Yep, big bad Israel is oppressing Gaza and Hamas. You didn’t know that? This is all Israel’s fault. Reminds me of a five-year-old or a wife abuser saying “you made me do that!” Just like always, those few million Jews keep oppressing those twenty-some million Arabs.
The narrative is that nasty old Israel is in the wrong because they have embargoed basic necessities like arms shipments into Gaza. How dare the Jews have the temerity to defend themselves like that, just because Hamas keeps rocketing Israeli territory. Here’s one in Massachusetts heard from:

Seems to me I remember reading that the various Arab countries encouraged the Palestinians to leave, telling them as soon as the Jews were wiped out in the ’48 partition they could come back and take whatever they wanted. Well, that didn’t work, and at this point the in-te-lek-chools don’t think it’s germane anyway…( I guess the goddamned Germans got nothing to do with it, huh?) The same clown was photographed standing on an American flag, and was telling the world how immoral we were to have nuked Japan, too. For once, you wish someone would have set a flag on fire, as long as he wasn’t allowed off.
Then we get to the US’ hallowed educational institutions. Hah-vud, Charles Emerson Winchester’s alma mater, has come out strongly supporting the Palestinians. TWENTY-SEVEN various campus croups groups blame Israel exclusively for the attacks:

Remember the school bully who would start a fight until he/she (have to be correct now) ran into someone who stood their ground, bloodied the aggressor’s nose, and essentially kicked their ass? I knew that you would.

Rep. Cori Bush (D-Missouri) criticized US foreign policy in her statement over the attacks, insisting in order to achieve peace in the region, the US needs to end its “support for Israeli military occupation and apartheid.”
Bush, along with Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.), also called for the fighting to stop. And Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) said “We need a way to end this deadly violence that is killing and traumatizing generations of Israelis and Palestinians alike—including the blockade of Gaza.” MSN
Back to the school bully… about the time he/she got their nose bloodied and maybe a solid knee in the privates , the first thing I ever saw was begging for someone in authority to step in and stop it, right? Notably, quite a few conservatives are calling the twatwaffles Neville Chamberlain wannabes out for being – well, twatwaffles.
Me, all I can hope for is that the government, for once, do a REAL fact-finding expedition. Might I suggest an in-person twatwaffle delegation going to Gaza to see for themselves? Oh, and revoke their U.S. passports while they are there.

The same douche bags that condemn Israel also hate America and are actively destroying it. Jews have lived in the holy land since for tens of thousands of years, they have been persecuted by almost every group that gained control of the area I’m not even getting into the pograms and holocaust in Europe. Since the beginning of Muslim rule and through the end of the Ottoman Empire Jews were killed and discriminated against, there property was confiscated and had to pay the jinza religious tax just to live. Many emigrated to Europe and later to the Americas but they have had a continuous presence there for centuries. The founding of Israel wasn’t stealing land from the Muslims it was reclaiming what was rightfully theirs to begin with. The Jews have tried to peacefully coexist with the Arabs and many Arabs are much better off than they would be otherwise. I feel horrible for what is happening to the innocent Gaza residents, many don’t support Hamas, but they also didn’t do anything to stop the rhetoric and violence which now has hit critical mass with the murder of innocent Israeli citizens which may reach over 1k. The Israeli people have a right to destroy Hamas and their supporters and a right to defend themselves.
We did port calls in Haifa Israel both before and after Gulf War 1. Talking to some Israelis, we learned that they cannot stand most American Jews, particularly the liberal ones. Those folks don’t take no crap from anyone.
Most of my Jewish friends are not very fond of liberals, I hope this is a wake up call that the very people that spout anti Israeli rhetoric would probably be butchered under hamas version of an Islamic state. The anti Israel faction of liberal Americans is the same as the anti American faction, except for the plain old Jew hater’s out there. Jews have built a great country out of a waste land and have had to constantly defend themselves from all sides we must unequivocally support Israel they have been an unwavering ally of ours from the beginning. I can’t even imagine how much of our dirty work they have done for us. We simply cannot abandon them. Even at Brinks where I started in 1970, their were anti semites working there and I was the guard on one route and with my last name, they didn’t know my religion until a little later. I really don’t get the antisemitism thing. I grew up in a town with pretty much everyone, most of the jew bashing was older people many of whom had Jewish friends , I really never understood that. But most Jews I grew up with and served with have been great people and loyal friends. I’m not going to lie and say we didn’t break their balls but they gave back as good if not better than they got. The Jewish people have been in general great Americans and an asset to our society. I pray that we stand by Israel’s side and that the civilized world does also. At the end of the day this is a fight for good over evil and civilized people against medieval barbarism.

Even my wife, who’s usually anti-Israel, concedes that Israel needs to wreak havoc. I got home from work yesterday and gently explained the difference between a military strike in which collateral damage happens, and a terrorist attack where civilians are directly targeted. Had Hamas stuck to IDF facilities I might be a bit more understanding but coming in like Cobra Troopers (GI Joe) on paragliders and attacking non-military objectives proves that they are cowards seeking to instill fear in the population of Israel as a whole.
My stance is this: if we are to provide aid, it needs to be at the expense of that we’ve been providing to Ukraine. Who’s more important to our national policy and strategy, Ukraine or Israel? Who pays for war materiel and cash shipped to either country? The American taxpayer. What dog do I personally have in either fight? Absolutely none.
If we get directly involved, we need to pull off the kids’ gloves and unleash our military’s full potential. Take Gaza, and if neighboring countries decide to intervene, destroy their militaries too. Egypt, Syria, [especially] Iran? Yeah, screw you, Bub. Learn from Iraq and Afghanistan and just make it a Desert Storm 2.0. Military defeat, leave the power structure in place to sheepishly attempt to explain how Allah backed the Great Satan, and further fortify Israel.
Ideally, though, we’ll stay out of this. Israel has a proven track record of handling its own business despite the occasional setback. The only family member I have currently serving is an estranged nephew (thanks, Meth Dad Bro) in the AF, but I don’t want your kids or grandkids going over to shed blood in yet another war.
Of course, the cynic in me thinks that this and Ukraine will be played up to maximum effect, either diverting attention away from the build-up to the election or being used to sway voters one way or the other.
