Iffn so, that is in fact retarded. ‘Slave cable’ is a perfectly good way to describe the function of this item.
It most certainly is more than a ‘jumper cable’.
I have wondered whether Master and Slave drives have similarly been renamed since I retired.
My body also tells me that I need bacon, BBQ, and beer.
We painted many a cable reel, or the cable itself, with that same notice. It didn’t always keep the bastards from cutting the cable and stealing it. Had several occasions they’d peel the fiber off and steal the big metal reels.
They’ll get an idea when we start playing Patriots and Despots.
