Wanted: Gregory Banks
The Round Ranger was such an internet hit, Guy put together another wanted poster for our buddy Greg Banks, who is going to be famous in Connecticut tonight. Greg’s back story is that he’s one of those rare phonies who never served but promoted himself to an Army Major and awarded himself the Bronze Star Medal a few weeks ago. He claims that someone stole his identity, but apparently the identity thief also stole his face. Greg doesn’t have the gonads to call me himself, so he sent his teenage phony Marine after me. But here is his wanted poster. Is this enough attention for you, Greg?

Many thanks for the kudos. Truth be told …(hat in hand, looking down at my feet) … I “plagiarized” the poster design from an FBI wanted poster. It was concise and presented important information clearly. But I changed details.
So …. I’m a fraud — I admit it was not my design and I apologize to anyone who might be offended (of my “plagiarism”, not offended that the poster busts the poser).

Guy, no plagiarism involved. All you did was take a template that we all own, altered it to fit the needs of the Stolen Valor Hunter community and gave it to us to use.
Sure, it would be nice to have such for every one of the cowards who steal our valor. BUT, expecting it would be taking advantage of Guy. On the other hand, as he sees fit, can we encourage him to set some criteria of misdeeds or something for which he would automatically or upon request generate one of his posters?

PH2 is indeed E5. (Not Navy myself, but I’ve learned a bit about their rate structure over the years.) For a “Navy-speak” critique, I’d s suggest MCPO NYC, Ex-PH2, and NHSparky. Each served in the Navy, and each is quite knowledgeable – and quite eloquent with respect to the proper use of nautical/Navy-themed insults. (smile)

Would you consider adding a black bar across the bottom (like the one at the top) that says “STATE OF ______”? As in “STATE OF NEW YORK”. Not only does it sound/look official, but it might cause Joe Citizen from a particular state to pause and send it to their friends/peers and inquire as to if they know the poser. As they say, “the best targeting is precise targeting”.
