Circle the date – Wednesday 1/21

Ought to be an interesting day in Congress next Wednesday.
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer said on Wednesday the panel plans to move forward with contempt of Congress proceedings against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton after she defied a subpoena for a deposition as part of the panel’s probe into convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
It comes a day after Comer, a Republican, said the committee plans to hold former President Bill Clinton in contempt of Congress as well after he refused to appear for a scheduled deposition. Comer said the committee will vote next Wednesday on holding the Clintons in contempt of Congress.
“Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton joined her husband in defying a bipartisan, lawful congressional subpoena to show up today,” Comer said, later adding, “We’re going to hold both Clintons in criminal contempt of Congress.”
I’ll believe it when I see it, but it’s nice to at least see a threat of action on the Epstein case. The Clintons, of course, blame it all on partisan politics.
“Every person has to decide when they have seen or had enough and are ready to fight for this country, its principles and its people, no matter the consequences,” the Clintons wrote in the letter. “For us, now is that time.”
The Clintons blasted Comer, saying in the letter that, “There is no plausible explanation for what you are doing other than partisan politics.”
Yeah, I remember them protesting a few Trump impeachments as just partisan… wait, they didn’t. The Russia dossier wasn’t just partisan – no, it was too. Face it, by now, even whether you dress left or right signals a partisan decision, if you’re in Washington. One of their many lawyers sent the following:
Hillary Clinton “has no personal knowledge of Epstein or Maxwell’s criminal activities, never flew on his aircraft, never visited his island, and cannot recall ever speaking to Epstein. She has no personal knowledge of Maxwell’s activities with Epstein,” Kendall wrote. “President Clinton’s contact with Epstein ended two decades ago, and given what came to light much after, he has expressed regret for even that limited association,” an Oct. 6 letter to the committee says.
Neither Bill Clinton nor Hillary Clinton has been accused of wrongdoing and denies having any knowledge of Epstein’s crimes. No Epstein survivor or associate has ever made a public allegation of wrongdoing or inappropriate behavior by the former president or his wife in connection with his prior relationship with Epstein. Me, I’d be more impressed with that ‘two decades ago’ if Epstein hadn’t been charged in 2006 and became political anathema.
Make ’em testify. Heck, I’d ask for testimony from ANYONE on the flight logs. They have nothing to hide, they should have no problem. You want to root out cockroaches, shine a light on ’em – regardless of what political office they held. Or hold.

“No Epstein survivor has made an allegation…”. Hmm. How many of them are dead now? There’s your Clinton/Epstein nexus.
Hilldog might not have personal knowledge, but i bet she’s got personal knowledge of every time Billy left the house and came back a week later and his bottle of viagra was down by a few.
Maybe in the absence of live Clintons, the committee should just blowup every picture of Clinton from the files and post them at life size in the chambers while the C-Span camera pans across them.
This…
From Hillary’s perspective there is no point in testifying. These committees are aways there for sound bites, grand standing and virtue signaling. She can’t tell the truth so no matter what she says she it will be twisted around. She is just a sad old cuckqueen that no one pays attention to anymore anyway.
Any of those folks voting on the contempt charge possibly feeling suicidal??? Would anyone be surprised if they were found hors de combat in an office with 5 suicidal gunshots to the back of the head? Anyone?
I think that the gop will punk (chicken) out when push comes to shove and vote with the demoRats against doing anything to the carters.
“Hillary Clinton “has no personal knowledge of Epstein or Maxwell’s criminal activities, never flew on his aircraft, never visited his island, and cannot recall ever speaking to Epstein. She has no personal knowledge of Maxwell’s activities with Epstein,””
If so, you show up in front of congress and testify to that. It’s a simple process, really.
