Students stage walkout at Minnesota school in protest of inaction against accused sexual abuser

| November 15, 2021

The school board, administration, and principal of a middle school in rural Zimmerman, MN apparently weren’t watching what happened in Loudin County, Virginia recently. Not knowing history (or in this case, current events), they appear to be doomed to repeat it.

From The Post Millenial;

On Friday, students at Zimmerman Middle/High School in Zimmerman, Minnesota staged a walkout to protest the school’s insisting on making alleged victims go to class with a boy they have accused of sexually assaulting them.

Protesting what appears to be a cover-up incident similar to this one in Loudoun County, the walkout took place despite repeated threats by the school principal, Marco Voce, who told students that they faced suspension if they walked out.

According to the Daily Mail, there was a school board meeting held on Thursday, but the topic was glossed over, and parents were not allowed to even so much as bring up the subject.

“We were all denied. None of us were allowed to speak at the meeting,” said Cassie Bonine, whose daughter attends the school. Bonine later ran into Voce while going to the bathroom, saying, “I then asked him if he had children. He said he had two daughters. And I asked him what if it were your daughters? How would you feel in this situation?”

The following day, a sheriff appeared at her door and handed her the following letter:

The letter mentions that she is now prohibited from entering the school grounds for a period of one year. “I can’t drop her off. I can’t pick her up. I can’t attend her volleyball games. I can’t go to her conferences. If she’s sick, I can’t go there. If she’s injured, I can’t go there.”

Voce had also previously sent a threatening email to students and parents, saying, “ISD 728 does not condone, support, or sponsor student walkouts, and that “… students who participate in a walkout that violates any ISD 728 policy, which includes any type of bullying, harassment, discrimination etc., may receive significant discipline which could include out of school suspension.”

That principal needs a swift kick in the ass.

This is how I hope it plays out:

President Elect Toxic Deplorable Racist SAH Neanderthal B Woodman Domestic Violent Extremist SuperStraight

Sounds like the principal has no conservative principles.
Do his edicts rise to the force of law?
He need to be paid “special attention”. Make him know he’s loved and wanted. In the middle of the night. TO his car and house. You know…..

Roh-Dog

Oh, horse pucky:

“ISD 728 does not condone, support, or sponsor student walkouts…”
-But the Admin *is* willing to ‘walkout’ on logic, reason, and have abdicated their number one responsibility: care of the student.

“… students who participate in a walkout that violates any ISD 728 policy, which includes any type of bullying, harassment, discrimination etc.,”
-will that include types of bullying, harassment, or discrimination like, “I don’t want to attend class with a known sexual criminal” or “I don’t feel safe”? You’re clowns.

“…may receive significant discipline which could include out of school suspension.”
-so rules for those who disagree or ‘make you feel bad’ but ACTUAL criminals… naw. You know something, if I was a student or parent there I would absolutely pursue that outcome, organize a union of the like-minded and sue the ever-loving crap out of these criminals.

Disband and disbar them ALL.

Well, wanted or not, you now have international and national attention on your silly shit, you fucking dumbass.
I hope you fucking ROAST for this inexcusable shit.
Way. To. Go. Principal (NOT YOUR PAL!!) Marco (play POLO, with your head!!) Voce (SAY IT LOUD, SAY IT PROUD!!)
🤬🖕💩👜🤡

The school is misinterpreting “Justice” as “Just Us”. Time for a new school board/principal.

But is for “greater good” like Stalin, comrade!

(Rule of law and freedom isn’t doing “democracy” right like the Chicoms say, right Lars?)

SFC D

I also do not condone, endorse, or approve of student walkouts.

Right up till this one.

Voce didn’t get the memo- safe Soccer Moms are now angry Mama Bears, and his days on the school board are numbered.

Deckie

Sounds like Voce is a tremendous sissy and coward.

If being confronted regarding child safety sends you into such fear that you send out little “you can’t talk to or come near me anymore” letters, be prepared to be the newest face of stupidity and neglect of children across the nation.

I hope this explodes in his and the school board’s faces like an Acme bomb dropped off for Wiley Coyote.

Sounds a lot like “don’t talk to me or my wife’s son again” if you ask me.

Anarchotyranny– the authorities let maniacs run around loose to use as justification for suppressing everyone else.

Don’t see ’em doing sh*t about dangerous preverts but they suspend/ban anyone who complains.

KoB

^Word^ So you can’t protest or walk out, but you can do rapey stuff? Got it.

Be a real shame if Voce had some type of trip and fall situation in the grocery store parking lot. That Black Ice is hard to see.

My 17 year-old is in the US Navy Sea Cadet Corps AND in the US Marine Corps JROTC concurrently.
She knows JUST what to do, because she has me, her mother, her Marine Drill Instructors AND her Navy Drill Instructors to look after and advise her…
If there’s any kind of problem or hang-up with either of the programs that affect her, she’s right in front and one of us is right behind her.
We make sure she stands up for herself.
$9,000 scholarship x2 per program is $18,000.
She ain’t leaving THAT kind of money on the table… 😉

Talking about protecting your kids from sexual assault at school is not ok.

Got it.

By the time this is all said and done bathroom choice and CRT are going to be the least of the local school board problems. Parents are fed up.

A reckoning is coming.

They are either going to reclaim their schools and fire everyone or leave forever go home school.

Hatchet

The People – or in this case, the Student body – have spoken. Better listen up Voce.

That goes to show just how incompetent Bureaucrats will circle their proverbial wagons to protect each other regardless as well as it’s past time to unseat as many of them as possible.

xyzzy

This shitstain is so incompetent, the only job he qualifies for is Governor of Florida. 😜

Docduracoat

What does that mean ?
Rick Scott has done a great job as Governor
He minimized lock downs, our economy is booming and Covid deaths are far lower than California.
He will likely be the next President of the USA

Topski

Hey Doc, please don’t confuse our senator and our Governor. (Even if they were both Navy)

If parents aren’t allowed at this school, and students aren’t either, who’s left? The overpaid teachers sitting in empty classrooms? Of course, there will always be this clown, hyperventilating into a paper bag behind his (almost guaranteed) fancy desk.

School boards are elected positions. As such they are subject to recalls. I imagine having a recall initiated for them just might get their attention. A successful recall might also solve the issue with retaliation against parents who dare to speak out to their elected officials.
