Wireman611

The only reason that I was up at that hour on a holiday is that today I labor.

Mick

First!

Mick

OK; 2nd.

KoB

And you know, of course, in which room your 2nd Place Trophy awaits you. Looks like (BEAT) Navy came in 2nd against Delaware on weekend past, so there is that. If it eases your pain any, (GO) Army didn’t do much better against a Coastal Carolina School.

I coulda used a Wireman FIRST thing this morning. Those frog stranglers that came thru my AO had a negative effect on the inherwebz connections. Been kinda spotty reception. Kinda like those (BEAT) Navy receivers will be this December upcoming. Not to worry tho, Mick. We’ll never lose that lovin’ feelin’ for our Naughty Culled minded Brethern.

AW1Ed

Sorry, I came in 4th

NDHoosier

Fuck Joe Biden
Today is Labor Day
I can’t recall a single time
when Biden earned his pay.

SFC D

4th. A top 5 finish. A moral victory!

Green Thumb

This clown has a tough choice between All-Points Logistics and Ambassador Worldwide Protection Agency.

NDHoosier

Possibly a future with the FBI as Director of Panty Raids?

AW1Ed

All reformed and ready to start on the straight-and-narrow.

Riiight.

I bet being a Sex Offender made his time in the Greybar Hilton a real Joy, I bet that got his ass straightened out if yaknowhutimean!

Berliner

Yeah, he probably looked forward to “Fisting Fridays”.

rgr769

He has likely developed a case of loose anoose .

Green Thumb

No Labor Day at All-Points Logistics (well, depending on how you look at it).

The False Commander “Phony” Phil Monkress (CEO of All-Points Logistics) and his new batch of Phildo supporters are working hard preparing grant submissions to obtain minority, set-aside taxpayer-funded goverment contracts based upon his highly questionable and potentially felonious Native American, law enforcement and Navy SEAL claims.

Graybeard

Happy labor day to all you DWs & DW-ettes’ – all of whom know the meaning of the word “Labor”

Visiting brother-in-law and I went out shooting some yesterday. He works for Glock, so I got to shoot one for my first time ever.
Let him shoot my P220 – he loved it.
FWIW, all the freedom seeds went into a nice small pattern.

AW1Ed

I’ll ‘fess up, I have a love-hate relationship with Glock. I get form-and-function, but I really don’t like the ergos. Trouble is I can shoot ’em really, really well.
Hard to argue with success.

Graybeard

At the end of the 2nd magazine, my strong hand was feeling the fatigue.
Ergonomics was different – less real estate than on my full size, but that’s part because this is a specifically-made carry gun. Lightweight and easy to conceal.
I did shoot it well. It is hard to argue with success.

I can really identify with the pic. I was stationed at Misawa AB in northern Japan and I distinctly remember walking in the parking lot in thigh deep snow. I don’t know how the hell I got out of said parking lot, but I do remember following a snow plow up the hill to work. Just one of many snow stories.

One year we had well over 200 inches of snow. Lucky for me, I spent most of that winter at sea. My wife, though, was no so lucky. She did have a picture of what the common area outside of our house looked like after a few storms. Can you say “World War One Trenches”? The top of the snow bank was well over her head.

David

You know it’s deep when the FLR-9 is buried.

Labor? Not since I retired… except for the wife.

MustangCryppie

My Lord! If the “Elephant Cage” had been buried, now THAT would have been an EPIC storm!

I’m a ham radio operator and I subscribe to a site called QRZ.com. Anyway, I do the trivia quizzes which usually show me how little I actually know. But one day, I was astounded to see a trivia question about the Misawa Elephant Cage! Now, I know a lot of spooks are amateurs, but many amateurs are not spooks. Talk about an esoteric question. I even wrote the drafters of the quiz to find out where out of left field it came, but sadly no response.

Used to get the Ham Magazine from Long Island NY which had a shortwave magazine for a number of years but stopped the publications. They also sent me the regular Ham mag subscription to sign up and I kept sending them in saying that I wasn’ a Ham and just was a Listener. I started re learning to type on my Smith Corona type writer so to get ever letter I started typing the old.
“The Quick Brown Fox Jumped Over The Lazy Dogs Back”. My Drake R7 is broke as well as my SDR Win Radio.

Tallywhagger

Still have quite a bit of equipment but have not keyed up in years. HF rig is Kenwood TS940 and it still works.

Used to have some fun down on 80M but 40M was my favorite.

The horror stories I heard about her from the Presidential Helo test crew. They were briefed on whether it was skirt or pantsuit that day, and to keep their eyes on the horizon at all times. If she thought you were looking at her cankles you were doomed.
Brrrrr…….

A Proud Infidel®™

I heard a war story about a US Marine assigned to the White House who glanced at Hitlery’s cankles and received an immediate stare of death from her, by that afternoon, he had Orders for elsewhere with NO mention in his records of ever serving at The White house.

Graybeard

So, he got himself outta the shiitehole duty with just one look?

Hack Stone

It was a self induced medical transfer. He poured battery acid into his eye sockets to prevent this from happening again.

jeff LPH 3 63-66

Back from a labor Day brunch over at another Community and saw the guy from Memorial Day get together who was Special Forces SOG LRRP in Viet Nam. 85 years old and what a dancer with the Chicks.

rgr769

SOG recon teams weren’t LRRP’s. They were conducting strategic recon as opposed to tactical reconnaissance.

Commie-Tsar

I’m sitting in my dacha, wearling my Ho Chi Minh sandals and reading Mao’s Little Red Book to celebrate! Later on, I’ll go walking through the hallowed halls of Berkeley reliving my days as a struggling socialist student!

What about you capatalist dogs?

NDHoosier

What, you’re not going to visit Hanoi Jane?

A Proud Infidel®™

Another Open Thread and I award myself Honorary First once again.

((((OVER))))

I heard that Phildo is still blowing winos behind bus stops.

Hack Stone

Hack Stone received two phone calls this afternoon from “PEPCO” but neither caller ID indicated so. It appears that they will be cutting off hack’s power this afternoon unless he calls 1-800-681-2519 Extension 1 to arrange payment. So Hack asked the caller for Hack’s account number so that when he calls, he make sure that his payment is recorded properly. He said that he is only a technician, and he does not have the account number. So hack asked how does he know that Hack is in arrears. Then Hack asked “Does PEPCO have any customer service reps who do not speak with an Indian accent?” Then he hung up. Looks like Hack will be going Amish in the not too distant future.
