Texas Homeowner Shoots Alleged Burglar ‘To Death’
AWR Hawkins
An east Fort Worth, Texas, homeowner shot an alleged burglar “to death” Monday morning, according to the Forth Worth Star-Telegram.The homeowner allegedly heard the suspect trying to make entry into a garage and confronted him around 6:00 a.m., shooting at him. The suspect then “walked or ran from the house, collapsed and died on the sidewalk at the intersection of Avenue L and Bishop Street.”
Dallas Crime Breaking News noted that police discovered the alleged burglar had “a gunshot wound to the torso.”
WFAA pointed out that the homeowner indicated the alleged burglar came at him “aggressively” after being confronted, and that led to the shots being fired.

Wrong garage.
Texas has yet to learn submission to any oppression, come from what source it may.

Seems to me that if you want to stop someone from breaking into your home, and have the desire that they no longer try to enter your domicile without your express permission, that you have the right, if not the God given moral obligation, to rid the general population of the threat of further possible disturbance of the peace by the same individuals, or others of the same frame of mind by the use of the God provided compensation of the standard American FIREARMS!
And if you caint deal with wut I jus said, then y’ain’t got the brains god give a golldurn goat! So, there!
The suspect was just looking for stuffed animals to display while making a wrong turn and their tires were spinning on the Texas ice while taking their child to school. The shooter misrepresented the thug, who was backing away, as coming at him aggressively. There’s no such thing as garage doors and a Texan has no right to keep someone else ou…. Nope, I can’t make up any more of this BS. Sounds like the thug got what was coming to him.
Dude, are you ok? It had to hurt to say that.
I was taking a dump at the time, so lib thought just seemed to flow.
Sounds like a better shoot (in the torso) vs yesterday’s shoot (in the back, running away).
Looking at that Rattler & the 300 BLK.
Now it could be my not yet fully awake mind, but that 300 BLK looks very close to 7.62×39.
Has anyone done a ballistics comparison between the two?
And…..has anyone chopped up an SKS or AK to match the dimensions of the Rattler (5.5″ barrel), and done a side-by-side? So far, I think I’d use an SKS vs the Rattler. Sounds like the Rattler has some “teething” problems.
kind of an apples and oranges comparison – the .300 BLK is really designed as a heavy-bullet at lower velocity cartridge, whereas the Russian round is designed to fire lighter bullets at much higher velocities.
AK pistols similar to AR pistols – short barrel, “stabilizing brace” buttstock – are fairly common. Noisy as hell, though. Suppressors are probably not real effective given that the muzzle velocity of the AK round is probably double supersonic.
When I was around 3 or 4 and we were living in an off-base trailer park, when dad was stationed at Sheppard AFB Texas as an instructor (69-71) after his tour in Vietnam.
Someone broke into our trailer late at night, dad shot him twice, and since he was standing in the doorway when he collapsed he fell down the steps into the yard.
Dad was questioned by the Sheriff and it was a pretty easy investigation. Do you know him, have you seen him before, did you invite him in etc. All answered with no. Ruled a justifiable homicide and case closed right there in the front yard with the body still there.
One last question was asked, what did you shoot him with. Dad said 44 Magnum. The Sheriff looked at my dad and said “Damn son, you done went and killed him twice.”
That was one of my dad’s favorite stories. Play stupid games, and you’ll end you end up dead. Up to when dad retired in 88, he still had the news clipping from the incident.
