Robber was shot, killed in struggle with man working on his car, DA says
By Kurt Bresswein
The victim in an Allentown homicide earlier this month was shot to death by a man he’d tried to rob, investigators said Wednesday. The shooter is not being identified and faces no charges for acting in self-defense, Lehigh County District Attorney Jim Martin said in a news release.
The incident occurred at about 2:55 p.m. Aug. 8 in the city’s 1700 block of South Idaho Street. Juan Rivera, 28, of Lowell, Massachusetts, ended up dead after he and another as-yet-unidentified man approached an individual who was in his vehicle in the rear parking lot of an apartment complex, Martin said.
The release gives the following account of what transpired:
“Rivera and his accomplice were both armed with handguns and wore facial coverings. Rivera approached the passenger-side door of the parked vehicle while his accomplice approached the driver-side door.
“The registered owner of the vehicle was in the rear passenger compartment doing work on the vehicle’s stereo system. Rivera and his accomplice pointed their guns at the vehicle owner and demanded his property. Rivera then got out of the vehicle and went into the vehicle owner’s apartment where Rivera pointed a gun at the occupants.
“Simultaneously, Rivera’s accomplice struck the owner in the head and pulled him out of the vehicle. A struggle ensued between the owner and the accomplice. During the struggle, the accomplice dropped his gun and the weapon was picked up by the vehicle owner. The accomplice fled the area on foot.

No charges filed against Wapato man in fatal shooting
by Elayne Rojo-Rodriguez
WAPATO, Wash.– A 31-year-old Wapato man who shot a man and wounded another man will not be facing charges at this time, according to Yakima County Prosecutor Joe Brusic.Yakima County Prosecutor Joe Brusic says Jesse Villa shot and killed 27-year-old Tadd Blodgett and wounded 22-year-old Isaac Bobb on August 20.
Blodgett and Bobb are enrolled Yakima Nation tribal members, according to a police report.
According to a police report, Jesse Villa arrived home from work at about 3 a.m. to find his wife and three men outside at the 700 block of W. 7th St.
“They had come over earlier that evening and had been partying and hanging out,” Brusic says.
However, a small fight began after one of the men started pushing Villa’s wife, according to Brusic.
The prosecutor says Villa told them the men to leave, and when they wouldn’t, he went inside to get a gun.
When Villa went into his house, a family member was told him that his wife was being assaulted, says Brusic.
Reports say Villa grabbed a gun and went outside to find his wife on the ground with the men standing over her.
One of the men charged Villa and the other swung at him, according to Brusic.

“Victim” Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes?
“An enemy of liberty is no friend of mine. I do not owe respect to anyone who would enslave me by government force, nor is it wise for such a person to expect it.” — Isaiah Amberay

Okie dokie, ‘pears like we have a hole in “Juan” and now the Yakima have gone on the warpath. Bet firewater was involved in the later.
Ahhh Mr. Colt’s Dragoon..As fine a shooting iron as there ever was…oncet. Mr. Walker took the idea and beefed it up a bit. The FIRST true repeating hand cannon.
Somebody shoulda put a drag on Benjamin “The Beast” Butler’s neck. You wanna put a face to the pure evil and political appointees of the War Between the States it would be that Son if a Bitch. Relieved for cause from several commands and was always bailed out by his political buddies. Oddly he is still vilified and praised in various New Orleans circles…depending on whether your family was the enrichees, or the enrichers. The poster boy, along with ‘Cump Sherman and Little Phil Sheridan, of the whole “Forget Hell” crowd. Google foo the bastard, some of his type are still serving.
A very young, drop dead gorgeous June Lockhart playing the part of a Lady Doctor on a 1957 version of Paladin this morning. (No Visitors) Hubba Hubba! She could examine me anytime. And no wonder that John Robinson wanted to be “Lost in Space”.
The first post is more than confusing…maybe if Rivera got in to the vehicle would we understand why he got out of the vehicle. Seems like he knew the person if he knew which apartment to go into. So the “Vehicle Owner…otherwise not identified” used the second robber’s gun to evict Rivera from his apartment where he had taken the “Vehicle Owner’s” family hostage!
Wonder what kind of stereo he was installing?!
I see HuffPo is eulogizing the “victims” of the Kenosha shootings. The one was a hero for “taking down a gunman with only a skateboard.” “Shoot me ni@@a” was a daddy and a righteous social justice guy. Tje guy shot in the arm they admit was armed, but not that he shot first. Oh, and he was working for the protesters as a combat medic… yeah, my hopes were dashed too… not the right one was shot.
