Well, it seems the shooter has been identified,  through DNA they say. I heard he was carrying no ID – does anyone else wonder, in a world of computerized fingerprints, did the Secret Service really destroy his melon and hands that thoroughly? And how was his DNA even IN the system to be found?

Most reports are saying his father legally bought the gun in 2013. Given that most dads, when asked if “hey, can I take the family AR out to shoot Trump?” would refuse, seems to imply he stole his daddy’s rifle. Sure puts the lie to waiting periods and background checks, unless some over-pumped BATFE apparatchik decides he wants to charge the father as a straw buyer. Much is being made of the rifle being a dreaded AR-15….wonder if someone will note that a cheap AR is almost the cheapest centerfire rifle you can buy. I routinely get ads to buy at less than $400 a pop.

I think all can agree this is a textbook case of poor shooting. Now, I am guessing – many fine ARs can shoot well under minute of arc (moa – for you non-gun types, that is roughly an inch at a hundred yards) but as with all guns, the person pulling the trigger is a major part of the equation, and this clown sprayed out multiple rounds (7? 8?) in what is reported as less than two seconds. Not conducive to accuracy.  Even a very average AR should easily hold 3 moa at 100 yards.

Then we get to more evidence,  poor target selection. A head on a speaking person is a surprisingly hard target to hit at almost any range – people duck, bob, turn – there is a reason why you’re told ‘center-of-mass’. Unless this guy thought he was outsmarting a bulletproof vest by shooting for the head, he chose poorly.

Actually tagging Trump, even in the ear…well, it’s a random spot but does reinforce that this was probably NOT a professional false flag operation. Trump didn’t pause before he was shot – I doubt any professional, even one capable of 1/4 moa groups (yes, there are many folks who routinely do that, even at ranges of a mile or so away) but I strongly doubt someone like that would agree to hire on to make an ear shot at 134 yards (I read 400 feet) on a moving head with any degree of certainty. Good puff of cross-wind, any variation in breathing or pull, and we would be referring to Mr. Trump in the past tense. Not many would try to guarantee THAT shot.

Bystanders supposedly say they warned police that the shooter was up on the roof and the cops/protective folks seemed confused about what to do about it. Sounds like very, very, very poor security pre-coordination. Every security person working that event should have known exactly where every good-guy shooter was supposed to be so they could know if someone else was a bad-guy shooter.

Minor point – they claim he is a registered Republican – at 20? Highly unusual. May turn out like the donation to the Dems which supposedly has been substantiated as having been made by a different man with the same name.

The real question may be what USSS  is going to have to say about supposedly clearing that rooftop, as they claim, and the guy getting up to within essentially point blank range. Some have commented that their current leader has said DEI is most important – IF that is true, a few years chasing rubber dogshit counterfeits at Point Barrow may be in order.

I may be in the minority here – just like my belief on Dallas ’63, this seems to me to be one lone not very good shooter. And a MASSIVE  Secret Service fail.

Will wait for further info

Graybeard

I concur.
A whole lot of speculation & uncorroborated info in the immediate aftermath.

5JC

I have questions. Any answers I have are pure speculation and guesses.

Suffice it to say, we all knew this was coming, so when it came nobody was really surprised. Members of the media were literally calling for his death and literally painting him as a Nazi, correction, Hitler. They threw burning flares everywhere and then they acted surprised when there was a fire.

Odie

I agree, but will it be like the Kennedy assassination where the results of said investigation were locked away, not to be seen until the last person alive who may have had something to do with it has passed?

And considering how much the elite ruling class hates Trump and Americans, will anything they find be truthful.

pookysgirl, WC wife

The problem with a coverup at this point is that there were thousands of people present with smart phones as well as professional media (including a Pulitzer-winning photographer, apparently). This isn’t Dallas in 1963. I had never seen the photo of Jackie Kennedy crawling over the back of the convertible before yesterday, but what struck me was how few people were there to watch the President pass by.

5JC

I’m thinking we’ll have a new president in January who will have a vested interest.

Odie

The more crap they start with him, the stronger he becomes. Biden was on TV tonight, between his awake hours of 4 to 6 pm telling people hate has no place in politics. We probably won’t see him again until late next week.

Forest Bondurant

Yep. I, like most here, have theories of my own.

I’ll keep my finger off my keyboard and phone until something more definitive is presented.

The MSM can speculate and report on all they want like they did after Trayvon, Brown, Floyd, Smollett, and so on.

Waiting for details, but I don’t have much faith in the FBI to do a comprehensive investigation. That institution has been corrupted to its core.

HT3

On a scale of 1 to 10, what is your confidence level in a thorough investigation by the FBI/DOJ/USSS?
The moment anybody from the DC field office is involved you know a cover-up is coming.

5JC

Confidence in FIBBERS? (-) something. Hopefully a good Congressional hearing will answer some questions.

Odie

Good Congressional hearing. I snickered at that one.

KoB

Snickered? I spewed the House Wine (Sweet Iced Tea) thru my nose onto the screen.

Slow Joe

Am I the only one disappointed that KoB drinks tea?
I expect him to drink some hard Grog that would kill any millennial within a mile radius.

KoB

I have some very potent Class 6 Supplies, Slow Joe, and do imbibe on them. Howsome ever, when it’s sho’ nuff hot outside and I’m having my supper there’s nothing like a frosty glass of Southern Sweet Iced Tea. And my breakfast coffee is strong enough to make any crusty old NCO whimper.

Forest Bondurant

A Congressional hearing?

Have fun with that.

Forest Bondurant

I recognize you didn’t ask me, but my guess is 3, 4 at best. The corruption of either agency cannot be ignored, and there’s the prevailing speculation, ineptness, and blatant corruption. Add the subterfuge, and there you have it.

Trust the DOJ and USSS? Gimme a fucking break.

There has yet to be any accountability for Comey, Wray, Strok or Paige.

This discussion string is happening because of them.

5JC

Let us not forget The current attorney general Garland, who literally gave Congress the finger for the subpoena. If this election is one sided as I suspect it’s going to end up being, some of these people might literally flee the country after all.

1000004803
Odie

They might flee the country? They better make it to a country with no extradition laws and a country they haven’t shit on in the past. I bet their options in those respects are limited at best.

5JC

Y’all laughed at my idea about a congressional hearing but it’s working out.

Today we found out that the shooter was identified as a threat, but the event went on anyway. He was identified as a threat because he had a rangefinder and a backpack and was acting nutty. The only other reason I could think of for having a rangefinder is if you wanted to give it to Trump as a gift so he can use it for his golf game. But firstly I would be thinking that he wanted to shoot Trump in the head from from a distance with a rifle that he had in the backpack. But I have trust issues.

Now that I know all of this is it wrong for me not to want the head of the secret service to resign? I’m just saying she’s probably doing that great of a job everywhere.

Fyrfighter

If biden and his regime actually cared about the nation, they would have already fired her ( as well as a great many others for their epic failures), but as usual, it’s party / agenda above all, so they’ll never fire her, and in that environment, why would she resign.. she’s just another DEI hire ( Coca-Cola security is definitely good training to be head of the Secret Service).. and as such, there’s no way she has the honor or integrity to do the right thing and resign..

SFC D

1 star. Would not recommend.

NHSparky

You’re gonna be waiting a while if the past 60 years is any indication.

Skippy

Talk about luck

IMG_5851
5JC

You know even if he had lost that small part of his brain he would still be More together than Biden.

Forest Bondurant

Not funny if you think about it. Passage through those areas could have affected a degree of voluntary motor functioning and comprehension. Comparing the loss of those abilities because of a bullet strike in comparison to Biden’s cognitive decline are worlds apart.

5JC

I never gave up my gallows humor when I left the military.

11B-Mailclerk

Sometimes no one gets what is hanged out for laughs….

11B-Mailclerk

If that cop hadn’t discovered the shooter, likely making dupshit his first shot and spazz the rest, he might have put #1 through the x ring, in which case Trump’s head move would have just changed which part of his brain went ‘splat’.

On the above diagram, that second red line is a killshot in either orientation if centered. Actually better in the second/turned one.

Wow.

Trump owes his life to that distracting cop. -I- am thankful.

11B-Mailclerk

Ok. Spell check hates me.

“… making dipshit rush his first shot…”

Hate_me

Possibly. Then again, had the shooter not been rushed, the counter-sniper might have had time to take a proper bead before any innocent lives were lost at all.

Had that cop properly done his job and actually engaged the shooter, no unnecessary rounds may have been fired, period.

We won’t know until (and if, and if it can be believed) the FBI investigation is made public.

Fyrfighter

Most recent that I saw said someone boosted the cop up, so he was hanging from the edge of the roof, and not able to reach his weapon… that would be more reasonable..

Skippy

The Secret Service screwed up big time
DEI is definitely strong here

IMG_5850
RCAF-CHAIRBORNE

If that were Biden, he would have just stood there looking skywards for the ‘fireworks ‘

Forest Bondurant

My God.

As more information comes in, and based on my own experience having served on a few protective details, it shudders my imagination.

Odie

Notice in the video of Trump being hustled out of there, the women SS agents were on guarding the open car door, not protecting the president. Yeah, they could have gotten shot, but they weren’t first in line to sacrifice themselves.

rgr769

Given their height, what difference does it make with Trump over a foot taller?

Army-Air Force Guy

Wouldn’t have been so hard to have a cop stationed up on the roof of that building, from the air it looks pretty obvious. The local PD or Sheriff’s dept. could’ve had a couple of reserve or volunteer officers for that task.

Skippy

Another view

IMG_5849
Odie

It’s almost like the shooter had help in planning this. Most 20 yo’s don’t have the mental capacity to plan and execute to this level.

Skippy

My head is still spinning

11B-Mailclerk

Nah. Novice loon gets the prize more often than pro team effort.

Because they are utterly unpredictable. And their tells are all fucked up.

rgr769

Next, The SS will be recruiting midget to guard Trump. Of course his team is already run by mental midgets.

MIRanger

Amazing that the USSS could not afford a Drone with very limited AI/ML that spots a rifle. This kid was seriously out in the open for several minutes. He had to have strolled over the building as well.
This is not the USSS of the Reagan era where they cleared out and secured the first mile. You had to be a real decent shot to be able to take that shot. Not sure if this kid had some kind of binary trigger but no aiming involved with how fast the shots arrived. From the short clip I heard/saw, they didn’t sound like the bullets wizzing passed me down range.

11B-Mailclerk

Look up on line “IPSC” and “IDPA” and Three Gun”. Find videos of recent champions.

Oh heck yes one can aim fast at short distance. Oh heck yes. Cycling on sear reset is a thing. Have personally witnessed -insane- fast rifle shooting.

Cowboy shooters can run -lever guns- so fast it is hard to count shots.

rgr769

According to the latest timeline, the SS on site commander allowed Trump to take the stage after radio notification they had a man on the roof with a rifle. What does that tell us?

5JC

It was a well synchronized operation.

Bubblehead Ray

They never thought he would miss.

5JC

Yeah, I’m starting to wonder if the sheriff might have been right. If the officer that climbed up on the roof threw off the shooter so that he failed to get an effective hit.

The head of the secret service has said so many stupid things in the last 4 days that it’s clear there’s a leadership failure there. We just know that her job is safe because there’s no accountability for anything there.

Skippy

It’s not just the wackos and crackpots that think it was staged. Here is a Democratic megadoner and billionaire,

Tries to equate it to Putin’s mass murders? I’m always shaking my head when I what is wrong with people, it’s always the same, a lot.

Given that the socialist democrats doubtless engineered this, I have no doubt that they would be first in line to scream it was a set up.

Never forget, whatever they accuse of us, they themselves are guilty of..

RCAF-CHAIRBORNE

From the audio, it sounded like a .22 rimfire much closer to Trump.
I’m glad they slotted the Lefty pondscum.

Thankfully, he wasn’t a Marine with a Carcano.

Amateur Historian

I hope some important heads at the USSS roll for this (looking at you, Kimmy Cheatle!!!).

Forest Bondurant

If there ever is a Congressional probe or actual investigation, all will be slow rolled. Nothing will come of any of it.

Hack Stone

Congress is too busy with other priorities, like impeaching the Supreme Court.

Odie

DEI and all that. Let’s start with diversity and get someone in that position who isn’t hiring unqualified people so she can project her bonafides.

Equity. She can be dismissed equally as quick for being an idiot. Oh wait, government job, civil service, tenure bla blah blah. Never mind.

Inclusion. She can be included in the list of former government employees. The line forms right over there. Oh wait… see equity.

Trump had it right when he suggested getting rid of the dead weight employees. The uproar over that was unreal.

ANCRN

Like the heads that rolled over Fast and Furious?

MIRanger

Yeah that was a pretty crappy franchise, can’t believe they were able to make ten or more!

Or do you mean that stupid gun running scheme the DOJ did, to track guns but forgot to actually track them!?

Fyrfighter

“Forgot”??? I think you mean “intentionally failed to, in order to advance and agenda of gun banning”

I also repeat…ad nauseam…If you haven’t already done so then you must…Prepare…it’s just going to get worse.

5JC

I will say this, because this is something that I am very sure of. I very, very seldom donate money to politicians. It’s probably been at least 15 years since I have sent money to a national candidate. Mostly it’s because most of them lack character. Today I sent some money to Trump’s campaign.

Say whatever you want about Trump, he didn’t need to run for president again. His place in history is already assured. But he took it on with everything hard that came with it. But Saturday he went far beyond. He took getting half a dozen rounds launched his way and even getting winged like a boss. I’ve seen grown men lay on the ground like limp rags not able to act under similar circumstances.

Grace under Fire, Grace under pressure, these are things that you either have or you don’t. He wasn’t bowed, He didn’t panic, He stayed in charge, He wasn’t afraid and He was angry. He rallied the crowd, he stayed true to himself and the people there. And that Ladies and gentlemen, is what being a warrior and a leader is all about, fearlessly facing your own mortality. If you want somebody that’s going to fight for you and never ever give up, there you have it.

Forest Bondurant

One never really never knows how he will perform until the bullets start flying or one encounters imminent death. Mr. Trump showed us who he really is. A true leader of the people.

CavScoutCoastie

I was impressed when the US offered Zelenskyy the chance to leave Ukraine and he something to the effect of “I don’t need a ride; I need ammunition.”. I couldn’t imagine an American politician doing that. Trump showed his mettle yesterday under fire. I’m was going to vote for him anyway but his courage really cemented my decision.

Can you imagine Obama in the same situation? He’d be squealing like a bitch. Biden wouldn’t know what was happening.

Forest Bondurant

IMHO, Zelensky and Ukraine are on borrowed time. Funding a defensive war never goes or ends well.

Those who don’t study history forget that. (

(That’s not a dig on you. Just an observation.)

CavScoutCoastie

I’m about as pro Ukraine as it gets due to family history. I applied to and was accepted by the International Legion but my job won’t give me leave of absence to go. Still fighting with HR. If US contractors are allowed to go I’ll try to get on with them and quit my job. Ukraine has tried to take the offensive but are limited by ammunition and rules placed on the weapons systems they’ve received. Agree with your overall assessment. We need to drive the orcs out.

11B-Mailclerk

When Z said that, I figured Russia was -fucked-. Brave, stupid, or crazy, a stubborn foe runs the body count -way- up.

That reminded me of HBM King George VI refusing to leave the UK during the Battle of Britain. Many of his advisers suggested that he seek asylum in Canada. He refused and stood fast; this inspired the UK to do the same.

A good man, life cut short. I feel for his family missing all that time with the kids and the grandkids. But he appears to have had his affairs in order with the man upstairs, which is always the most important part. Who here among us would not lay down their life for their loved ones? It is a tragedy, But it’s also a lesson in how to live a good life and knowing what is truly most important.

MustangCryppie

Looking at an aerial view of the venue, it is beyond unbelievable that Secret Service was not stationed on that roof. Just incomprehensible. Someone is in for an epic ass beating and firing.

And if it’s true that a cop climbed a ladder to see if there was anyone on the roof and he came face to face with the shooter pointing his AR at him…well, he will think of that moment every time he wakes up for the rest of his life.

11B-Mailclerk

See above diagram. I am -certain- he saved Trump.

Hate_me

Can’t blame him for ducking. Curious why he ducked for so long.

Bubblehead Ray

My impression is he was “boosted” up by another officer and when he flinched, he fell all the way down to the ground. Thus, unable to “pop” right back up.

Hack Stone

Hack Stone’s advice? Invest all that you have in tin foil futures. Follow Hack for more investment tips.

Hack, you just gave yourself away as a government deep state asset. Those who know, know that tin foil magnifies IEEE 802.11 waves, not block them. Tin foil will give the lizard people complete control of your brain. I bet you don’t even sell Red Hat software.

Of course Hack Stone doesn’t sell Red Hat Software. The product is so good that it sells itself.

What? Oh sorry. Being told to go sharpen the knives.

Deckie

The amount of footage being passed around with new things spotted/pointed out is making my head spin. Latest is the woman behind Trump who appears to be looking at the shooter and signaling him — but for all we know she’s just noticing what other people were pointing out? It’s madness. Time to sit and wait for the dust to settle.

5JC

Yeah I’m not signaling anybody if I’m that close to the Target. Especially the guy that couldn’t hit the other end of the rifle range in high school. But who knows, maybe she was that invested?

Hack Stone

Maybe she was the person who was supposed to wave Maggie’s Drawers if he missed?

11B-Mailclerk

Possibility:

Kid so humiliated at being cut he spent years learning self-discipline and how to shoot straight. “I’ll show them!”.

Just An Old Dog

From all the information I’ve seen so far it was simply a quiet kid who was bullied at school who had no ties to anyone who went off his rocker. He worked in a Nursing home ( looks like he just served food) no criminal record, no history of mental illness, good student.
As for his shooting he tried out for the school shooting team but was quickly cut as he was an extremely bad shot. He did belong to a local shooting club.
One of the interviews of a kid who attended school with him said he was bullied everyday because he always wore some type of military or hunting clothing.
As for his protection… one of my former Marines has been working with the State Department Security over 20 years.
He said that the security details or ex presidents and presidential candidates are nowhere near as detailed as the ones for the sitting POTUS, however they can change that according to threat.
Be that as it may whoever did the security plan for that goat rope needs to be shit canned.

Hack Stone

Not the fault of the Agent in Charge, they were still waiting for the Red Hat Software update to complete the security briefing.

11B-Mailclerk

Shame can be a powerful motivator.

Slow Joe

It think President Trump should hire a private personal protection detail.
I have lost all trust in the USSS.

They made Trump stand up, showing his head a for follow up shot or as a target of opportunity for a second shooter.

I hope the USSS realizes we are living in the drone era. I shudder to think of what a strike drone wave could have done.

https://mrctv.org/blog/brittany-m-hughes/colorado-congressman-says-concern-trump-sympathy-devil

Fyrfighter

Yeah, I saw that Odie.. sadly, his brand of stupid has become common here in Calirado, what with the massive influx of idiots from the left coast, and our side-saddle governor. Been working on an exit plan, and recent events have thrown those plans into high gear..

5JC

What?! I’m throwing the b******* flag.

Democrats always preface their statements for calls for violence violence by saying that they don’t condone violence. That way it makes it legit and they have deniable accountability.

11B-Mailclerk

Wouldn’t surprise me if the DonkDroogs start talking about “getting a bit o the old ultra-violence”.

Well, I mean the suits, not the blac bloc dorks.

Fyrfighter

Nope he posted it.. This state has gone full Cali retard…

Old tanker

I watched more than a few video’s about it. Some folks claimed there was a significant delay from the time the shooter was spotted by rally folks and the shooting started. I counted 6 seconds from the first shout of “he’s got a gun” and the first shot. Not much time to do anything.

The SS reacted in 3 seconds from shot 1 to covering Trump on the ground. They stayed huddled until they got the message that the shooter was down.

My only real disappointment over the security is simple. Why wasn’t there a spotter / sniper team on the freaking water tower. That position had a commanding view of ALL of the roofs on every building in the area within reasonable sniping range. They would have been able to spot the shooter the instant he crawled up on the roof, much less after he low crawled to the place where he took the shot.

5JC

That was definitely my question.

The only other question I have right now is did they fire in the police officer who failed to stop the shooter, when he discovered him on the roof? Because that guy needs to be fired for cowardice

If he had fired a couple of shots at the shooter before the shooting took place, four people probably would not have been shot. Even if he had missed, it would have queued up the secret service sniper who could have dropped him easily.

Hack Stone

He just transferred from the Uvalde Texas Police Department.

Fjardeson

From what I read, the officer wasn’t carrying his weapon (which is double-stupid). Don’t know which one is worse.

5JC

On the one hand, I kind of hope that’s true at least then he’s got an excuse. But on the other hand, what the fuck was he doing there without a gun?

Hate_me

Several real disappointments about that security plan. Watchtower should have had someone on it, sure. How it was possible for anyone to get that close, period – save for a trained sniper who’d been shitting in a diaper for 36 hours – seems a more pressing question.

5JC

The shooter was seen in front of the venue by the metal detectors. He was upset that they wanted him to go through, and apparently was acting weird enough that people told the police about it.

The police tried to make contact with him But either he had already left, or ran off when they arrived to talk to him. He was next spotted climbing up on the roof by several people. By the time the police got there he was already on top of the roof.

Fyrfighter

Video I saw had at least two full minutes between bystanders first alerting LEO and the shots fired..

Twist

On Fox News there is video of the shooter climbing onto the roof and people hollering at law enforcement pointing out the guy.

Major Tuddy

President Trump doesn’t do business with people who jump to hasty conclusions. He would want us to wait till the investigation is complete, as that’s what alpha leaders do.

So, let’s wait and see. Maybe it was an ordered ‘hit’; maybe it was a lone nut like John Hinckley. Only time will tell.
