Rasmusen Reports: Only 8% watch CNN daily

| February 9, 2022

Zeff Zucker’s departure from CNN does not appear to have changed the direction with regards to CNN viewership. According to a recent Rasmusen poll, only 8% polled stated that they watched CNN daily. The other numbers that came up in this poll do not seem to support the idea that CNN is the most trusted name in news.

From the Washington Examiner:

Many more, 48%, said they never or rarely tune in, and a combined 71% said they are in the “occasional” to “never” category.

The survey was released during a tumultuous period for the cable network created by Ted Turner in 1980.

Not only are ratings in the dump, but several of CNN’s personalities have left, including former President Jeff Zucker and host Chris Cuomo.

Rasmussen delivered bad news about the impact of Zucker’s fall after he admitted to having a consensual relationship with a deputy. The survey found that his departure won’t mean much to viewers. Asked if it was good or bad for CNN, 58% shrugged, saying, “It will not make much difference.”

Maybe worse, the pollster tested the cable network’s motto, “The most trusted name in news,” and found that 58% disagree, 33% agree.

But, then, a majority of voters simply don’t trust any media, said the pollster.

In the survey analysis, Rasmussen said, “Distrust of the news media remains high, as 58% of voters agree with former President Donald Trump’s statement that the media are ‘truly the enemy of the people,’ a finding unchanged since last July. Twenty-nine percent (29%) now strongly agree with Trump’s description of the media, slightly down from July. Thirty-seven percent (37%) of voters disagree with the claim that the media are ‘the enemy of the people,’ including 22% who strongly disagree.”

If they take it off the screens at the gym, that number will drop significantly.

And the airports.

And I came here to say this…polled a wide audience of paraplegic travelers in the nation’s airports.

IIRC, the last time I looked at the Communist News Network was that cold January morning when Challenger blew up. I was demonstrating the latest C Band Satellite descrambler and they were the only broadcaster carrying the live feed.. Had a buddy that was one of CCN’s engineers and he had told me the only reason they made sure they had coverage was in case something did blow up.

Too bad there is not an organization that simply reports, factually, everything that happens in the N(orth)E(ast)W(est)S(outh).

Since I don’t have any type of “Cable” TV, am not a member of a gym, and generally have my nose in a book at the airport, guess I won’t ever watch CNN again.

“Trust?” I trust them to support Socialism at every turn and support Democrats and racism to the end and oppose Republicans and science they consider a threat to Socialism till the end. By being so consistent they provide us a compass.

8% are every day? That’s because those poor people that work in the airport don’t have anything else they can watch on break.

The cnn viewers remind me of watching videos of Mr. Joesph Goebbels giving those WW2 propaganda speeches on the Hitler channel (history Channel)

> several of CNN’s personalities have left

That’s right. Not journalists, not reporters – not even weakly pretending to be journalists or reporters anymore. Personalities.

My thought as well.

I’ve only seen CNN on Airport TV screens and in the waiting room at the VA Clinic.

“I have a dream that one day down in [Atlanta at CNN HQ], with its vicious racists, with its [clowns-cum-agiprop dispensers] having [zim’s/zer’s] lips dripping with the words of interposition and nullification — one day right there in [Altlantistan] little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers,[and collectively NOT watch CNN]” -Dr. MLK, Jr. (reimagined)

Robin Meade on CNNs Morning Express is still the hottest talking head on media. I haven’t seen it since before the pandemic though.

Well, that reminds me of the four rules, specifically number 2: “If she’s lower than your standards, lower your standards”. 🙂
