Altercation in Grady Co. leaves one dead, one injured

An altercation in Grady County has left one man dead and another injured.Grady County Sheriff, Gary Boggess, told 7News at about 4:25 p.m., his office received a call that shots were fired at a home near County Road 1570.
He said Dee Cook from Carnegie allegedly stabbed Douglas Dees in the leg.

Man shoots alleged car burglar after calling police in San Bernardino County

A man who called the police to report a man breaking into a car took matters into his own hands Friday morning, allegedly shooting the culprit in the act.According to early reports from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, deputies from the Fontana Station responded to the 18600 block of Valley Boulevard in unincorporated Bloomington around 8:15 a.m. on a report of a vehicle burglary in progress.
The caller, identified as 36-year-old Alexander Marquez of Rancho Cucamonga, made the initial call to authorities saying that a man was breaking into a vehicle.
Marquez then allegedly shot the suspect, identified as Dennis Smith, 24, of Hemet, before deputies arrived on scene.

Looks like the Tweedle Dees have resolved their “knife to a gun fight” argument.

You can defend life and property yourself way quicker than the popo can get there. Local case of 4 escaped prisoners this weekend from the next county’s lockup. One was a murderer. When he did his nefarious deed (to Ms Thang that had a restraining order against him) it took 27 minutes from the time she had called 911 til the popo got there. Estimates are she was dead for 20 minutes when they did get there.

If it were me, I’d be pumping a heavy, non dispersing, toxic gas (nerve? skin?) into the tunnels, so that the next time the IDF (in full MOPP4) goes into them, all they’ll find is rotting muzzie corpses.

and moved the entire operation to Tennessee.
According to the articles I read earlier in the NRA mag and others, S&W moved the HQ and all semi auto manufacturing. The revolver portion is still in the blue hell hole due to all the “experienced” employees required and unable / unwilling to relocate.

Tennessee is a good place to be, even better where they have set up. You get all four seasons and none of them overstay there appropriate times. Hunting is good, fishing is good, lots of lakes, rivers and decent state parks.
I moved out of Rockport, MA one year ago this month and have somewhat established a base in the Coastal Bend area. Not much for riding motorcycles around here but Eastern Tennessee and Kentucky are everything many riders could ever hope for.
The 686 is a beautiful revolver but, for whatever reason, I still prefer the 586.
Off topic, but revolver relevant: The New Mexico prosecutors are going to seek an indictment of Alec Baldwin because repeated testing of the subject single action revolver has shown that the trigger had to have been pulled or held back when the hammer was pulled back to the full cock position, for the pistol to have fired. Told ya so.
I love my Smith and Wesson 686 plus 7 shot revolver with a crimson trace laser grip.
Soft shooting and very accurate.
I’ve been polishing it for a few minutes with mothers mag polish every night as I watch t.v before going to bed.
It’s developing a nice shiny reflective finish.
I wonder if I can get a mirror finish with hand polishing?
