Leo Louis Dunson Jr. makes a fashion statement
So what do you do if you want to make an album of patriotic songs, but the uniform of your chosen branch of service isn’t “bling” enough? Well, just pin your finery to another service’s uniform for your album cover like Army SGT Leo Louis Dunson Jr. does;
I think it’s a Navy Mess uniform. Those look like Navy buttons, but I’m not sure;
Anyway, the folks at POW Network sent us the picture for your Humpday chuckle.

A Navy coat that’s much too big, no less. I’m still trying to figure out if he thinks he’s saluting or if the camera’s lighting is just too bright.
His hearts in the right place, but as an NCO, he should know better.
No, just no.
Wondering if he was even wearing that white uniform, or if maybe some artistic type might have altered a real pic of him to “look better?” Lot of variables on who can decide the pub stuff for an album.
I dunno. It sure looks dumb.
IF he was an NCO. Frankly, no self-respecting person would attempt this shit. Seriously.
And yes, those are “choker whites”, only authorized for CPO’s and Officers, not E-6 and below.
Here is a link to a webpage that is more dignified.

The photo in the white uniform is laughable. If he’s serious about a career, he needs to get a new image consultant. One that can pass an eye test.
@5: Well, Shamar Thomas wore his shit all cocked-up to show the cops how real he was.
Actually, I tabbed through his website and found some other pretty disturbing photos. Not Stolen Valor stuff, just clownish crap.
OT–and most of the cops (at least the ones who were veterans) thought he was a joke too.
One thing I did notice from last weekend–anyone in the NYPD ever hear of a treadmill?
And I notice he put in the PTSD claim. Sigh, time to pull out another FOIA form.
Last thing–anyone think that “salute” looks more fucked up than the Jon Carry “reporting for duty” wave at the eyes? Jesus, again, no self-respecting NCO does that kind of shit.
Wow he took about every unit award the Army has, and put it on there. And look at that salute! Its like he’s trying to cover his eyes from the brilliance of his awesomeness.
And this is why Jail time in a federal supermax for stolen valor is sounding better and better
Damn, his bio even reeks of third grade grammar.
His “song” titled “PTSD” contains the line “Now I know why most terrorists are U.S. veterans.”
Fuck this asshole.
IF you go to the main page of his site, you’ll surely be treated by his musical donation to #Occupy….
Someone piping in here to tell us we’re all racists in 3…2…1…
You’re all racists.
Six minutes. Slipping. Badly.
Sorry, couldn’t resist.
The Army does have a white dress and a white mess uniform. At least it used to, but I don’t think either had a choker collar.
It’s unfortunate, a veteran NCO infantryman with a CIB, kind of stupid really.
Not sure if his wearing the incorrect uniform is on the level of some of the Macbeth nominees, seems more like those other entertainers with their mishmash of military type uniforms when they perform at times.
The line from his bio that had me fall out of my chair is this one.
“Where he was placed in the 172nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 1st Battalion 17th Infantry Regiment, Bravo Company, 1st Platoon, 3rd Squad, Bravo Team (I Have No IDEA WHAT THE FUCK THAT MEANS, but he Said The Military people would).”
IS that a Navy Sea Service ribbon, middle bottom row?
Ever see the name plate on a dress uniform have the rank and the last name? I haven’t.
He has SSG stripes on the cover but he is labled as a SGT.
I don’t think he is for real. No one, espically an NCO salutes like that. I bet it turns out he never even served.
I was just over at his Merchandising page and all I can say is that I’ve got to have one of those SGT Dunson mousepads.
After doing a bit of looking around it seems Sgt. Dunson got his ass in a crack while deployed, He planted a Live grenade in the trunk of a car at a check point and thought it would be funny to prank the driver.

This Piece of shit needs to be tossed in prison. I bet he suddenly got a case of PTSD after he realized how fucked he was
Wow, just wow. Those are Navy choker whites and that is a Navy Sea Service Deployment Ribbon as well as a Korean Defense Medal on his bottom row. You also don’t wear a name tag with chokers or any awards on the right side of your jacket, not to mention saluting uncovered or indoors.
Forget the stolen valor stuff…listen to some of his “music”. That should be enough to get him thrown into Leavenworth.
enigma for you #25; Live grenades are always funny regardless of the context.
Jesus wept…….
Claymore, you racist lol

I took a close look at the uniform again as well as the ribbons. I do believe its a Coast Guard Dress white, it also looks like the bottom row of ribbons are coast guard as well. I confirmed its a coast guard uniform with a close friend of mine that is owns a tailor shop that does uniforms, she also pointed out that he has several Korea Era ribbons and Citations
I’m wagering that he collected all of the Unit Awards from his time in service and is stupid enough to believe could wear them a permanent awards…..as opposed to the people who actually served and earned them.
here is ass hat in part of a marine uniform

That’s the Army Service Ribbon, not the Navy Sea Service. Those are all Army awards, despite being on a Navy uniform for some reason, though it is awfully rare to see an E-5 with an MSM or BSM. He even has them all in the correct order of precedence. At first I gave him the benefit of a doubt pertaining to the unit awards and started to look up his old unit. Then I remembered that the Korean PUC is a temporary award regardless, as is the JMUA, unless you were with the unit when it was earned. In my experience, it is rare to see a line Infantry unit awarded the JMUA, and there is no mention of such an award in the lineage and honors of 1/17 IN.
Bottom three (left-right): Army NCOPD Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Army Overseas Ribbon; all gimmes for an E-4 or higher with a deployment who has completed Warrior Leaders Course.
#33, That’s exactly what I was thinking. It’s surprising how many Soldiers don’t know the difference between permanent and temporary unit awards.
Interestingly, there is no Leo Louis Dunson on AKO, Active duty, Reserve or “Other.” I suppose if he’s completely out there might not be an AKO address for him.
@37 – I looked on AKO as well. As far as I know, once you separate [as opposed to retire] you can either get a dependent AKO account, or must have a sponsor if working as a contractor.
Army is not like the Marine Corps, we call all our E-5 s through 7s “Sgt”, so that could be where he s getting his fucked up title/rank from.
I have an AKO account and I’ve been out since 1994. My name is spelled wrong, though. It took me thirteen years to get the Army to spell my name correctly and then as soon as I retired they went back to their retarded ways.
I can believe the ARCOM for a SGT in Iraq, and another for his ETS award, but an 11B20 with less than 6 years of service and one Iraq deployment (per his ribbon rack) would be hard pressed to gather all three. Also no Korea service medal, so I’m not sure how he could have even temporally been awarded the Korean unit award. Also, not a whole lot of 11B20s with less than 6 years have been assigned to a joint unit, so the JMUC is also questionable.
Unfortunately,(if I were so inclined)I can fly any awards the MP’s were awarded in RVN/Korea(temporary or otherwise) be it company, battalion(504 MP), brigade(18th MP), division(1st Cavalry, 2ID, 7ID or 9thID)or Corps(III)level if I recall correctly. Since I chose not to do so and being out of the loop for so damn long, I tend to let such things slide.
I vaguely recall that officers and senior NCO had white dress mess uniform but had never seen them worn. Usually, dress blue’s with proper racks and or Class A’s….
@34: Part of a Marine Uniform?!?!!! Now that’s just taking this whole thing much to far. Keel-haul him!!!
At least he had the decency to not put the USMC emblems on it, the friggin asswipe dirtbag scum sucking shit-for-brains.
@43 Don’t hold back brother, tell us how you really feel 🙂
@34……WTFBBQ?!??!!
However….I do like his rap of shitting on Soulja Boy. Now there’s a punk that needs an ass-whuppin’.
OMG! What the flying fuckity fuck is THAT???????
I hope his music is better than his ate up outfit. Kind of looks like some kind of cook uniform….with a CIB and lots of Unit Citations….
I guess there truly is no such thing as bad publicity when I died bury me in this uniform. The funny thing is you guys watch hollywood movies with actors that’s never served dishonor your military service in every way but you applaud them. Your favorite musicians from Toby Keith, to Aerosmith, to 50 cent and Christina Aguliara had wore military uniforms of so type service medals of some type promoting that they are pro military and support our troops all while dishonor inf the uniform and our service in every way… Honestly none of this gets to me GOD is my only judge I just felt it was neccessary for me to write how y’all support everyone in the world but one of your own….
Find a post on this blog that applauds a celebrity for wearing a uniform. Post a link to it, and I’ll apologize for laughing at your idiocy.
