but still catch the potentially dangerous ones)

5JC

It should be more specific. Such as mind or mood altering drugs known to increase violent tendencies. Getting the dug makers on board would be impossible due to liability. But yes feeding someone testosterone when they aren’t simply deficient makes them more aggressive. Other mind altering drugs are just as bad though.

OAM

Nearly every Rx for PTSD, anxiety, depression, PMDD, Low-T, sleep issues, and a host of other mental and physical health issues carry warnings of potential alterations in mood and behavior, read, suicidal and/or homicidal ideation.

In other words, every PTSD diagnosis, pre- and post- menopausal woman, man with low-T due to age or illness, shift worker who needs help resetting their sleep cycle and post-natal woman who is getting hormone therapy, would be denied.

These drugs, even when necessary, needed, and taken with appropriate monitoring, can have unpredicatably negative side effects.

And this folks is just the first of many reasons I view psychopharmaceuticals with a very, very skeptical eye.

Forest Bondurant

Other than MALE and FEMALE, add gender options on the form to include “NON BINARY” “TRANSGENDER-MALE to FEMALE” and “TRANSGENDER -FEMALE to MALE”.

Putting liberals in the position to defend the 2d Amendment would be interesting.

SFC D

“they are reportedly floating a proposal to ban transgendered folks from buying guns.”

While I am 100% against this, I have to admit that it would be a hell of a lot of fun watching liberals defend the second amendment. I’m kinda thinking Trump is yanking their chain, trying to make them do it.

Hack Stone

Donald Trump trolling the Woke Left? That would never happen. 🥴😜😁

SFC D

Some people say he’s playing 3D chess. Personally, I just think he likes fucking with liberals.

It’s fun to watch

rgr769

As a practical matter it will not happen. The present state of the law is that only people who have been diagnosed as mentally ill and involuntarily confined to a mental institution are barred from purchasing firearms.

A Terminal Lance Coolie

Either Shambalzz doesn’t know what he’s asking for, or he does, and doesn’t care. Either way, it would be funny to watch them try. Might also remind the American people just how ugly war is, since it seems we need a reminder every other decade or so.

Or Shambalzz can just STFU and save us that misery. I’m definitely good with that.

Amateur Historian

As far as trannys not being able to get firearms, I’m on the fence. On the one hand, there is good sound logic in keeping firearms and other weapons away from insane people. On the other hand, given the incestuous relationship between medical professionals and the government, I’m very wary of giving doctors the power to decide who’s insane and who’s not.

rgr769

For the benefit of our readers, so they don’t have to, I have read the entirety of Congressman Comer’s committee’s release of Epstein documents, including Epstein’s 50th birthday volume of notes and photos. This birthday volume alone is over 270 pages of letters, notes and photos. It includes a handwritten note from Bill Clinton and the supposed note from Trump. I hope Trump can prove the signature of only “Donald” is bogus. The rest of the note is typed, and its content seems out of character for Trump. It was supposed written in 2003, long before Epstein’s misconduct was public knowledge.

Another lengthy document is a long list of all Epstein’s contacts, similar to what one would have in a Rollerdex. All sorts of the rich and famous are listed from around the world, including some Rothschilds, Ehud Barak, Bill Clinton, and yes, Donald Trump. However, it lists Ivana and Ivanka, so it is dated. If this is “Epstein’s list,” it includes hotels, caterers, restaurants, and numerous other businesses. I still think there is no “list” of people he compromised with his teenage sex nymphs.
