CALIFORNIA MAN ARRESTED FOLLOWING MYRTLE CREEK GUN STORE BURGLARY AND PURSUIT

A Los Angeles man is behind bars after a brazen break-in at a Douglas County gun store on Sunday night.MYRTLE CREEK, Ore. — A Los Angeles man is behind bars after a brazen break-in at a Myrtle Creek gun store on Sunday night, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
Around 9 p.m., dispatchers received a report of a man breaking into a gun shop in the 100-block of Storage Way in Myrtle Creek, apparently loading his vehicle up with guns and ammunition.
An officer with Myrtle Creek Police saw the suspect driving away as deputies arrived on the scene. When the deputies tried to stop the driver, he reportedly sped away onto I-5 southbound.
“The suspect lead law enforcement on a pursuit and briefly got away,” DCSO said. “A short time later, the suspect vehicle was observed in a pullout near milepost 97.”
Deputies brought in K9 “Ozzy” to help take the suspect into custody after he reportedly ran onto the freeway.

Georgia Father Who Shot At Man He Found In His Daughter’s Bedroom Arrested for Assault

What would you do if you discovered a man in your teenage daughter’s bedroom in the middle of the night? Most people would do anything and everything they could to protect her and the rest of the family from the intruder. That’s exactly what a Coweta County, Georgia man did when he came upon 20-year-old Keywontrezes Humphries in his 14-year-old daughter’s room earlier this month (someone the girl apparently knew).Then, as Casillas went to retrieve gun, Humphries jumped out the bedroom window. And that’s where Casillas took a wrong turn. One he got the gun, he reportedly pursued Humphries outside, beat him some more, and then fired a number of shots at him as he ran away.
According to fox5atlanta.com, Ismail Casillas, the girls’ father, proceeded to pound Humphries to a pulp.
Investigators say that is where Casillas crossed the line, because Humphries was no longer a threat to him. Though investigators say they understand Casillas rage, Georgia law draws a line on continuing actions against an intruder once they are no longer a threat and in this case fleeing down the road.

Afghan teen kills 2 Taliban with AK-47 after they murdered her parents

A teenage girl in the central Afghan province of Ghor killed a pair of Taliban militants with an AK-47 rifle after the Taliban members killed her parents.The Afghan teenager, Qamar Gul, used the AK-47 rifle owned by her family to kill two Taliban fighters who attacked her home and killed her parents for supporting the Afghan government. Habiburahman Malekzada, local police chief, confirmed the incident in comments to Agence France-Presse and later reported by The New York Post.
“Qamar Gul, a young girl and her brother, have killed two Taliban fighters and pushed back several others in Tewri district of Ghor province, after the insurgents killed three members of their family,” the Afghanistan Times tweeted with a photo of Gul and the AK-47 rifle.
Malekzada said a group of Taliban attackers initially came after Gul’s father but killed both her parents outside her home after her mother resisted the Taliban attack. It was then that Gul took action to fight off the Taliban group.

Five Washington Teens Save Female Deputy Who Was Allegedly Being Choked By DUI Suspect
A group of Washington state teens sprung into action Saturday and saved a King County deputy who was allegedly being choked by a DUI suspect, police said Tuesday.
A female officer, who was referred to as Deputy Eliot, was reportedly off-duty when she came upon a multi-vehicle car wreck, The King County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post.
Eliot confronted an inebriated suspect who allegedly caused the pile-up, and the person began struggling with the deputy and placed her in a chokehold, the sheriff’s office said in the social media post.
“Get off of her!” yelled five young men who jumped on the suspect and pried the him off Eliot, the post said. The good men then restrained the alleged aggressor, as Eliot collected herself and cuffed him, according to the post.
The group of what appeared to be teenagers were seen in a photograph hugging the deputy after the violent encounter.
“We cannot thank these five young men enough for coming to Deputy Elliott’s rescue,” The sheriff’s office wrote on Facebook. “They quite possibly saved her life. The photo was taken just a few minutes after the teens helped her. Moms and Dads, you should be proud of these kids!”

Glad to see the Super Blackhawk again.
The model 0860 on the left is the one Ruger sent
me to replace the original Super Blackhawk from
1975 that cost $160 back then.
The 0860 is aka the “Hunter” model. Good name.
I wear it for protection while hunting in a Galco
western holster, semi-crossdraw. If I fall down or
otherwise find myself in trouble it is right there
on my belly. The rounded trigger guard is a nice
improvement over the knuckle busting square one.

Have you tried Pachmayr Decelerator grips for your sidearm? They work very well in reducing hand-bashing by Magnums.
They do change the grip angle noticeably. Some folks have trouble reaching the standard Blackhawk/Vaquero hammer with the oversized grip installed. The SBH hammer is lower, so less of a problem.
But those grips are a -huge- improvement over wood and steel.
Aces and eights, what with 2 DOTs and 3 more guests at the gray bar hotel. Wonder if Ozzy will get a conjugal visit with Harriet as a reward or will he just settle for an extry dog biscuit.

I had my favorite ‘Smith put SBH hammers on my Vaqueros. -much- easier to work the gun one-sided.
Small point, read for comprehension. No mention was made of the ACEs and 8s of supposed WBH Fame, or the supposed “dead man’s hand. There wasn’t even a reference made in my comment about a full house, tho, again reading for comprehension, 2 DOTs (since they are “dead over there v dead right there) makes a pair (2 ACEs). 3 incarcerated (8s) gives a total of 5 in the disposition of dirtbags. I didn’t count the Dad in the mix, cause I know that he will walk, most probably. Coweta County Georgia is small town America and even if that case comes to trial, he will walk. I could have used any other card reference to get the 5 total, just used the 8s, since it is middle of the road for locked up deadbeats and I like the number 8…as in I just ate another biscuit while commenting.

So further reading on the Afghan story leads to the information that her “husband” had recently joined the Taliban and she was sheltering with her parents until he paid off debts he owed (she was his second wife). By the way, he was one of the dead Taliban she killed.
Kudos to the Washington State teens…not everyone in their generation are idiots! Their parents should be proud!
