President Trump delays big Iran attack and provides two-week extension
President Donald Trump gave Iran until 8 p.m. to come to a deal, or they would see massive destruction. Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz and Field Marshal Asim Munir reached out, asking for a two-week delay. Trump took to Truth Social to announce a double-sided ceasefire, postponing the bombing for two weeks. This would give negotiators to work on a framework towards a deal. President Trump claimed that Iran agreed to open the Strait of Hormuz and that the United States accomplished its military objectives.

Trump said the pause is conditional on Iran agreeing to the “complete, immediate, and safe opening” of the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global oil transit chokepoint that has been at the center of escalating tensions.
The president framed the move as a sign that U.S. military objectives have already been achieved, saying Washington has “met and exceeded all military objectives” and is now focused on finalizing a broader diplomatic agreement.
Trump said the United States has received a “10-point proposal” from Iran that he described as a “workable basis” for negotiations, adding that “almost all” major points of contention between the two sides have already been resolved.
He said the two-week window is intended to allow negotiators to “finalize and consummate” what he called a “definitive agreement concerning long-term peace with Iran, and peace in the Middle East.”
Trump also suggested the agreement would have wider regional implications, saying he was acting “on behalf of the United States” while also representing broader Middle East interests.

I don’t believe anything that comes out of the mouth of muslim.
The koran teaches its perfectly acceptable to lie to unbelievers and infidels.
It’s referred to as “taquiya”.
Kind of like moral relativism. Or being a socialist liberal democrat.
Here’s hoping it’s for real and the Iranian top echelons (What’s left of them) will hold up to what they say, maybe they’ll comply from fear of getting vaporized?

Two weeks is just enough time to get the ordnance restocked.
If I was the CinC, I wouldn’t have said we met all of our military objectives because now we will hear the screech of “war crimes” for every future bomb dropped for any reason. We will hear screeching anyway, but I don’t want to hear that particular screech.
Any accurate history would present this as Iran blinking but instead we will hear all sorts of stupid uninformed crap from people with an opinion and a bias but no facts. Now if only the Iranian people would grab their balls and do their part in this whole goat rope.
Something I read today indicated that firearms had been made available to civilians in Iran but someone didn’t follow through with getting them to the intended recipients.
Sorry to see Trump get suckered in with this 11th hour “deal”. Better that he would put it all back in motion at Iran’s first light and attribute it to a “technical glitch”.
OTOH, maybe a city-size nuclear device can be custom made for Tehran during the interim. They can test it on Dearborn and make any adjustments while Tehran buries their dead.
Sheesh, another story, today, states that the population of Iran is about 93 million.
