Postal Worker Stops Scam
LONG BEACH, Miss. (WLOX) — A postal worker stopped a scam Tuesday and saved an older woman from mailing $25,000 to a scammer.
The money was stuffed in magazines inside a box about to be shipped to California.
Jennifer Tolbert owns Premier Postal in Long Beach. She noticed something off when she overheard the woman’s phone call.
“She had him on speakerphone. I could hear him speaking and hear his accent. At that point, I knew something didn’t sound right,” Tolbert said.
The woman was speaking with someone she believed was with the IRS. A scammer was taking advantage of her, convincing her to mail money to California to pay off a fake debt. With the tax deadline looming, the woman was terrified and felt she had to act immediately.
A quick shake of the package unveiled the truth of the situation.
“We always shake our packages to make sure there isn’t any extra space in the boxes. It was moving around inside. I asked her if I could open it and she said yes. When I opened it, at that point again I was like I need to make a phone call,” Tolbert said.
Tolbert called the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office.

The Department of Homeland Security and the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office are actively investigating this case. The money has been returned to the victim.

BZ Ms. Tolbert! Perhaps the DHS can make an arrest if the Dems ever fund the department.

Check out “Scammer Payback” on YouTube and Rumble. These scumbags get what’s coming to them when Pierogi and his crew turn the tables on them, destroying their computer systems with sophisticated (and proprietary) hacking techniques while taunting and embarrassing them. They also gather evidence during the process, including the scammers’ exact locations, which is then turned over to the authorities in India (to be ignored, usually).
Maybe Trump should save some smart bombs for call centers in India.
Works for me. Most of them are in West Bengal.
