Wassup!? Double dipping? The first two were Tuesday’s FGSs. I thought the “Dees” thing sounded familiar.
Ah well, must be a slow FGS day. And recycling isn’t bad (according to the Greeniacs).
It happens sometimes. Kinda like smoke and mirror linkys to the gun pr0n. See Wednesday FGS comment for possible answer. Somedays I’ll send in several (as do others) and somedays, the struggle is really real to find anything at all. With close to 1.5 million self defense incidents every year, one would think that we would be over run with articles, but, alas, the main sleaze media seems to be suppressing them somewhat. KHOU has been a go to for years and that well is dry of late. I’ve got a coupla other websites that try to track the stories, but if they’re not reported to another source, they can’t be found there. Noticing a trend that only the smaller, independent news outlets are reporting self defense articles.
Wonder how an Old Fashion Holy Roller Gospel Revival would be accepted in the Islamic Repugnant? Would there be a laying on of hands? Speaking in tongues? Hell fire and brimstone Preaching? A pig picking dinner on the grounds? Baptizing in the Tigris River?
Speaking of Hatchets…wonder how our First Nation Canadian Native is doing? There may and/or may not be an assortment of “flat edged objects” in my various kits. I admit nothing; call my lawer. All Hail Estwing…ALL HAIL!
I think that falls under Proselytizing and is strictly “verboten”
If I have to resort to my tomahawk (which now has a bois d’arc handle) the gooks are inside the wire and my brass has all been expended.
Nonetheless, I maintain a knowledge of tomahawk skills.
are axes, hatchets and tomahawks just different names for basically the same kind of cutting tool?????
Boy Scouts taught me that an axe has a long handle, one or two blades/bits. Hatchet/ hand axe has a short handle and a flat or head for hammering on one side. Tomahawk was Indian version of a hand axe without hammer head. Who knows how accurate that is.
Pretty much this…the tomahawk tends to have a slimmer profile head than a hatchet, though. I have a few of each type, some given to me by or purchased at a sharp discount from the “Knife Guy” on Sand Hill, and some purchased off-post. I had this: UnitedCutlery.Com: M48 Kommando Survival Axe Tactical Hiking Staff – UC2905. I gave it to a nephew a few years back, but I think I paid $20 for it, and I’d use it as a “walking stick” around new Trainees who just didn’t want to be around the “Quiet and Old Drill Sergeant” for some odd reason. I got one of these for free: Woods Chogan™ T-Hawk – Columbia River Knife and Tool (crkt.com).
My Estwing and Fiskars axes have been outside by the sacrificial tree for months. I should probably go check on them to see if they’ve rusted through. Never claimed to take good care of my stuff” use it, abuse it, and exhaust it before I’m exhausted.
There’s one of these;

in my Apocalypse Bug Out Bags…brand new, never used, you know…for reasons…an assortment of throwing type hatchets too.
OK, you win on visual training aids.
I just looked at the guy with M-1 garand and my right thumb swelled up and turned red. M-1 thumb memories of the past
