Father kills intruder in self-defense after masked gang breaks into Yorkshire home
A harrowing incident unfolded in Selby, North Yorkshire, when a father of two was assaulted in his home by a group of six masked intruders. The father, whose identity has not been disclosed, took drastic action to protect his family when the attackers, armed with weapons including a crowbar, violently confronted him.
The invasion occurred while the couple was at home with their young children. After being beaten with a crowbar and receiving multiple punches, the father managed to wrestle away a knife from one of the intruders during the struggle. In an act of self-defense, he fatally stabbed one of the assailants.
The remaining five intruders quickly fled the scene in a getaway vehicle. In the aftermath, the homeowner called emergency services, desperately attempting to save the life of the critically injured intruder. However, despite the swift response from North Yorkshire Police and Yorkshire Ambulance Service, the gang member was declared dead at the scene.
According to law enforcement, the attackers were clad in dark clothing and balaclavas, underscoring the premeditated nature of the attack. A significant manhunt was soon launched to locate the five intruders, and within 48 hours, all were apprehended. The homeowner was not charged in connection with the incident, as his actions were deemed a legitimate act of self-defense.

Given how lax the Brit punishments are for convicts, I expect the remaining gang bangers to be out in 2 years. All ready to continue their life’s work of crime.

Let yourself get walloped with a crowbar repeatedly.
Let yourself get punched a a bit as well.
Take one of the perps’ own (illegal in Brittan) knives from him.
“Accidentally” stab the perp.
After his buddies leave, call the “emergency services” while (supposedly) “desperately attempting to save the life of” your attacker.
Pray that the rapist-loving po-po don’t charge you.

I was recently reviewing “open” and “concealed” carry laws
for my state. Seems a crowbar comes under the same rules
concerning deployable “batons” etc.
You can open carry a crowbar, even in a holster, as a
defensive weapon, without a permit.

Probably had a lot of rivals and they cut and sliced it.
At one point, the government wanted to require the points of all knives be ground off. But obviously, someone can be stabbed very effectively with a screwdriver and a dozen other tools.
The most common buy-back guns are junk, many of which can’t fire or can’t fire reliably. I have a .25 Raven with a broken firing pin. I would love to have some useless program give me about $200 for it.
