Two men break into home, steal items and attack the victim, one suspect gets shot: Police

CHICAGO (WTVO) — A man was shot after breaking into a home and attacking the owner on Chicago’s South Side Tuesday afternoon, according to Chicago Police.Two suspects entered a home by force around 1:54 p.m. in the 8000 block of South Carpenter Street that was inhabited by one man and two women, police told FOX32.
Both of the men attacked the man inside the house before stealing items from the house, according to authorities.
They left on foot and soon after the incident one of them was shot in the body. The injured suspect was later taken to an area hospital in critical condition, officials said.
The other suspect, a 31-year-old male, was taken into custody.

BUT……Yeah, I’ve been noticing the ‘Ed has lately been running themes for a week or so at a time, some good, some not-so-good. This week, it’s bullpups. And so far, I’ve read the featured links and stories, but I’m not tempted to buy one….yet. They just look soooooo……awkward and ungainly. The concept is good, to shorten the overall length of the rifle by putting the trigger assembly to the front of the receiver. And putting the receiver and barrel into the stock. But the “execution” (hehehe, yes, I went there) of the concept is just….too contorted.
Someday, somewhere, someone will get the design right, and it will seem as natural as the current crop of AR15 clones (God bless Eugene Stoner). But for now….not-so-much. Especially the FN abomination pictured above. FN has come out with some nice guns, and nice designs (can you say….P35…boys and girls? I knew you could). But even the best comes up with a clunker once in awhile. Nice for scifi, not-so-nice for real life (unless you want to sabotage and booby trap the enemy – let THEM play with it)
