Scotty sent this picture to us last night and I put in on our Facebook page, hoping it would disappear, but apparently it hasn’t. Bird sent it to us this morning, too. It’s former Private Joshua Klohr who is protesting his discharge from the Marine Corps. The folks at Americans Against the Tea Party have a big document dump of his serious whining about being tossed from the Corps. I didn’t read it, because just looking at the picture, I know why they booted his ass.

I don’t know what happened to this guy but a google-fuski of his name provides hit to USMC court dockets on which his name appears. The charges seem to be related to disobeying a lawful order and his rank is listed as E-5. I’m guessing that the CM resulted in his beef and the Good Friday greeting card pic.
I read through the documents at the link and couldn’t understand what this douche had done until the summaries of his prosecution were appended at the end.
Having said that this-“…he still feels that he was wrong in being court marshaled…”-shows what kind of keen legal minds write for “Americans against the Tea Party”.

OK — someone really needs to see if it is the same guy — I believe it might be and if it is — how did he get in the Marine Corps to begin with? I’ve worked for recruiting before (Air Force, not Marines) but we pull a criminal records check and that should have been there if it was the same guy. And setting a cat on fire and throwing it off the roof of a high school should have rung someone’s bells about his psychological capabilities to be a Marine.
It appears to be the same guy. His name is not a common name, he lived in and graduated High School in Colorado, same place as the cat incident. There is even a post from way-back where after joining, a former employer talks about what a good Marine he’ll make. Boy he missed that one.
He probably had letters or something vouching for him. At that time, Army needed people, not sure the Marines were hurting so much.
Just checked out his FB page — he is from the same place and graduated from the same high school as the guy in the incident!
I stopped reading when he spelled “manipulated” as “munipulated”. Obviously, he didn’t take the Spelling for Marines MCI.

If this douchebag had spent half the time recruiting as he’s spent on documenting his ‘persecution’ he would have been successful. In my three years on recruiting duty, I relieved exactly one recruiter for ‘inability to recruit’ and he could have talked me out of joining. Every other recruiter that didn’t make it was fired for 1)Dipping the DEP, 2) Fraud, 3) Generally being a lazy asshole, usually combined with #s 1, 2 or both.
I’m embarrassed that he is from my beloved 3rd Battalion, 11th Marines.

He was dishonorably discharged after a Special Court Martial. He illegally obtained personal files on high school kids he claimed he was trying to recruit as well as fraudulently enlisting several kids and other charges. He claims he loves the Corps but dishonors the uniform?
So basically he was manipulating his recruiting numbers to meet the quota so he could stay as a recruiter. Explains, if you look at his facebook messages, he doesnt really talk about what he did. He keeps using the “area was defeated” line. Refused to train, etc.
The sad thing is he’s marketing and defending his product – a form of a beer cozie too. So is this about his lies or selling a product??
Apparently, he was reviewing student records illegally and requested the court martial. He could have admitted his mistake and marched on, but he fought the charges and lost.
He is at least right about one thing. His pride made him do stupid things.
I’m still not sure what he did. The Marines attract outstanding people but there are always a few shitbirds that slip in. They can create havoc in a unit. Best to get rid of them. He obviously is one of those.
Taurus USMC 0302…me too. Best I can make it out, he willfully disobeyed a lawful order from a senior NCO. That seems to be the main charge. Behind it are allegations and/or charges of wrongful recruiting practices. That’s the best I could glean from his Facebook page. That whole, “disobeying a lawful order” will get you every time. Recruiters, in my mind should be and show the best to young prospects and the community they serve it. I guess this guy missed that briefing.
They offered NJP, he pushed for Court Martial and was counseled of the risks…. dude lost and now he cries? Another turd flushed from the Corps….
Thats exactly what I read from that facebook message he got. They offered a NJP. He was going to be knocked down to Corporal and he took it a step further. Because he was doing what he believed in. Then he refused to train people or something like that.

This guy seems kinda insane. He could have just taken the NJP and worked his way back to doing what he was doing. He took the risk and had to know it was stupid move. Now he wants to do this stuff? Parallel himself to a religious figure? I don’t think this kid knows his role in the military.

The more I look at him and his antics, the more convinced I get that his Superiors realized he’s a wacko, and his Court Martial request gave them an express lane of an avenue to whisk him out of the USMC!

One, if I leave today, there will be a dozen men stepping forward in the ranks and no one will miss me and two, I am no more important than anyone or anything else, to include my weapon, my rucksack and any of my issue. Do my job, do my part, don’t think more highly of myself than I aught and simply obey orders and serve. That is what I joined for…so serve my country and not to serve myself.

He apparently didn’t hear the old saw, if you’re guilty take NJP, if you’re innocent, ask for the Court Martial.
When I was a Company Commander, the JAG Office would not let me proceed with an Article 15 until they were convinced that the individual was guilty and could be convicted in a Court Martial. Only a moron would take the CM, it has a much bigger hammer and it goes on your “permanent record”.
GunzRunner…That’s what I don’t get. He knew they had him dead to rights. Had it been me, I would have signed the NJP and taken my lumps and continued my career. Although an Article 15 isn’t the best thing to approach the promotion board with. But he would still be in the Marines. I have seen NJPs have little effect on promotions and I have seem them be career stoppers. It all depended on the the charge and the troops later attitude and performance to overcome the adversity. If a troop straightened his shit out and went the extra mile, it was taken into account. I think this guy was stupid to the Nth degree to go to Court Martial for that offense. I was not a Marine and I don;t know how they look at NJP as compared to the Army and Air Force. Most commanders I knew who handed out NJP, were very big on redemption of a good troop and helped as much as possible.
With the drawdown and all, he wouldn’t stand a chance. Especially with the GC (Grade Change) fitness report, even if he made it back to Sgt (unlikely, he had two years left on contract, would have been in the same location, same attitude(most likely) and probably would not have shown improvement).
I got it! He’s waiting for Dorothy to come along, get him down and take him to Oz to get some…brains. Even the Wizard, has his limits.

It looks like the “blood stripe” on his left leg is half-way ripped away and dangling down. Is that also his SSGT stripes (right shoulder) that looks partially ripped away (looks like the reverse side of a patch)?

Like many of you, I looked at that jumbled up junk he was putting out as his “manifesto”. The lack of logic and any sort of reason made my head hurt.

Now I avoided recruiting duty like the plague when I was on active duty. I went the drill instructor route. I knew I would be a shitty recruiter. But if I had received orders, especially as a Sergeant, I would have tried to be the best fucking recruiter in the Corps. His mistake was thinking he was above the law.

One of the documents he put on his Facebook page was a letter of Separation Indebtedness to the tune of $6,095.23. Reason given was for Overpayment of unearned enlist or reenlist bonus. The debt has been turned over to the Collections Center at DFAS-IN and could include interest,penalties and administrative costs. I wonder how many of those Hulk Hand Fist-Lit Drink Cozies he’ll have to sell to repay the debt. I’m betting a shit load.

If I understand it correctly, he was a shitbird recruiter who got popped for using less than legal means and then refused to obey orders not once, but four separate times. Now he’s whining because he demanded a courts martial that he lost. Well, after doing not much digging, I found this news article about two men, one named Joshua Klohr, who were arrested for setting a cat on fire. If this is the same guy, which I believe it is, then his special brand of fucking nuts goes back a long way. The Corps is better off without this whiny nutjob who has the IQ of a rotten turnip. And what the hell is this “movement” he’s trying to start? Again, it was hard reading through his semi-literate ramblings, but it appears almost cultish with this guy making himself out to be some messianic figure who is going to set the world right.
My prediction is that this fucker is not going to get all of the positive publicity he thinks he will for his little stunt. And so when this backfires, much like his decision to take a court martial vice NJP, what is a messiah to do? Take teh crazy up a notch is my guess.
