Watch: ICE impersonator brutally beaten by street mob, DHS says man not associated with agency

Story by Peter Pinedo
The Department of Homeland Security said that a man recently filmed dressed in what resembles a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement uniform being beaten next to a Honolulu street is not affiliated with the agency in any way.

A recent viral video showed a man wearing a tactical vest with the word “ICE” being punched and kicked on a street in Honolulu’s Waikiki neighborhood Saturday night. The video caused an uproar on social media amid heightened concerns about rising assaults on ICE agents and debate over whether officers should wear masks to protect their identities.

The video shows the man confronting a small group that throws liquid at him. Three individuals grab him, pull him to the ground and begin punching and kicking him. He eventually goes limp as one individual continues to pound his face while two others hold him. The man later gets up and stumbles away, appearing to have a bloody nose.

A DHS spokesperson told Fox News Digital in an emailed statement that despite the vest, “this person is NOT an ICE agent and is not connected to DHS in any way.”

The spokesperson did not offer any details on the true identity of the man but emphasized that “anyone caught impersonating a federal immigration agent will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

The Honolulu Police Department confirmed to Fox News Digital that a 15-year-old male is being charged with attempted assault in connection with the incident. The department shared a report that stated the suspect was originally arrested for second-degree assault, but that his charges were reduced to attempted assault.

Apparently HPD isn’t as onboard with the whole “fullest extent of the law” part as the Feds, surprise. More humor; in Hawaii “No Kings Day” was changed to “No Dictators Day” because you see, they actually have Kings there.

I’m not going to have some reporters pawing through our papers. We are the president.

Toxic Deplorable B Woodman

First of all, what was that ICE pretender doing?
Hawaii just got through being pounded by the worst rain storms in (fill in the blank) years. Noah would have been shaking his head in awe. The people are trying to recover, clear the debris, and rebuild.
And this joker comes along…..why?
He deserved every hit, punch, and kick.

Speaking of “kings” and “Hawaii”, it would be interesting to be able to go back in time and keep Hawaii a monarchy instead of a being a British colony, an American colony, and American state.
Would the native Hawaiians be better off, or worse off?
Only 59 stars on the US flag.
Needing a passport and visa to be allowed to vacation in paradise.
US military bases in the Pacific? Maybe? Maybe not? No Pearl Harbor attack?

It would be just like Moana, wouldn’t it? Never seen any of the movies, so I don’t know. I’ve listened to a few history videos recently that mention Hawaii and early Western interactions with the natives. It seems they had a decent enough society, and were known for their hospitality. Had the British and Americans never gone further than establish trade, and left the monarchy intact, how would they be faring in today’s world?

Don’t know. Never been and might never go. I had a slot lined up nearly 20 years ago, but Big Army had other plans. Personally, I like driving to different states and living in a place that’s gun friendly.

Take a look at some of the other Soloman Islands in the Pacific. You’ll see they aren’t really well developed and don’t have that much of an economy or a means for folks to really better themselves.

Yes, but which one is the “true” king? Or Queen?
