Soup's baby brother

Someone sent us this picture at our Facebook page. He seems to be this dude. I’m sure he’s wearing someone else’s uniform to honor their service. Or something. He looks like a future police chief.

Future police chief…..LMAO…….Future EX-police chief!

Old Tanker

Um….yeah….

I think he fell into the ribbon bin at the local surplus store…..Air Force rank on an….well, I have no idea about the jacket but that looks like an Army cap on his nugget…

Pam

Oh, look… a little kid playing dress up! Knucklehead.

Old Trooper

This one’s so pathetic, it’s not worth getting whipped up about. Little boy playing dress up.

NHSparky

Look closely at his left hand…is that shoe cleaner he’s huffing?

Son of Soupy?

LebbenB

Look at the cut of the coat. Is that an Ike jacket he’s wearing? And only one “US” on the lapel…THIS is what happens when posers breed amongst themselves.

Planet Ord

I find it interesting how these retards always want more ribbons than a 20 star Mexican General would have, so they have to find room to wear them by wearing them offset, on a pocket, over the right breast, etc.

Big red flag. Jackasses.

Regarding honoring their relatives…put their awards in a shadow box, for Christs sake! Hang it on a wall. I’d never dream of wearing my relatives BSM, PH or DFC, AM, or any other medal.. They’d kick my ass if they knew I’d done that.

Thunderstixx

Truly an example of the higher thinking Chair Force Wart Heroes !!!

LebbenB

Maybe he got all those ribbons for flying drones and “catching teh PTSD” from it.

Hondo

Awww, that’s so cute. Some little boy found Daddy’s uniform and his military ribbon and insignia collection and decided to play “dress up”.

Sparks

That’s a 1950’s “Ike” jacket style uniform like my dad wore then. He looks like he was run over by the supply truck on the way to the PX. One enlisted lapel insignia. Officer’s hat insignia. This guy is a jewel. Wish he had been in the running for this year. For an officer/staff sergeant he has a lot of fruit salad. Some of them I see twice

NHSparky

I remember this one time, at band camp…

Nicki

Holy crap. Thatisall.

ChipNASA

Must be two comment sections but I already posted this…

SO SO many things wrong here….where do I start.
This faded piece of crap looks like it’s from 1960 or earlier…stained…no buttons? What is it VELCRO? only one collar US, *multiple* duplicate ribbons on each rack, Officers Cover insignia, (Enlisted have the circle around it.)
From the 1960s to now there have been *no* service dress blue dress uniform tops that even look REMOTELY like this.
This HAS to be someone’s BAD idea of a Halloween costume.
(No BUTTONS AT ALL, TOTALLY LEGIT!) 😀

http://usafeenlistedheritage.org/history/uniforms/

ChipNASA

It is an Ike jacket from what I can see although it looks a bit too long (bad photo) but I hadn’t ever seen one with no buttons until I googled it and was both….

ChipNASA

1949 to 1964.
Just a hair before my time LOL!!

Planet Ord

Is that a DFC with olc inboard on bottom row? This guy really did some high speed stuff to rate that many awards that are more important than that one.

On closer inspection, he has two more with olc higher up. Horrible.

MCPO NYC USN (Ret.)

Cut him some slack. He is from Oklahoma!

His story kinda goes like this:

“There was a SPF Level 4 tarnadoe that blew through my trailer park … you sea. When I woked up thare was deebreeze every where as far as my fore eyes could sea. The tarnadoe blew this hear uniform and all the metals on to me. In honor of all Okkies veterans I decided to were it around town.”

REAL DEAL!

Joe Williams

Not to mention no service stripes. Joe

ChipNASA

Joe,
Just FYI, I the USAF doesn’t have service stripes. They give us ribbons for service time. ( Air Force Longevity Service Award and the Armed Forces Reserve Medal for Reservists.)
I have both.

UpNorth

“more ribbons than a 20 star Mexican General”. Thanks for that image, Ord. Still chuckling over it.

LostOnThemInterwebs

@14 multiple ribbons, LoL!

I personally love how I’m totally ignorant of the ribbons and I spotted 3 navy crosses all in different places

At least he didn’t try the “phony tower of power”: SEAL, Ranger, 1CAV with multiple purple hearts and CAB 😛

But I need another picture to figure everything out I need to see his back, by the way his fruit salad is going I’m certain he did manage to pin some on his back (occupational hazard of standing up)

PS I just showed his picture to the girl I’m visiting she knows NOTHING about military at all and she said “Dafuq is that?! he is just wrong why he has so many medals? he must have done a lot of sh1t and laughed at him” This shows me … most ppl have NO sense at all .. took her literally 5 seconds so …

LostOnThemInterwebs

@21 for your amusement I give you an old Mexican President: Porfirio Diaz

http://mexicanhistory.org/diaz.jpg

Golly G. Willikers

His glasses look too modern. Shouldn’t he be wearing those kickass black rim glasses they had back then to help pull off the look?

ChipNASA

@23…

Let’s not forget the NORK Generals…..(I know it’s been ‘shooped a little” but you get the idea.

FatCircles0311

Looks like this war hero man beast demi god ended the lives of 4 different service members and just like the Highlander took all the power of their ribbon stacks cumulatively to become more powerful.

ChipNASA
LostOnThemInterwebs

@25 those NORK Generals!!! *raises first and shakes it* you win this time .. but SOOON!!!!!!!!!! 😛 (http://www.toonpool.com/user/589/files/the_generals_medals_1005545.jpg)

OWB

Oh my, this one is just sad.

Green Thumb

That uniform looks old.

Planet Ord

@25, wow! On their pants?

Sparks

@30 That uniform is the “Ike” jacket version my father wore in the Air Force in the 50’s and 60’s. Went out for the full blouse around ’64. He has one, not two enlisted collar insignias and an officers wheel hat insignia. I can’t begin to make sense of all the ribbons, there are so many duplicates. But as someone else said, he may be high speed Air Force but at least he hasn’t found a SEAL emblem yet or a CIB.

Anonymous

NCO’s Ike jacket 1949- 64, company grade (or whatever the AF equivalent is) officer’s cap up to ’93 (when they changed to the U.S. Airline pattern Merrill McFreak liked instead)… kid, put away your dad’s stuff so he don’t get mad.

LebbenB

@18. I currently live in OK. How can you tell a native Oklahoman from everybody else?

When the tornado siren goes off, everybody else runs to the storm shelter. The native Oklahoman goes outside with a lawn chair and a six-pack of Natty Light or Keystone

O-4E

Sadly…that isn’t too far off the mark for your typical Air Force guy with a couple of years in.

Twist

@34,Minus the beer, kinda sounds like an Infantryman on a FOB when the incoming siren goes off.

David

@34 – we used to climb up on the roof of the house in Lawrence KS when the sirens went off with a quart or two – it faced southwest. As long as the tornado was headed away from you on the ground it was OK, if it was headed straight for you or lifted into the air so you couldn’t see where it was going – time to geddouttathere.

Roger in Republic

Check out his Facebook page. Under Books, two of his favorites are porn sites. Not books, interweb sites. Oh! and he looks like a biker wanna be. I hope he is a 10th degree black belt in Ninja or something because he is not the least bit physically intimidating. He needs the service connection to strengthen his badass bono-fidis. All around pathetic individual.

KF

Damn.. this young NCO has more ribbons that a Russian Admiral.

Smaj

DOUBLE the badass! Or twice as pathetic.

Veritas Omnia Vincit

did he say he was ex-military or is this some kind of halloween or party get up…I’m not seeing on his site where he claims service…

he’s dressed like a f#cking clown in the photo for sure, but I am not getting a sense of context from this numb nut…

Retired Master

Is this turd wearing a white shirt? WTF is on the shirt collar. Looks like a coupla spiders

ChipNASA

@42…I looked at that too and I’m seeing some kind of, maybe, fleur de lis???
/WTF?

LebbenB

@36. As I think on it, yeah, I’ve done that more than a time or two.

PintoNag

That looks like the results of an attic trunk raid — a ver old attic trunk, at that. Plus maybe a wild shopping spree on eBay.

Instinct

Just makes me think of this

Make Mine Moxie

@ #5, “Son of Soupy” made me laugh so hard at work that I snorted.

Enigma4you

I am almost positive that this is an older picture 70s maybe that was scanned.

Enigma4you

Yep save the image to your computer then look. A buddy of mine that does photo restoration took a look. He says its a scan, the original pic was done with a 35mm fixed focus camera. Probably one of the old drop in cartridge Instamatic.

Its sad but my bet is this pic is 30 plus years old. I wouldn’t get to worked up about it.

AverageNCO

Well 30 years ago that jacket was still out-dated and the fruit salad would still be train wreck. 30 years ago, the AF still required US insignia on both lapels, and a SSgt couldn’t wear an officer’s wheel cap. 30 years old or not, the guy in the photo is teh stupid.
