What’s that saying about, “knife….gun fight……don’t bring”? I’m sure it will come to me soon.
Have to wonder if drugs were in involved, and if so, what kind?
“I’ll take ‘Things to Avoid If You Want to Continue Living’ for $1000, Alex.”
Nice write up on some nice pea poppin’ Olympic pistols.
Unfortunately, in this crazy day, try finding/affording either pistol or ammo.
Yeah, all the recent .22’s showcased here have me itchin to break
out the G1 Contender and pop a few Red Squirrels messing with
my bird feeders. Even if they wern’t.
Red Squirrels burned down my house back in the 70’s by chewing
on the tasty Romex wires in the wall. That gave me a lifetime
license to kill every last one of them on the planet.
They mate in late March and dump litters in April. If you can find
the brush pile they have nested in, just set it on fire and pick
them off as they scurry about. OK, I’ll stop here.
If you kill all of the squirrels, what animal would you use to signal overhead aircraft when you get lost in the wilderness? You need to brush up on your survival skills gleaned from The Stunning Agency website.
My license doesn’t cover all Squirrels, just Red ones.
Gray Squirrels are protected and plentiful here.
They also burn much hotter and longer.
And, too, Hack Stone and ‘beans, need to be careful when you mess with them squirrels. It’s no secret here that many of them are former sealberetforcesniperrecongreenparadeltas whose deadly records are sealed by the Keebler Elves in the Big Oak Tree down at the Old Johnson Place. They’re worse than Mosuri Go-rillas, look at ’em wrong and they kill ya! I’ll put the dumplin’ pot on.
No matter the length of the knife, it’s still a knife. Trey shoulda brought the other Musketeers with him…and some muskets. Did his dreams of Bushido make him think he was in a certain Japanese movie starring a certain unnamed former wanna be Naval Aviator? Hmmm
Me thinks the Shreveport story may have a bit of spurned lover aspect to it. Maybe the wounded Ms Thang was just “to die for”? Scroll on thru the other stories in that linky if you haven’t already. Shreveport popo might as well go ahead and shut the doors. They may take the calls, but they aren’t sending anybody out.
Realize the Walther link was written a good while back, but after hearing Graybeards tale of woe, every thing with their name has a taint about it.
Hat tip for the sword article, KoB. Got a bit rushed posting, yesterday.
KoB… EVERYONE makes a bad one once in a while, don’t care what quality systems are in place. On the plus side, even shaky companies turn out good products occasionally.
Oh I’m all about knowing that ANYBODY can make a lemon on any given day, ‘specially on Monday Morning or late Friday Afternoon. My problem with them is they did not follow up and take care of the problem that Graybeard had. I spent too many years as a manufacturer’s representative to condone customer (lack of) service like he had. My briefcase had a stack of credit memo forms and replace at no charge forms that was a simple matter to fill out with the required information (Make, Model, Serial Number, proof of purchase) and it was a done deal. An old saying we had in the rep game was if you made a customer happy, he/she may tell 25 friends or associates. If you pissed off a customer, he/she would tell 100 people. I made a damn good living for over 20 years conducting business that way, in the face of serious competition, selling comparable or the same product, sometimes at a lower price point than we did.
NO/ZERO/(0) excuses or phuques for them. One oh sh^t wipes out 1000 attaboys.
Love that quote from P.J. O’Rourke! Very true.
What we really need to do is watch Congress Woman AOC’s wealth. BY all accounts she was broke when she entered Congress. By estimates, she will be a millionaire at the end of 4 years…making less than $200K per year and having to maintain a residence in Washington, D.C. and New York City.
Instead of Welfare we should have everyone spend four years as a Congress Person (no one stays longer than that)!
GSP Looks like a comp pistol, so I googled it and found out that it is a comp pistol. Never heard of it even though it’s been around for years.
Jeff, remember Henry Ford’s “Auto racing began 5 minutes after the second car was built” quote? Two guys at the range, anything is a comp pistol.
It’s why I keep a couple boxes of Eley .22LR in the bag.
Eley is the champagne of .22LR. Pricey, but it shoots tight groups.
