Armed Defender Ends Attack on the Road

U.S.A. –-(AmmoLand.com)- Crime happens anywhere and anytime. It was just before midnight Saturday when a man in his pickup truck was returning home with his two-year-old. He was almost home when he saw a woman walking on the side of the road. It was quite dark and cold on this rural road. The driver in his pickup truck stopped and offered the 49-year-old woman a ride. This is an uneventful good samaritan story so far.

The woman on the side of the road lived nearby. The individual in the pickup truck decided to drop his child off at home with his wife before he delivered the pedestrian to her home. The pickup truck had just pulled back onto the road in Elkrun Township, Ohio when it was struck from behind by a jeep. The jeep pushed the truck off the road. The driver in the truck looked in his rearview mirror and saw that the driver in the jeep had a handgun out the window with the gun pointed at the people in the truck. The vehicles stopped off the road in a wooded portion of this rural area.

The truck driver grabbed his firearm and got out of his truck. So did the driver of the jeep. Deputies reported that the jeep driver fired first before the armed defender shot his attacker several times in the torso.

The attacker stopped shooting and fell on the side of the road.

No good deed goes unpunished. I keed- glad the Samaritan cared enough to stop and offer aid, and gladder still he had the means to defend himself and his passenger against a lunatic’s attack.

17-year-old found asleep in stolen car shot by police after struggle with gun, TBI says

FOX13 Memphis News Staff
A 17-year-old boy found asleep inside of a stolen car was shot after a struggle over a gun with a Memphis Police officer, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI).

A spokesperson for the TBI, who is handling the investigation into the officer-involved shooting, said that officers spotted a car on Edward Cove around 6:30 a.m.

That car matched the description of a car used in a shots-fired call earlier in the day and Memphis Police determined that the car was stolen before approaching it, the TBI spokesperson said.

When officers approached the car, they saw the 17-year-old boy asleep inside of the vehicle with a gun on his lap, according to the TBI spokesperson.

Memphis has serious Baltimore envy issues. Speaking of which, Houston and KHOU have been oddly quiet of late. Thugs taking time off to be with family, I suppose. Happy holidays. Thanks to our own David and Gun Bunny for the links.

“…shot his attacker several times in the torso.” And that, Girls and Boys, is how you make a dirtbag domestic abuser a DRT. BZ Citizen!

That “gud boi” had just borrowed the car to make it to choir practice. He was taking a nap since he was tired from attending night classes studying to become a Community Organizer. Mostly peaceful protests in 5.4.3… I thought moving Bedford and his wife’s graves from Memphis was going to make it all better? Who knew.

2 words for 2022…Good Riddance!

3 words for 2023…Gonna get worse!

KHOU full of weather, vehicle accidents, and your basic murders. Business as usual.

Graybeard

That’s about all I’ve been fining on KHOU or the other Houston area news outlets – weather, murders, MVAs, and the tragic loss of Celebrity X.

I saw the bodycam video of that officer involved shooting. Not only did they shoot that little dirt wad, but the officer used his pistol’s muzzle to break the driver side window. That’s a new use for a firearm I’ve never seen before, and works a lot better than those collapsible ASP batons.

Memphis again. Chicago of the south.
