Suspect dead, Canton officer grazed by bullet: Police

CANTON, Ohio (WJW) — A Canton police officer was grazed by a bullet in a shooting late Wednesday night and a suspect in the incident has died, police sources confirm to the FOX-8 I-Team.According to police, the shooting happened shortly after 10 p.m. when officers responded to a disturbance at a home in the 300 block of 25th St SW.
Police say, shortly after arriving, officers were fired upon and returned fire, wounding the suspect, who has been identified as 41-year-old Jeffrey Neff.
Sources told the I-Team that Neff was involved in some sort of domestic incident and ran from officers.

Fredonia man shot by Ozaukee County detective who was serving a felony search warrant

An Ozaukee County detective shot a man this morning while serving a felony search warrant for internet crimes against children, according to a press release from the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office.The sheriff’s department said that while serving a search warrant at a house in Fredonia, a suspect “armed themselves with an edged weapon” and was shot by the detective. The shooting occurred at approximately 7:25 a.m.
The man was transported to a hospital. He is in serious condition.
The detective was also injured and taken to a hospital with what police have described as minor injuries.
Ozaukee County sheriff’s officials have so far declined to provide identifying details about either the victim of the shooting or the detective.

A Remington 700 was my first rifle in 30-06. No recoil pad. I later traded it. I also had a 700 in 22-250 that I kept for several decades using it to take uncounted rabbits and more than a few coyotes at my Uncle’s ranch.
