Looking at liars

Kos has figured us all out. Those of us who don’t want to take any part in the Obama plan are a bunch of “insurance industry shills” so they made this commercial “Townhalls Gone Wild” in which they call us “cranks” and “nutjobs” because we have an opinion that’s not like theirs;

I guess the folks at Kos think that if we feel bad about the way they portray us, we’ll throw away our health for appearances sake.

Claymore sent us a link to a thread at Democratic Underground that’s a hoot. Some guy who calls himself “1776Forever” and uses a Thomas Jefferson portrait as an avatar, links to a story by a CANADIAN who happened to be in Las Vegas when his mother had a stroke.

The hospital wanted to charge him $86,000 for a test on his mother. The DUmmy claims that the test would have cost him NOTHING in CANADA, ya know, where he’s a citizen. Apparently, I’m supposed to feel some sort of outrage because we’d charge people from other countries for the health care they get while they’re here. Because that’s what Thomas Jefferson would want?

Of course, none of the commenters notice that we’re talking about a Canadian citizen trying to get health care in our country. “We suck” seems to be theme.

In response to Barbara Boxer’s comment the other day that folks disrupting Town Hall meetings are too well-dressed to be regular folks (so we must be insurance industry shills), Michelle Malkin gives us tips on how we should dress and act to be seen as legitimate disgruntled Americans.

So let me know when the Left decides to join the health care debate with some facts.

This escalation of tensions against citizens exercising their rights of free speech, assembly and dissent is shaking me to the core. What have we become? Where is the POTUS and the Democrat party going with this?

As an active duty member I don’t want to end up being called into a small town to try and decide which angry citizen needs to be defended and which angry citizen needs to be restrained. And, I certainly don’t want to order my men to do it.

It seems just the thought of someone disputing some legislation the left is intent on passing is reason to be silenced in anyway possible. What’s so ironic is some of these people who wish to crush all opposition to this legislation were probably at the core of some of the most violent demonstrations of civil unrest during the 60’s.

You’ll be in for a LONG wait on that one Jonn…..

Fact: Universal health care in Canada is a big unifying force up there, where there is a sense that they are “ll in this together”, as opposed to the U.S., where we have turned American against American, and have become a selfish, narcissistic, predatory people, scamming and preying on each other, fighting each other over the crumbs while the corporations reap the rewards. Fact: The percentage of the total Canadian health care budget spent on administrative costs: 1%. The percentage of the total American health care budget spent on administrative costs:31% 31% of the budget to shuffle papers and sue each other! We could practice a lot of real medicine that 31%. PS – This website should be renamed, “A bunch of cranky, backward old military guys whose best days are behind them, who think the world owes them perpetual adulation for serving, and who are hacked off about pretty much everything”.

I’m still wondering where the hell these Democrat politicians were over the last eight years when people would invade and disrupt, not town hall meetings, but Congressional committee meetings.

This shit is a joke. They all feign outrage now at mindless Republicans using the same tactics as mindless Democrats used for nearly a decade. Come the next Republican administration, which is inevitable, watch everyone do a chinese fire drill and change seats.

NHSparky

Joe–did you not get your cookie this morning? Fact: Up here in NH, we see lots of Canadians coming down here for health CARE (and paying for it) because it’s simply unavailable back in Canada in any sort of timely fashion.

Oh man. Where to start (like most of you who read and comment here don’t already know this, though). A friend of mine in England had a heart attack. Needed by pass surgery. FIFTEEN month wait. He died 8 months later because he didn’t have enough money to save his own life. His wife was diagnosed with cancer. You guessed it. She died WAITING for treatment. Yeah, I’m for health care reform here. We’ve all read many stories like this but these two are personal to me. General Petreaus is “summoned” to testify before Congress. I’m pretty sure he didn’t request to be there (tongue in cheek). Code pink made asses of themselves in the Senate chambers yelling, screaming, holding up disgusting signs. But…they aren’t extremists ya know. I went to DC on a couple of occassions to counter protest ANSWER, Moveon.org, etc. While standing on the sidewalk behind police barracades as the paid protesters made their way down the street holding signs with disgusting comments, caring the US flag in extremely disrespective manners, cursing, screaming, yelling, flipping the bird….I stood their shouting USA, USA, USA and on more than one occassion was threatened by these “peace loving” people. And I’M an extremist? The majority of the threats were verbal but one was physical. He didn’t get to me thanks to the barracade and the police. And all because I was THERE and shouting USA. Go figure. I’m a racist and an extremist. OK Healthcare is out of wack here because of many reasons. Socializing it WILL NOT make it better. Admin fees ARE through the roof. But Americans are too damn lazy to work. And legislation has increased the amount of administrative issues. Toss in a good helping of the number of malpractice claims without merit that get paid just to “get rid of them because it’s cheaper than fighting it” and viola….costs go up. I am SO proud of those who are standing up. Who are excercising their rights to free speech. Who are asking to take this country back – NOT as Republicans. Not as anything other… Read more »

Gee Joe, would you prefer Worker’s Soviets to corporations?

“The percentage of the total American health care budget spent on administrative costs:31%” DUE TO GOOBERNMINTAL OVER-REGULATION Joesy-kins!

“This website should be renamed, “A bunch of cranky, backward old military guys whose best days are behind them, who think the world owes them perpetual adulation for serving, and who are hacked off about pretty much everything”.
Nice broad brush to tar everyone here with, John, who I disagree with on much, allows me to post freely about anything on this blog. I am better described as a Libertarian National Guard guy who doesn’t think everyone should adore me for being a vet. I am categorically against our military being used as a modern Roman Legion to play globo-cop for the world’s barbarians or as military welfare for developed nations who have the GDP to defend themselves. I am venomous HATER of socialism and nanny-statism that herd animals such as y’self endorse.

“insurance industry shills”

What happens to the worker bees, the joe and jill sixpack mid-level and lower working stiffs who get fired when the goobernmint annihilates their jobs??? Unemployment, according to the radio broadcast I heard is 9% at the National level.

Claymore

Fact: People named ‘Joe’ usually went by ‘Joey’ in elementary school and smelled like boiled cabbage.

tankerbabe

And what happens to the worker bees when illegal aliens fill their jobs?

UpNorth

Junior AG, I heard today, that when you count the folks who’ve given up looking for work, the unemployment rate goes up about 6%. And, is anyone suspicious that the “good” unemployment news comes out as Obie and the dems are doing a chicken dance over the town halls? Good being 245,000 people still lost their jobs last month.
Oh, and Joe, thanks for the perfect description of Obama. That being “selfish, narcissistic, predatory people, scamming and preying on each other, fighting each other”. Fits him to a T.
