Man shot driver of stolen vehicle armed with a machete in Antioch, claims self-defense, police say
Police say two men were following a reportedly stolen white pickup truck on Goodwin Road when the driver stopped and was armed with a machete.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Metro Nashville Police are investigating a man’s self-defense claims after a fatal shooting in Antioch on Friday afternoon.Police say two men were following a reportedly stolen white pickup truck on Goodwin Road when the driver stopped and was armed with a machete.
That’s when one of the men following, shot and killed him, MNPD said.

CMPD: Man shot, killed by sworn company police officer near transit center identified
The deadly shooting happened just after 12:30 a.m. on Friday.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police (CMPD) identified the man shot and killed by a sworn company police officer near the Charlotte Transit Center early Friday morning.CMPD said 24-year-old Kashaune Lavonne Teal was shot just after 12:30 a.m. near the facility along East 4th Street in Uptown.
According to CMPD, the company police officers are sworn through Allied Security. They were hired by Queen City Quarter.
“[Two company officers] were dispatched to the loading dock area of the Queen City quarter in reference to a subject who was causing a disturbance and urinating on a wall,” explained CMPD Lt. Kevin Pietrus.
Police say when the sworn officers approached him, there was a struggle and the man reached for his gun and pointed it at the guards.
Pietrus said, “The officer was able to push the gun away before the subject discharged the firearm.”
