Live Updates: U.S. military blockade on Iranian ports in the Strait of Hormuz begins

A U.S. blockade of Iran’s ports and a partial blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, a chokepoint for shipments of oil, fertilizer and other vital goods, began at 10 a.m. EDT.Iran warned it would retaliate if the U.S. carried out the blockade of its ports, saying it would be illegal and, essentially, piracy. Tehran said no Gulf ports will be safe if traffic to and from its own is impeded.
The threats follow the failure of talks in Islamabad over the weekend to reach a peace agreement between the U.S. and Iran, with Pakistani mediators. Vice President JD Vance, who headed the U.S. delegation, said the main sticking point came down to Iran refusing to give up its nuclear ambitions.
CBS News has learned that Pakistan is pushing to get the U.S. and Iran to resume negotiations in an effort to get a peace accord before the current ceasefire runs out next week.

Iran played its hole card- claiming the Straights of Hormuz as sovereign territory, thereby holding the world’s energy consumers hostage and expected Trump’s team to make concessions. Instead they walked.
Their play was of course foreseen. Now Iran has no oil to export and just as importantly no POL coming in, as it has no organic refineries of its own. Now to let nature take its course right up until the cease-fire deadline expires.

Eric “Farticus/Mr. Fang” Swalwell get nuked, and the whistleblower documents showing it has hearsay and his communications with Schiff and ties to Biden directly were released.
I suppose the ceasefire timeline is being “honored” in order to resupply the ordinance used in the preceding weeks. IMO if it is not needed for that, hostilities should have resumed as soon as Vance left the negotiations. The iranian regime will not respect nor hold to any agreement as long as they are in charge and still breathing.
