More Democrats

Seems like such a short time since:
Crockett recently raised eyebrows over her Federal Election Commission filings that showed she spent nearly $75,000 of donor money on luxury hotels, transportation and security this year in cities across the U.S.
Crockett’s filings show luxury hotel and transportation expenses in Martha’s Vineyard, Chicago, New York City, Las Vegas, San Francisco and Los Angeles, among other major cities, despite representing Texas’ 30th Congressional District, which includes Dallas. Fox News
Oh, wait – that was last Friday. No wonder it seems so recent. Nonetheless, Ms. Crockett has decided she is no longer happy to be slumming with the other lowlifes (like Omar, Bucktooth Sandy, etc.) and is going to run against John Cornyn (R) for one of Texas’ Senate seats. Cornyn does not appear to be shaking in his boots.
Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) openly celebrated the news on Monday that Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) had joined the Democratic Party’s primary for his Senate seat. Crockett pushed out former Rep. Colin Allred (D-TX), who is the more moderate of the two, when she joined the race, which pits her against progressive state Rep. James Talarico (D). Mediaite
One thing you can say for sure; modern Senate races offer up more opportunity for graft sure cost more than they used to. It will be interesting to see who her donor base is? Me, I’m thinking a couple of megadonors will have her bought and sold.
By the way, the actual candidate to watch against Cornyn is Ken Paxton (R, MAGA), the state’s current Attorney General. Apparently he has a break in the indictments and charges against him to be able to run.

And, touching back on Biden’s chaotic Afghan withdrawal:
…a government watchdog tasked with overseeing Afghanistan reconstruction efforts declared that “U.S. taxpayer-funded equipment, weapons, and facilities” left behind during the chaotic 2021 U.S. withdrawal have now “formed the core of the Taliban security apparatus.”
“However, DOD determined that the United States left behind approximately $7.1 billion in material and equipment it had given to the ANDSF.
Pretty sure seven billion in small arms is a lot. Wasn’t it sweet of Mr. Biden to make sure that all those dirt-poor Afghans who couldn’t afford their own weaponry got a really nice stock for free?
The 137-page document released this week from the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) states that Congress provided approximately $144.7 billion for Afghanistan reconstruction between 2002 and 2021 as part of a mission promising to bring stability and democracy to the country, “yet ultimately delivered neither.”
“Due to the Taliban takeover, SIGAR was unable to inspect any of the equipment provided to, or facilities constructed for, the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) following the Afghan government’s collapse,” the report said.
“Similarly, any remaining ANDSF facilities that were not destroyed, can be assumed to be under Taliban control. These U.S. taxpayer-funded equipment, weapons, and facilities have formed the core of the Taliban security apparatus.” Fox News II
A good reason to oppose nation-building, seems we have a habit of leaving behind a well-armed inimical resistance.

If history is any guide 80-90% of Crockett’s funding will come from outside the State of Texas.
When, I ask, when are these miscreants who steal taxpayer money going to be dealt with in a harsh manner?
Ahh. More of “the JC Way” as she called it. Sad that she is considered a viable contender for office in ANY state, let alone Texas. Move over, Beto; there’s a new loser coming to replace you.
If Trump invades Venezuela she will almost certainly be elected.
