Donald Trump orders autopen investigation – Joe Biden insists he made the decisions
President Donald Trump ordered an investigation focusing on the use of the autopen during Biden’s administration. Joe Biden insisted that he was the one who made the decisions regarding signing the pardons, executive orders, legislations, and proclamations. Biden further added that claims that he didn’t make these decisions are ridiculous and false.

“I made the decisions about the pardons, executive orders, legislation, and proclamations. Any suggestion that I didn’t is ridiculous and false,” Biden said in a statement.
“This is nothing more than a distraction by Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans who are working to push disastrous legislation that would cut essential programs like Medicaid and raise costs on American families, all to pay for tax breaks for the ultra-wealthy and big corporations,” he added.
Trump called on Attorney General Pam Bondi to open investigations into top Biden officials on Wednesday, arguing they may have conspired to deceive the public about his mental state and exercised presidential authority through use of the autopen.
Trump wrote in a Wednesday memo that the U.S. president has a tremendous amount of power and responsibility through his signature. Not only can the signature turn words into laws of the land, but it also appoints individuals to some of the highest positions in government, creates or eliminates national policies and allows prisoners to go free.
“In recent months, it has become increasingly apparent that former President Biden’s aides abused the power of Presidential signatures through the use of an autopen to conceal Biden’s cognitive decline and assert Article II authority,” Trump wrote. “This conspiracy marks one of the most dangerous and concerning scandals in American history. The American public was purposefully shielded from discovering who wielded the executive power, all while Biden’s signature was deployed across thousands of documents to effect radical policy shifts.”

Make him name off 10% of the names and the background for the pardons/commutations. He said he was in charge and oversaw everything. If he cannot do this, void all of them. There is no way he knew anything about 99.9% of what Jill had the staffers doing.
Hell give him a list of random names and have him put check marks next to all the ones he didn’t gave pardons to.
Don’ t forget Hunter. One former staffer says that Hunter was in the inner circle running the show in the last six months of his term.

Joe didn’t make the decisions on what to autopen. He didn’t even write the statement claiming he did. Yup, autopenned that, too.
That thought occurred to me as well, if he still has an autopen. Perhaps, the staff bought one to sign all those fund raising letters for the Biden Presidential Library fund.
I doubt that he was making the decision to change his own diapers.
On a serious note; the blood of the innocent victims of the recent terror attacks and those in the near future, that are committed by illegal allies that used his open borders and lenient immigration policies, will rest entirely on his hands and those of his administration.
If any legal action against Biden ever comes of his border policies, you will immediately see his former staff throwing each other under the bus when Joe’s legal team claims the policies were created by others and signed via autopen without his knowledge. It’s gonna be an awesome thing to watch.

For several years now I believed that Barry 0 was running the show, but after watching a piece on Newsmax last night they convinced me that “Dr” (yeah right) Jill was actually pulling the strings. So let’s pretend Joe was lucid enough to actually make the reported statement, but keep in mind that he’s also a known plagiarist, pathological liar and fabulist.

I’m curious if the autopen device has a time/date stamp that records when it was used. If so, it’d be interesting to compare those entries against his calendar (daily routine, travel, etc). I’ll bet whatever was signed occurred while Biden was away from the White House fucking off at whatever beach he went to, or during one of his trips. Better yet, I suspect they were signed while he was sleeping, because he only worked about 4-6 hours a day during the last 18 months in office.

Autopen for official acts needs to be outlawed. It should have been ages ago, but the convenience to the POTUS is just too great. I bet similar devices are used by lesser constitutional officers too.
Autopen is fine for signing birthday cards or retirement letters to civil servants. If it’s something that requires the president’s signature by law, then it needs to be the president’s signature. Not some machine.
I expect Congress to not address this. These pardons might be the impetus for some precedent from the courts, but I have a feeling everyone will just shrug and go on about their lives.

The purpose of a pardon is to correct an obvious miscarriage of justice (i.e., wrongful conviction), not because you disagree with a law that convicted a person in the first place.
In the case of Biden’s last round of pardons, he’s not saying that the law was applied to harshly or unfairly to those convicted, but instead sent a signal that he doesn’t like the laws and unilaterally undermined them.
It’s no surprise he granted a pardon to Hunter.
What liberals don’t understand is that Biden doing what he did, especially with the preemptive pardons, he set a precedent.
