Houston police investigating alleged road rage gunfight in the middle of I-10 East Freeway
By Charly Edsitty
HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A 21-year-old man is not expected to survive after being shot while driving on the I-10 East Freeway.Investigators are calling it an act of road rage and are now questioning the other driver, who returned to the scene.
According to Houston police, both drivers involved fired shots, but the 21-year-old man, who was driving a pickup truck, was the only person struck.
The pickup truck driver — who had a woman in the passenger seat — ended up crashing in the eastbound lanes of the freeway near the Uvalde Road exit around 11 p.m. Thursday.
HPD said the passengers inside both vehicles called 911 after the exchange of gunfire.
A witness inside a dark-colored sedan involved in the shooting told HPD that her 26-year-old son was driving and her husband was in the passenger seat.
She said they were headed outbound on I-10 when a pickup truck with a man and woman inside came up behind them and started tailgating them.
Eventually, the pickup truck went around the sedan, and that’s when witnesses say the pickup truck driver rolled down the window and fired shots at the sedan.
The driver of the sedan returned fire, striking the 21-year-old truck driver and sparking the crash.

Need More Guns?
Well, maybe. That would be nice.
But first I need more $$$ to support Ms Thang and to buy more ammunition.
Gotta set priorities, ya know.
There’s never enough $$$ to support any Ms Thang…even in the midnight hour, she is always saying More More More (IYKYK) I gots a gun she can have more of…I’ll see myself out.
Strong, indeed, is teh stoopid today. And I see some gainful employment for the Whiz Wheel. We also have some classic examples of why I don’t mind doing escort duties for my Lady Friends and all of my Prime Movers can get me out of trouble quicker than trouble arrives.
Lubs me some 870 style trench gunz. Puts a smile on the Gun Bunny’s face. Who knew they were good for hunting too?
That deceased truck driver must’a been new ta Texas from out’ta state. He forgot one of the first rules of Texas; EVERYONE is armed.
I would not be surprised to find out that drugs and/or alcohol was involved in that truck driver’s poor decisions that led to his demise.
True that. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
May the pickup driver become an organ donor before he flatlines.
I’d trade an 870 for the honey-lamb. Looks like a size four and well balanced!
We carried 870’s on our trucks and once their was an AD in the cab which shot the double O buck through the inner ceiling and for awhile, every time the truck made a turn, you could hear the shot rolling around above your head. Had another AD in the garage when one of the employees was taking the rounds out in the loading/unloading barrel and thought the rounds were out so while the muzzle was in a vertical position, he pulled the trigger and you had double “O’ in the above A/C ductwork. Gun Custodian circles all the holes with a grease pencil.
Never had an AD, yet. I remain ever vigilant but the operative word is accidental so keep it pointed down and to the ground or whatever the environment provides in the way of caution.
Lovin’ the new bellyband from Dinosaurized for the Ruger EC-9S. Haven’t tried it with a .45 yet.
Forgot to mention the Martin Dept. store on Flatbush ave, Brooklyn NYC that we serviced. NYPD notifies Brink’s on a tip that the crew was to be held up at the store so another crew came in as a back up and when they were waiting for the elevator, the guy with the 870 lets a round go into the ceiling in front of the elevator and customers were diving to the floor…
