Wanted; Daniel A. Bernath
Editor’s Note: Apparently someone has broken into TAH past our multiple levels of defense. I assume it is satire, but we are looking into it. I only know that none of us did this. And Satire is apparently an absolute defense to all libels and slanders. One of the greatest legal minds of any generation told us that, so it must be true.
We’ll work on finding out who it is.
Here’s your wanted poster for Daniel Bernath who was never a Chief Petty Officer honorably or otherwise. MCPO NYC got an email from CDR John W. White, USN (Ret), who is the President of the National Association of Naval Photography, you know the group that Bernath claims bestowed upon him an “Honorable” Chief Petty Officer rank. Well, Commander White sends;
The National Association of Naval Photography (NANP) has never conferred the title of “Honorary Chief Petty Officer” upon anyone. Therefore, we would have no official records substantiating Mr. Bernath’s claim concerning the title. Please note that only the Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy has the authority to confer such a title.
D’oh! Who thought that someone would check, right?
Oh, did I mention that Daniel Bernath, is going to be “Gregory Banks famous” in a few days? Well, he will.
Category: Phony soldiers
Everyone – if you haven’t already, check out the link in Tim Anderson’s Facebook posting. It’s pure gold – Bernath in all of his so-full-of-himself-he’s-about-to-explode glory. “i’m proud of my service in the TSA and I consider it more dangerous than my US Navy service.” Pure gold, I tell ya!
Mr. Bill, all I can say now is “Just when you thought he couldn’t get any more stupid or crazier…”
I’ve sent Jonn a few things by email already, but rather than take up his time with email, it’s time for me to stop lurking.
Ohhhhh Danny boi. How’s it feel to have someone figuratively reach down your throat, grab your bunghole and turn you inside out so that all the world can see how full of crap you are?
“Oh Danny boy…
The pipes the pipes are callin’,
For you to come
And pay the debt you owe,
It never ends
The things you stole
Can’t be replaced,
Oh Danny boy…
It must be awful just a being you,
But come ye back
When ere yur ass
Ain’t throobbin’,
When all is done and
Your head’s a hangin’ low,
Oh Danny boy, oh Danny boy
I’m sooooo glad…
I…ain’t….YoUUUUUUU!”
Here’s hoping you get some rest Danny Bernath. We all need good rest and you especially will need all the rest you can get.
“It’s I’ll be heeere,
When sunshine blows,
Right out your arse,
Oh Danny Boy, Oh Danny Boy..
I Lo… I Lo…I…aw crap I couldn’t say if I meant it! 😀
here’s to you Danny boy Bernath.
@ OAE. Bout time. Lurking is ghey!
I own Bernath!
Gee, there was a full moon last night. I fully expected to hear howls of anguish coming to me on the western winds, but nothing.
Nothing, I tell you.
Nothing, not one tiny noise came from someone who decided to label travelers as whining babies in those posts on the ‘flyer talk’ forum, at the same time glorifying himself and exaggerating what the TSA may/may not prevent.
Boy the fights bernuttsless likes to pick with everyone around him are coming home to roost, aren’t they?
You know what reincarnation is, bernastypantsman? It’s that part of the cycle of life where you have to keep coming back over and over again until you learn how to do things right. It’s especially hard on assholes like you because you never learn how to do it right. The only thing you learn how to do is piss off everyone around you, and you’re REALLY good at it.
Watch out for tsuanmis over there in your beach property in Tigard. Those tidal waves can fly right over the mountains, you know. Did you see ‘2012’, the movie?
Ex-PH2 – I just checked the Navy Times web site, nothing yet.
Waiting with bated breath. Will be interesting to see if bernasty pops up somewhere afterwards to defend himself.
Hey, bernasty…do you know what the word “INCOMING” means?
Marine__7002, you know when you’re on watch, and you just get that feeling that you’re being watched, but you don’t see anything because the moon isn’t up yet?
That’s why we humans must exercise patience.
@Master Chief I’m popping the popcorn in preparation for this knuckleheads appearance in Navy Times. I love stories with happy endings.
@59 Ex my momma said “Patience is a virtue”. I hope she was right cause if she was, I am getting more virtuous these days.
About 2/3rds of the way down the page, it sounds like he’s trying to say he has PTSD because of the USS Pueblo. Can we get some Pueblo crewmembers to include in the upcoming dogpile?

March 23, 2008
Dear Sirs or Madams:
I am a disabled United States Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and the Cold War. I am rated at 90% disabled by the US Department of Veterans Affairs. I suffer from PTSD, Depression and neuropathy, to name a few because of my service during the Vietnam War and during the capture of the USS Pueblo by the North Korea Communists/show of force by the US Navy thereafter and other encounters with the Soviet Navy and Air Force in the Cold War, serving in both the Atlantic Fleet and Pacific Fleet of the US Navy. http://www.yorktownsailor.com/yorktown/pueblo.htm
I am a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the USS Yorktown Association and operate a website that is a tribute to the service of those great aviators and sailors in wartime.http://www.YorktownSailor.com
Because of my war times service and injuries I move much more slowly than before. I use one to two crutches at all times because if I do not I will fall over into a wall or onto the floor. My handwriting has deteriorated to the point where I can barely read it. Working on the flight deck of two aircraft carriers with screaming jet engines and no ear protection has affected my hearing, among other things.
Umm…please correct me if I am mistaken, but since when did VA disable anyone at 90%? Isn’t 80% or 100% depending on injuries?
I ask because I was rated 100% a few years ago but before that it was 80% as I still had all my limbs, eyes and hearing…
Can someone please explain to me?
I’m surprised he’s not claiming he was on the original Yorktown at Midway during WWII.
OMFG Daniel A. Bernath, YOU UNFORTUNATE PHALLIC HEDGE SCULPTURE! I can not wait to see your ass in flames…You want to pretend to have PTSD? Be glad its Master Chief and not me coming for you, you gawd damn piece of shit! By the time we are done with you, you really will have some form of PTSD!! Stoopid son of a Chub Toad!
He wants people to believe that in the 1960s, the flight deck crews had no hearing protection? Nice try. I know better.
Here’s a little bit of info about the DoD’s programs related to hearing conservation:
The introduction of the jet engine to the military in the late 1940s and early 1950s raised new concerns about noise hazards and helped motivate the development of military hearing conservation programs (Nixon, 1998). The Air Force, the Navy (which also has responsibility for the Marine Corps hearing conservation program), and the Army issued regulations or guidelines on hearing conservation in 1948, 1955, and 1956, respectively (Department of the Air Force, 1948; Department of the Navy, 1955; Department of the Army, 1956).
Note the dates: all post-WWII.
Here’s a link to the history of aircraft carriers, this page has photos with captions.
http://www.navy.mil/navydata/ships/carriers/cv-hist5.html
Scroll down to the color photo dated Dec. 14, 1961. Note that the crewman is wearing the Mickey Mouse earmuffs, to block the flight deck noises.
Here’s a link to the Vietnam war stories blog, with a large, well-defined shot of the flight deck of the Coral Sea in 1966, and the deck crew, all wearing hearing protection. http://vietnamwarstories.wordpress.com/find-a-buddy/
And furthermore, he was NOT involved in ANY in-country activities. His deployment was entirely on the Kearsarge for a few months, followed by the Yorktown until he was sent to the reserves in 1970.
Go to Scotty’s blog. It has bertnutsless’s duty assignments included. He’s SO good at making up stories, he should be classified as the author of pathetically bad fiction.
Are there any more ridiculous stories – lies – he has up his slimy sleeves?
Jeez, this guy is a total fucking chode.
Oooooh! NHSparky!
Go to the newest and most revolting Navy SEAL, while you’re at it.

This people get more and more sickening every day.
@Ex-PH2 I’m doing a marathon Google-fu session using search terms like “dan bernath” “dan a bernath” “daniel bernath” “daniel abernathy” “ussyorktown dan” “tsawatch” to see what other outlandish things I can find. If I find anything new I’ll post the links here.
Something way back in my ol spidy senses is telling me that Bernath would not want to have stood at attention in front of your desk trying ‘splain his stupid self to the T.C. *ahem* Just saying…
We will wwait till early next week. Navy navigates by the stars … Everything must be aligned. Many moving parts.

He appears to be a prolific (i.e. spewing a lot of crap) commenter. That link show’s he’s made 471 comments on all sorts of things. Here’s a sample

Enjoy!
Don’t you have to have an extensive physical to get a pilot’s license?
When did he get his last license before he ran out of gas and crashed?
Would the FAA have that physical on file?
Who would have given him the physical? A regular doctor or someone at the VA?
Would the FAA give a license to someone who is rated disabled with the VA?
If would be interesting if the FAA subpeonaed his VA medical records.
The VA OIG and the FAA might want to have lunch.
Clams, I believe that the FAA requires a specific flight physical by and FAA-approved physician. OWB did bring that up on the original thread, http://valorguardians.com/blog/?p=38816
What’s worse is that bernastypantsman interfered with the FAA/NTSB investigation into the crash of his CT plane. Now, that could mean that he may have been hiding insurance fraud, too, which is a felony in most states. That has to be investigated.
But the ‘tangible benefit’ phrase in the 2013 SV Act is one thing that comes to my mind, as some people claiming Purple Hearts, for example, are given PH license plates in some states at no charge (meaning loss of revenue for the state) and they are also given handicapped placards for parking in handicapped-designated parking, when in fact, they are not handicapped at all. Those are two ‘tangible benefits’ that I can think of.
Ask, ye shall receive:
http://www.faa.gov/pilots/become/medical/
@75 Clamsgotlegs (I love that name), I don’t think a rigorous physical is required for the Sport Pilot license as it is for others. I don’t believe the FAA keeps a copy of the physicals, I could be wrong about that though. Whether one gets a license is dependent on the disability and whether the person can show that they can safely operate an aircraft within the regs. I knew an old WW2 pilot, legally blind, who rebuilt an old Stearman from the ground up. He took his check ride with an examiner and was issued (reissued actually) a restricted license stating he must fly with another able bodied pilot. It was one of the happiest days of his life when he took that old bird up with his wife.
@75.
“Who would have given him the physical? A regular doctor or someone at the VA?”
The VA are clowns and unqualified in many cases.
Scary and sad.
I don’t think bernutsless actually needs those crutches, since there are plenty of photos of him not using them. But when you’re a liar-liar and your pants are on fire, anything goes. Right?
Maybe I should look at that video of the guy enjoying a deep relationship with the grill of someone else’s vehicle. It lifts my spirits.
For a flight physical it would be a specific doctor who is authorized to give flight physicals by the FAA.
Thanks everybody…
Except for that vision that Ex-PH2 had to give me before I hit the sack.

@63 – TC, a person’s overall VA rating moves in increments of 10%. Depending on a person’s individual disabilities, and the rating given to each, it is possible to have an overall rating of 90%. Now, saying it is possible to have an overall 90% rating is not the same as saying that Bernath is telling the truth when he says that HE has a 90% rating.
In my opinion, Bernath is due less deference than President Reagan gave the Soviet Union, when he applied the maxim “trust, but verify.” With Bernath, in my opinion, it should be DON’T trust UNLESS and UNTIL you verify.

Shazam! Now featured on postcards. Danny Boi is getting quite the reputation, lots of fame, and becoming quite reknowned. Too bad that it all negative publicity and that he has been the operator of the mixing spoon.
8 postcards for a measly 8 bucks. Whattadeal!

I see that Daniel-san likes to post a lot of comments on the Portland news sites.
Unless there’s any objection (which I suspect there’s not), is it ok if I paste his wanted page after every comment he makes?
@84 Mr. Bill
Thank you for the information…its been a long while since I got my rating, so wasn’t sure…
Hey Danny baby..How’s it going? Are you enjoying your new fame as Daniel A. Bernath, UNFORTUNATE PHALLIC HEDGE SCULPTURE? I hope so…
Have a nice day!

Anonymous Yelp Users Face Identity Disclosure
By LORRAINE BAILEY
(CN) – Yelp must identify seven anonymous reviewers who left negative reviews for a carpet-cleaning business, a Virginia appeals court ruled.
With approximately 102 million unique visitors every month, the Yelp website allows users to post and read reviews of local businesses. Anyone who posts a review is required to have actually been a customer of the business in question, pursuant to Yelp’s Terms of Service.
To review a business on Yelp, a user must register and provide Yelp with a valid email address. While Yelp does not require users to register with their real name, it records the IP address of every user who posts.
In July 2012, Yelp displayed 75 reviews of Hadeed Carpet Cleaning in Alexandria, Va., a number of which were negative.
After finding no record that the reviewers were actual Hadeed customers from a review of its customer database, Hadeed claimed that the negative reviews were false and defamatory.
The business sued the John Doe authors of seven critical reviews and subpoenaed Yelp to learn the identities of the anonymous reviewers. Yelp repeatedly refused to respond to it, however, leading the trial court to hold Yelp in contempt.
On Tuesday, the Virginia Court of Appeals agreed, 2-1, that Yelp must identify the users accused of defamation.
While “an internet user does not shed his free speech rights at the log-in screen,” the right to speak with anonymity is not absolute, Judge William Petty said for the majority.
Sooooo, Daniel-san was called out in the comments section of this news article http://www.kgw.com/news/Portland-teachers–district-continue-talks-245842891.html?fb_comment_id=fbc_250436608461255_678615_250558601782389#f3371cd2d24a63c
He replied back with words to the effect that we were funny (sorry, I didn’t get a screenshot)
He was asked if he denied what was in the posts on here, and suddenly he deleted his comments.
To paraphrase a quote from the movie Tombstone…..
So run, you cur… RUN! Tell all the other curs the real veterans are comin’!
You tell ’em we’re coming… and hell’s coming with us, you hear?…
Hell’s coming with us!
Is it time yet to add a list of people from the Yorktown who may have actually known bernutsless and what he was REALLY like? As a disclaimer, the thought did occur to me that they might prefer to not be reminded.
Here’s the deal, bernastyypantsman: Karma is a bitch with sharp teeth. It appears that you’ve spent your entire life screwing up and lying to cover your ass about it, and now?
Well, Karma is protecting those who don’t do that from sleazoids like you.
Didn’t he also mention being on the Kearsarge? I wonder if anyone from there would remember him?
@59 PH2 – yeah, you’re right. I need to be a bit more patient. The anticipation reminds me of Christmas Eve. heh
Re: flight physicals – a 3rd class flight physical (the lowest class of physical) is little more than a test to be sure you’re breathing, can stay upright for at least a short period of time without falling over, and are using corrective lenses if you need them (I exaggerate, but not by much). It’s such a joke that there’s now a bill in Congress to eliminate them for recreational pilots who fly visual flight rules and don’t fly for hire.
Yeah, it’s late, got home at 2 AM from work and had to shovel six inches of more white *$%&@&*!!!! off the driveway. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Marine__7002, and my next door neighbor, whose command of English is somewhat less than my command of Spanish (no slight intended) shoveled snow over the vent opening to my clothes dryer, so I had fun digging that out. But not ONE frozen pipe this time. Enough snow has fallen to block the wind chill and keep the house toasty warm.
Hey, bernutsless, you’re still a boring, self-centered little weasel who has never accomplished anything more than stealing work from other people, and pissing lots of people off at you. That’s your whole lifetime history and it’s documented, you imbecile.
You’re an asshole, bernutsless. You always have been and always will be.
Turd Gurgler
Gee … TAH being threatened with a law suit; I don’t suppose that’s ever happened here, has it? [/sarcasm]
According to the “Anonymous Yelp Users Face Identity Disclosure” article attached to post #90, the people posting negative reviews of Hadeed’s business were not customers and were, therefore, making bonafide false statements. I wonder who has been making false statements in regard to Dan’s case/career? The article is a non sequitur:
1. Negative comments re Hadeed were false
2. Hadeed’s business was hurt because of comments
3. Therefore TAH negative comments about Dan are false
@TAH legal-eagle, question: when does discovery come into the legal process; id est: when does Dan have to prove his bona fides are, in fact, bonafide?
